Kate Bosworth In Balmain - 2013 Met Gala

Kate Bosworth dared to bare her legs on the red carpet of the Met Gala.

The actress wore a long-sleeved embellished Balmain top, styled as a dress.

While most of the time wearing a top as a dress is a total fashion ‘don’t’, Kate looks stunning. By adding a gold belt and a simple black Ferragamo pumps, she lets this gorgeous pink number really shine.

The star doesn’t often play up her eyes, and her bold cat eye is a nice touch with this opulent, sexy look.

This is one of my favorite looks from Kate in a while! Do you agree?

Kate Bosworth In Balmain - Moda Operandi’s ‘A Midnight Supper’ Event

Kate Bosworth posed alongside Prabal Gurung at the Regis Hotel in New York City on Saturday at the celebrated Moda Operandi’s ‘A Midnight Supper’ event, which launched the retailer’s exclusive ‘Punk Collection’.

Giving us our fourth Balmain look in a week, the actress wore a look from the Fall 2013 collection.

Toning down the runway look somewhat, Kate wore a black leather top with a green iridescent tulip-shaped skirt, which she styled with black pumps and a Balmain leather clutch.

Zoe Saldana wore a similar look from the Pre-Fall 2013 collection last week which didn’t go down too well with the majority of you, so how does this look fare?

Kate, the ‘style maven’, is totally overwhelmed by those padded shoulders, which frankly ruin the majority of this collection.

She could’ve countered that by simply putting her hair up, but my guess is she was trying to disguise those quarterback shoulders.

Not a great look for the usually impeccable star.

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley & Nicole Richie In Balmain - Balmain LA Dinner Party

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Nicole Richie attended a dinner party hosted by Balmain which was held at the Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles, California on Thursday evening.
They were all, of course, wearing Balmain.

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley: I kind of feel sorry for Rosie here as the Balmain Spring 2013 collection is not an easy one to pull off – even Zoe Saldana couldn’t get you to love it. The collection was an eyesore: a cropped padded-shouldered leather top with front-pocket detailing and an overworked multi-print flared mini skirt… I mean, really Olivier? This wouldn’t look great on anyone. I only like her fresh face and Balmain open-toe booties here.

Nicole Richie: The designer and ‘Fashion Star’ judge is my favourite here. Her Spring 2013 summery-hued frock with embroidered details was her perfect choice. Actually, I’m surprised the look didn’t overwhelm her as there is a lot going on.

Who look do you prefer here?

Zoe Saldana In Balmain - ‘Star Trek Into Darkness’ Berlin Premiere

There is one thing that Zoe Saldana does well and that is outdo herself.

We were all swooning at her red carpet return, wearing Calvin Klein at the ‘Star Trek Into Darkness’ Berlin photocall, then she goes one better at the movie’s premiere, held at the Sony Center in Potsdamer Platz in Berlin on Monday evening.

She stunned wearing a Balmain Pre-Fall 2013 ensemble.

The look featured a pink-and-gold-embroidered leather top with a hot-pink high-waisted tulip-shaped draped skirt.

Factor in a sleek centre-parted ‘do and a sleek black manicure and you have one hot look, however, I am not a fan of the leather back.

Not wanting to continue to rain on this parade, I do wish her black mesh Christian Louboutin ‘Pigaresille’ pointy pumps had been better colour coordinated to the front of her dress.

Is the leather back a deal breaker for you?

Olga Kurylenko In Balmain - 'Oblivion' Taiwan Premiere

Our Best Dressed of the Week winner, Olga Kurylenko, continued to promote her latest movie, ‘Oblivion’, by attending the Taipei premiere in Taiwan with co-star Tom Cruise on Saturday evening.

She has been stunning us with a variety of dresses by Nina Ricci, Emilio Pucci, Elie Saab and Marchesa, so she took a different route this time, wearing a Balmain Pre-Fall 2013 frock.

The high-neck long-sleeved micro-mini leather dress, which almost looks like it was carved out of varnished wood, was styled with a neat bun and glossy lips, and gold Jimmy Choo ‘Lance’ sandals.

I love this look. It’s my second favourite following the Marchesa gown. She’s keeping us on our toes, keeping things interesting and proving she’s not a one-trick pony.

Some of you tire of a never-ending stream of gowns during a promo tour, so are you glad she switched things up on this occasion?

Who Wore Balmain S13 Better Hyun Bin or Yong Jun-hyung

Hyun Bin wore a Balmain collarless brown leather jacket from the Spring 2013 collection while at Incheon International Airport in South Korea earlier this month.

The South Korean actor opted to style his rock n’ roll jacket with a deep-neck black shirt, a pair of distressed blue jeans and black boots.

Yong Jun-hyung arrived at the ‘G.I. Joe: Retaliation’ world premiere, along with Ha Yeon-Soo, wearing the same jacket a few days later.

The ‘Beast’ singer/songwriter wore the jacket with a black-and-red colour-blocked shirt, black leather pants and a pair of black high-top sneakers.

I can’t say I’m a huge fan of either look; I would have preferred a mixture of the two.

I like everything about Jun-hyung’s outfit except the leather pants. Had he worn jeans like Hyun Bin, I think it would have made for a great look.

Hyun Bin wins for me.
