Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Sarah Jessica Parker attended the 2011 Brain Trauma Foundation Gala in New York City on Monday evening.

She wore a vintage black silk dress, paired with Manolo Blanhik stilettos, a VBH bag, Wolford tights and Fred Leighton jewels.

In head-to-toe black, this is definitely an understated look for the usually super-styled Sarah Jessica.

We’re surprised she didn’t add a large overcoat as she’s been known to do of late – but no complaints here. The embellished VHB bag is just enough.

Long, mermaid-esque ombre waves complete the look.

Sarah Jessica Parker was one of the many stars to tread the red carpet at the 34th Kennedy Center Honors event in Washington, D.C. last night.

The actress has never been afraid to make daring choices on the red carpet, a case in point being this Theyskens’ Theory Fall 2011 gown.

For one so petite, this gown with a voluminous skirt should totally overwhelm SJP and swallow her whole, but I think she pulls off this look with great aplomb when so many others would’ve been totally lost.

The gown would’ve had to have been modified to fit her perfectly, yet it hasn’t lost its shape or its volume. Kudos to the tailor.

Looking at the model’s overly creased gown I have to ask, did SJP walk to this event?

A very sleek updo adds yet more volume and height to her look. Dazzling earrings provide the finishing touches.

Love, loathe or undecided?

Me? LOVE, Love, love.

Sarah Jessica Parker attended the 2011 UNICEF Snowflake Ball which took place at Cipriani 42nd Wall Street in New York City last night.

The actress wore a Louis Vuitton Spring 2012 dress.

Her sea-green and ivory ostrich-feathered and sequin-embroidered confection with a silk satin sleeveless crop top perfectly played up to the snowflake theme of the night.

Some of you may say that once again she’s dressing too young for her age, but I think this look was made for SJP.

It’s fun, fashion-forward, cute and doesn’t require black pumps; instead she teamed her look with Louis Vuitton ‘Merry Go Round’ pumps.

I’m not, however, fond of her darker locks which she showcased at this event.

Bring back the blonde.

Sarah Jessica Parker tamed her curly mane for a sleeker look on the red carpet last night for the Museum Of Modern Art 4th Annual Film Benefit, ‘A Tribute To Pedro Almodovar’, in New York City.

The actress wore two pieces from the Chanel Resort 2012 collection.

A drop-waist grey chiffon long dress with beaded details was paired with a navy wool sleeveless jacket

I do love SJP, but I get frustrated at the ‘one unnecessary item’ with nearly every look.

If it’s not a crossbody bag, it’s this jacket.

The dress is so beautiful so I really wish she had worn it on its own.

Sarah Jessica Parker may have been in Melbourne, Australia for the Oaks Ladies Day 2011 Spring Carnival, but she was flying the flag for British Fashion.

The star wore a Jonathan Saunders Spring 2012 pink ombre sleeveless dress which was the perfect choice for Ladies Day.

Her dress was teamed with an Antonio Berardi Spring 2012 tailored silver coat, a string of pearls and mint green Manolo Blahnik pumps.

After wearing a hat which totally overwhelmed her yesterday, SJP opted for a bejewelled headpiece.

The piece was made by her hairdresser Serge Normat, who also styled her tresses into this elaborate bun.

This is SJP’s forth look this week.

Which one is your favourite?

Vera Wang? Chanel? Prabal Gurung? or this Jonathan Saunders dress?
