Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Taylor Swift was easily the best dressed on the red carpet for the 2012 Academy of Country Music Awards, held on Sunday in Las Vegas, Nevada.

She looked outstanding wearing a J. Mendel Fall 2012 dress.

Gilles Mendel is very much Taylor’s go-to designer, but on this occasion she opted for a very modern, sleek sleeveless dress with metallic gold accents and cut-outs.

I guess she has read your comments because not a single sequin or embellishment was in sight for two red carpet appearances in a row.

Lorraine Schwartz jewels and Christian Louboutin ‘Summerissima’ criss-cross platform sandals accessorized her look.

Wavy hair, blunt bangs, kohl-rimmed eyes and a nude lip colour provided the finishing touches.

No sequins, no updo and no red lips. I think I need to lie down from the shock.

This by far one of Taylor’s best ever red carpet looks. I hope she ditches the ballerina-style dresses and gives us more of this in the future.

I just hope you guys haven’t put her off sequins for good.

Taylor Swift was honoured yesterday at the 2012 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards with the ‘Big Help’ Award from First Lady Michelle Obama for her ongoing charitable work.

The singer accepted her award wearing a Maria Lucia Hohan ivory dress.

Her ballerina-inspired silk-satin halter bustier dress with a flowing pleated chiffon skirt was paired with gorgeous gold Nicholas Kirkwood sandals and Lorraine Schwartz jewelry.

A braided updo, coral lips and a pop of colour via her blue nails completed her look.

Taylor Swift attended the LA premiere of ‘Dr. Suess’ The Lorax’ on Sunday evening.

The singer makes her animated debut in the film, by lending her voice to the character ‘Audrey.’

For the event, Taylor chose a lady-like Honor Spring 2012 dress with a full A-line skirt.

At first I thought the dress has a tan leather Peter-Pan collar, but her dress actually has cut-out details around the neckline.

Between the colour of the dress and shoes, plus her fair skin and blonde hair, it’s hard to tell where the dress ends and Taylor begins.

Bright shoes or her signature red lip colour were much needed here.

Taylor Swift arrived on the red carpet at the 2012 Grammy Awards wearing in yet another nude, sparkly gown.

That said, Taylor did show off some variety in her Zuhair Muard Fall 2011 Couture gown, with a high neckline which we haven’t seen before on the strapless-gown-loving singer.

Her cap-sleeved gown featured intricate gold and rose-gold beading, plus a flowing train.

The most unexpected part of the ensemble was Taylor’s hair and makeup.

While she usually opts for a signature look of tight curls and red lips on the carpet, Taylor showed off a polished ballerina bun and neutral makeup.

I know this won’t be popular, but I love the look.

Back in October last year, Taylor Swift did the unthinkable and wore a dress without a single sequin.

Whilst attending the Tennessee launch of her new fragrance, ‘Wonderstruck’, she wore a Ted Baker ‘Marui’ dress with a beautiful chandelier print.

The dress was teamed with tights and pumps and styled with her signature bright lips and wavy hair.

Keke Palmer wore the same dress last month when she visited Planet Hollywood on Times Square in New York.

I prefer her beige ankle-strap pumps and her overall more flirty nature in this dress, so she wins for me.
