Tod’s is trying to inject its sophisticated style with a little bit of teen spirit and I am glad they did not decide on Lindsay Lohan.

It was announced this week that the luxury Italian fashion house will feature Sienna Miller in its fall-winter 2007-2008 advertising campaign. This is the first time the accessories and ready-to-wear brand has used a celebrity to endorse its line of bags, shoes and clothing collection.

OH MY GOD POSH….she has really done it this time. She has really shocked us with this outfit, and I LOVE IT. It is much better than the MTV outfit.

The girl has got balls and you gotta love her for that. She is wearing a Roberto Cavalli corset and everything else is by Chanel excluding those fabulous YSL tribute pumps.

In the last few weeks we have had Kate Moss and Lily Allen launch fashion lines. We are still awaiting the Cruz sisters for Mango and Gisele Bundchen for H&M.

I have asked before and I am asking again…How many of these celebrity fashion lines do we need?

Taking a closer look at some photos of the collection taken by Fashion Inc’s, Lauren Goldstein Crowe I do like the collection, but it looks expensive. It looks like it is aimed at “ladies who lunch” and shop on Park Ave or Sloane Street rather the ordinary girl in the street that shops at TopShop, H&M or New Look.

The launch is planned for September and will be titled Twenty8Twelve by s.miller. The range will be sold in Harvey Nichols, Matches, Neiman Marcus and Bergdorf Goodman, which further proves my point the this will not be an affordable ‘for everyone’ line.

The collection will consists of empire line smock dresses, skinny jeans, silk tops and tailored wool blazers.

According to WWD, the debut autumn/winter 2007-8 collection, takes its inspiration from an eclectic mix between Dickensian London and Sixties musician and muse to Andy Warhol, Patti Smith.
