JW Anderson for Versus by Versace Collection Launch Party

Donatella Versace hosted an event at the Lexington Avenue Armory in New York City on Wednesday evening to celebrate the launch of the JW Anderson for Versus by Versace collection.

Heidi Klum: The ‘America’s Got Talent’ judge wore a lace-accented LBD from the Versace Spring 2013 collection with black pumps. My issue is not the revealing nature of her dress or her pumps, but her ghostly makeup.

Taylor Momsen: Perhaps Heidi was taking makeup tips from Taylor Momsen, who took to the red carpet sporting a paler complexion than usual with her trademark racoon eyes. I haven’t been a fan of Taylor’s style since she morphed into her ‘Gossip Girl’ character Jenny, but I have to say I love this harlequin Versace suit. Sometimes she takes the grunge too far, but this more polished look I can get on board with.

Hayden Panettiere: With most going for all-black, hard-edged looks, Hayden opted for a beige-coloured flirty frock from the Versace Spring 2013 collection, which she styled with nude pumps and a clutch which matched her dress.

Does anyone else find it ironic that ‘rock chick’ Taylor Momsen was at the 2011 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards?

Isn’t this type of award show everything she’s totally against?

I don’t think her real rock stars like Courtney Love would attend such an event.

The ‘Gossip Girl’ actress gives her best ‘bad ass’ look with her typical garb including fish net tights, leather jacket, raccoon make-up and tacky extensions.

Taylor Momsen In Alexander McQueen – 2010 MTV EMAs

Worst Dressed Award
Taylor Momsen looked a hot mess at the 2010 MTV EMAs in Madrid tonight, but what’s new.

I did however take interest in her Alexander McQueen Fall 2010 over-the-knee boots.

The black stretch leather thigh-high boots have multiple buckle straps.

Inspired by the work of Grinling Gibbons, the heel is composed from ornate floral carved resin with a black and gold shiny coating and gold painted sole.

Where are her parents?

01.09.10 Who Wore It Better?

Who Wore Emilio Pucci Better? Elsa Pataky or Taylor Momsen

During Cannes Film Festival Elsa Pataky attended the “Didi Hollywood” international press event wearing an Emilio Pucci Fall 2010 mini dress.

Her dress was paired with a gorgeous pair of Emilio Pucci multi-strap suede sandals and a silver box clutch.

Taylor Momsen wore the same dress on the ‘Gossip Girl’ set this week with Dr. Marten boots and a silver cuff.

You need plenty of attitude to pull off this dress.

Both look great in this dress, but I have to give this to Taylor simply because I love that the dress is shorter on her because like Anja they both have long legs.

I also think the dress works better with Taylor’s attitude.

On The Gossip Girl Set With Taylor Momsen In Emilio Pucci

‘Little J’ made her comeback on the set of Gossip Girl yesterday in New York City.

Taylor Momsen has been touring with her band this summer, so this was her first day back at work.

She arrived on set wearing an Emilio Pucci Fall 2010 one-shoulder burnt velvet mini dress which isn’t as sheer as it appears on the runway.

Her gorgeous dress was paired with sheer tights – which were of course laddered – and Dr. Marten boots.

This is the second time we are seeing Taylor wearing Pucci on Gossip Girl, as she wore one of their Fall 2009 mini dresses last year.

How the rest of the cast keep a straight face when she walks on set is beyond me.

I can feel the attitude from here.

Season 4 of Gossip Girls airs in the US on September 13 at 9/8c.

Taylor Momsen’s Red Carpet Transformation

One of Taylor Momsen’s first red carpet appearances was back in 2007, before she landed her role as Jenny Humphrey in “Gossip Girl”.

Back then she was promoting her film “Paranoid Park” at Cannes Film Festival wearing sparkling ballet flats, jeans and a white top.

By the time she started “Gossip Girl”, she was a typical teen wearing pink cute dresses, whilst her make-up was kept light and fresh.

By 2008 Taylor had cut-off her girlie locks and wore more make-up. She also developed more of an attitude on the red carpet.

Her style had become a touch sassier as she opted for shorter styles, tight bustier dresses and leather jackets to toughen up her look.

At this point we were noting that she was becoming a mini Debbie Harry.

By 2009 we’d given her make-up its own name – raccoon.

Because that’s what she looked like each time she hit the red carpet.

At this point she appeared to constantly be in character, not knowing were Jenny Humphrey ended and were Taylor Momsen began.

Mini Debbie Harry had become full on Courtney Love with tacky extensions, swearing on British television, ripped stockings, outerwear as underwear and waaaayyy too much boobage for a 16 year old.

The shocking thing is she’s still only 16, yet she dresses way too old for her age.

I’m glad Taylor Swift – who is 4 years older than Momsen – is in no hurry to age so badly.
