The Bling Ring Photocall

Emma Watson
was joined by her co-stars this afternoon for the Cannes Film Festival photocall for ‘The Bling Ring’ at the Palais des Festivals.

Claire Julien: Balmain are usually very particular about who they loan to, which is why we only see their pieces on the likes of Kate Bosworth, Rihanna and Zoe Saldana, so I was very surprised to see the young actress don a look from the French brand’s Spring 2013 collection. The white harlequin embroidered two-piece look, which slightly washes her out, was styled with white peep-toes.

Katie Chang: The young actress looked adorable in her Jill Stuart Fall 2013 striped dress paired with Coach ‘Dani’heels. You may remember that Solange Knowles wore a look from the same collection recently, but her version was modified to showcase a lot of boobage.

Taissa Farmiga: This frothy white tiered dress with black accessories is the most girlie look of the bunch. Some might consider this look too twee for the 18-year-old actress. While she makes it work, a part of me wishes this was sleeveless.

Sofia Coppola: As always, director Sofia Coppola looks effortlessly chic in a Louis Vuitton look I am guessing took her two minutes to rustle up. She looks like she has just wandered in from a morning stroll along the French Riviera.

Kate Beckinsale In Alberta Ferretti - 'Star Trek Into Darkness' LA Premiere

Working the best footwear on the red carpet at the Dolby Theatre in LA for the ‘Star Trek Into Darkness’ premiere last night was Kate Beckinsale.

Sadly, this was the most memorable thing about her look, considering her Alberta Ferretti Pre-Fall 2013 black strapless dress with an asymmetrical hem doesn’t provide much of a talking point other than that it is very similar in style to her Met Gala dress by the same designer.

Irit jewels and a updo completed her look.

You can buy Kate’s Jimmy Choo heels from Bergdorf Goodman, Jimmy Choo US, Jimmy Choo UK, Nordstrom and Neiman Marcus.

Tess Daley In Alberta Ferretti - British Academy Television Awards 2013

Tess Daley opted for quite a dramatic look on the red carpet for the British Academy Television Awards 2013 held at the Royal Festival Hall in London on Sunday.

So much so that I didn’t recognise the ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ host in her Alberta Ferretti Fall 2013 black gown, with art deco beading on a sheer bodice and a black sweeping skirt with chiffon layers.

I love the glam Hollywood styling; however, the lining brings down the look for me.

I’m not saying that the gown shouldn’t have been lined; I just wish it was closer to her skin colour so as not to provide such a stark contrast. As presented, Tess’s gown has lost most of the runway allure.

Kate Beckinsale took to the red carpet Monday night to support the Metropolitan Museum of Art at its annual Met Gala in New York.

The actress wore a pink frock from Alberta Ferretti with an Edie Parker clutch.

Wearing pink, the unofficial colour of the evening, Kate looked fantastic in a strapless, asymetrical, high-low dress.

Kate added punk accents via strappy shoes, and statement gold and silver geometric earrings and a matching ring.

And of course, we can’t forget her sexy meets sophisticated meets undone slept-in-my-makeup smokey eye that paired so well with her volume-injected mohwak.

Kasia Smutniak In Alberta Ferretti - 'In Treatment' Rome Premiere

I almost didn’t recognise Kasia Smutniak on the red carpet at the Teatro Capranica where she attended the ‘In Treatment’ Rome premiere in Italy yesterday evening.

That’s mostly because she wasn’t wearing Valentino.

On this occasion, she wore an Alberta Ferretti Fall 2013 dress, our first look at this collection on the red carpet.

While this black-and-white lace dress isn’t to my personal taste, I find something quite appealing about the simplicity of the look.

She looks so serene and beautiful that, if anything, she enhances the gown, when we expect the opposite.

A selection of rings, a pale-pink lip colour and a centre-parted bun completed her look.

Chic minimalism or plain boring?
