Olga Kurylenko In Azzedine Alaia - 'Liaisons Au Louvre III' Charity Gala Dinner

Olga Kurylenko attended ‘Liaisons Au Louvre III’ Charity Gala Dinner hosted by American International Friends of Le Louvre held at Cour Carree du Louvre in Paris, France on Tuesday evening.

The Ukrainian-born actress jumped on the barely-there makeup trend wearing a pink Azzedine Alaia fitted knit gown with a fishtail skirt.

We have seen this style of dress in many guises, most notably from Naomi Campbell, and Alicia Keys – twice – at the Grammys and the Super Bowl.

Olga’s gown differs as it has a v-neckline and body-contouring panels.

She styled the look with a fire-engine-red contrasting clutch and a stunning statement necklace, which the dress probably didn’t need; however, it adds a touch of glamour to her look in the absence of makeup.

Rihanna In Chanel & Alaia

While in Paris, France, Rihanna didn’t shirk her boundaries-pushing sartorial sensibility. Always the hair chameleon, she showed off a honey hue with the requisite dark roots, as she trotted out two daring, rebellious looks that no doubt kept the City of Light on its toes.

L’Avenue Restaurant: On Tuesday, the Barbadian beauty had a top-to-toe Chanel moment—one that Coco Chanel herself could probably never have fathomed—at the prestigious eatery. Rather appropriately, she also toured Coco’s Parisian apartment. The bandeau top, high-waisted tennis skirt and blazer oozed of RiRi’s unique style. To the all-white ensemble, she added a hodgepodge of double Cs, including lapel brooches, a chain necklace, a major cuff, and funky round sunnies. The clunky, gold creeper sneakers from Chanel’s Resort 2013 collection finished out the look. It was glam-grunge at its finest, but was it too much to swallow?

Azzedine Alaïa Dinner: The songstress continued her rambunctious style, this time in an all-out Azzedine Alaïa look at a dinner for the designer. The skintight, velvet maroon catsuit brought RiRi’s curves to the party, and the deep V-neck showed off her Isis tattoo. She indulged in massive accessories, from her pile of door-knocker, tasseled necklaces to a wild python clutch that was large and in charge. More impact came with black suede circle sandals and a matte oxblood lip. After all, ‘over-the-top’ has never been part of Rihanna’s vocabulary.

Naomi Campbell In Azzedine Alaia - 6th Annual Essence Black Women In Hollywood

Naomi Campbell joined name twin Naomie Harris at the 6th Annual Essence Black Women in Hollywood luncheon at the Beverly Hills Hotel on Thursday.

All smiles from her new stint as model coach on ‘The Face’, Naomi chose to wear a short and sweet dress by one of her favourite designers, Azzedine Alaia. This is the second time Naomi recently wore  the designer, which she sported to the season premiere of her new show.

The lightly pink, high-neck dress offered a pleasantly exaggerated take on the fit-and-flare silhouette with perforated darted details and soft pleating.

The look was a bit more sweet than what the model typically gravitates towards, but it worked. Especially so as the saccharine dress was styled with gladiator-inspired Alaia shoes that brought the right amount of sass and edge to the look.

The model opted to top off the dress with a casual down hairstyle, less-is-more makeup, and bangles.

BDOTW Womens 18 Feb

Despite an amazing week of stunning gowns, it was a two clothes-horse race for the title of Best Dressed this week.

It was a close call, but you eventually picked Rihanna’s Alaia Grammy dress as your favourite, whereas I picked the runner-up Marion Cotillard.

We may grumble at the French actress always wearing Dior, but she wears it so well.

Many wouldn’t have been able to pull off this fashion-forward look with such ease, plus I love bold colour, which brightened up a cold and rainy evening in London.

When it came to men, our choices again couldn’t be more different. You picked the handsome Eddie Redmayne in Alexander McQueen, whereas I opted for Frank Ocean in Dior Homme.

Aside from the sleek ink-blue colour, I loved that he wore such a laidback piece on a red carpet where most of the men opted for a classic tux. The Grammys is the one place to stand out and do something different so I’m glad he didn’t opt for a suit and tie.

Alicia Keys In Azzedine Alaia - 2013 Grammy Awards

Fresh off her performance at Super Bowl XLVII, Alicia Keys walked the red carpet at Sunday’s 2013 Grammy Awards where the singer was nominated for the producer of the year award.

With just a week post-Super Bowl, the singer chose to sport another body-con Azzedine Alaia design to the music awards.

The black formfitting dress hugged the singer’s curves in all the right places thanks to a fishtail silhouette. As if the snug fit wasn’t sexy enough, a midriff-baring crisscross bodice in a dramatic crocodile embossing amped up the sex appeal.

To complete the look, the singer styled her gown with matching black and white, snake-detailed earrings and a cocktail ring. A deep red lip and manicure topped off her glamorous style.
