Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Selena Gomez opted for a very sexy look on the red carpet for the 2012 Nickelodeon Annual Kids’ Choice Awards, held at the Galen Center in LA yesterday afternoon.

The singer wore a Dolce & Gabbana Spring 2012 two-piece look.

A floral jacquard bustier top was teamed with a two-tone crystal embellished skirt.

She didn’t let us down in the footwear department as she opted for Cesare Paciotti two-tone pink-and-orange studded heels.

I love that Selena managed to find the perfect way of looking sexy without looking trashy.

It has been exactly one year since Hollywood’s hottest young couple, Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber, publically stepped out at the 2011 Vanity Fair Oscar Party.

At last night’s West Hollywood 2012 Vanity Fair Oscar party, Selena returned to the red carpet in a stunning silver Dolce & Gabbanna gown.

The slinky dress was covered in a floral appliqué print, and fit the young actress/singer like a glove.

A faux-bob added to the glamorous vibe of this look.

Selena Gomez was joined on the red carpet at the Nokia Theatre LA Live for the 2011 American Music Award by boyfriend Justin Bieber last night.

She wore a Giorgio Armani plunging satin gown.

Her bias cut pewter satin gown with a low-cut open back and ruched bodice was accented with a long fringed sash-like detail.

I love how her Jimmy Choos, bag and nail polish matched her gown.

To complete the glamorous old Hollywood vibe, Selena styled her locks à la Veronica Lake with her dark, loose curls tucked behind one ear to showcase her dazzling earrings.

I adore this look. She looks grown up without the look aging her, and the colour complements her skin tone perfectly.

It wasn’t only Lady Gaga who had several wardrobe changes during the 2011 MTV European Music Awards on Sunday night. As the host, Selena Gomez showcased several looks too.

She arrived on the red carpet wearing Marchesa, before going on to make eight more changes.

My favourite look was her Moschino Spring 2010 dress.

The fruity mini dress, with an embellished cowl neck and a bubble skirt, was teamed with Swarovski jewels and Casadei gold crystallized peep-toes.

The 2011 MTV Europe Music Awards, which was held in Belfast, North Ireland, was hosted by American teen star Selena Gomez.

Justin Bieber’s girl wore a Marchesa Fall 2011 dress.

Her ivory embroidered and tulle Marchesa look was actually presented as at top during Fashion Week.

Selena just about pulls this look off without it looking too much like an ice-skating costume. Thank God she didn’t opt for the tulle cuffs.

Matching Casadei embellished peep-toes and a side-sweeping tumbling curls completed her look.

Do you think Selena pulls this off, or does she look like she’s wearing an ice-skating costume?

Too Dark & Too Gothic Award
Selena Gomez co-hosted the Pre-Show at the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards which was held tonight in LA at the Nokia Theatre.

The petite actress chose an intricate black Julien MacDonald Fall 2011 dress.

Her gothic look features a high lace neckline, a short skirt in the front and an overlay in the back with a longer train.

Selena brightened up her dark ensemble by adding gold accessories, including Brian Atwood pumps, a Judith Leiber metallic box clutch, Lorraine Schwartz Ofira gold drop earrings with black stones and a gorgeous black and gold Lorraine Schwartz Ofira cuff.

She finished her look by pulling her hair back into a casual bun and wearing pink lip-gloss.

I love Selena’s accessories but think her dress is a little too sophisticated for the MTV VMA Awards.

I wish she had opted for something brighter, younger and more fun.
