Salma Hayek In Gucci – 29th Annual Palm Springs International Film Festival

I have always maintained that custom Gucci works best for Salma Hayek, and I feel that was proven at the 29th Annual Palm Springs International Film Festival Awards Gala on Tuesday (January 2) in Palm Springs, California.

The actress looked radiant in her alluring green lace gown featuring a trompe l’oeil bow at the waist.

While bringing a sense of playfulness to the look with her presentation of the gown, the overwhelming feeling was sensual.

I’m praying she stays on this glorious path.

mothers2mothers Winter Fundraiser

Salma Hayek Pinault and Francois-Henri Pinault hosted the mothers2mothers Winter Fundraiser dinner in support of mothers2mothers’ work to create a generation free from HIV on Wednesday (November 29) in London.

Keira Knightley: The British actress wore a signature dress from The Vampire’s Wife in sumptuous black velvet with frilled sleeves adding a mild shimmer.

James Righton: It was actually Keira’s husband James who stole the limelight on this occasion donning a Gucci Spring 2016 red suit. What dawned on me the second I saw James, was how this look would’ve worked just a well for Keira.

9th Annual Governors Awards Red Carpet Roundup

The long list of stars continued at the 9th Annual Governors Awards on Saturday (November 11) in Hollywood, California. Here, a look at the rest of the glamorous ensembles that graced the red carpet.

Jessica Chastain: Flame-red locks and a flame-red gown made for a perfected, fiery match in this Alexander McQueen gown that was topped off with even more elegantly sultry attitude in her red lip.

Kristen Wiig: I’m not sure this Galvan London Fall 2017 velvet gown photographed as well as it could have. But, I still liked her embrace of the daring plunge and the pairing of the Atelier Swarovski by Christopher Kane jewels and Djula diamond hoops.

Sarah Paulson: Channeling a gothic twist on glamour, Sarah showed off the darkly sophisticated side of Miu Miu with this embellished, bold-shoulder gown that was finished in similar mood with an oxblood lip and a Tyler Ellis clutch.

Gucci @ 2017 LACMA Art + Film Gala

As the 2017 LACMA Art + Film Gala in LA on Saturday (November 4) was presented by Gucci, there were quite a number of Gucci looks in attendance from the label’s devoted darlings.

Dakota Johnson: You might recognize this Gucci Spring 2018 embellished, plisse gown from the Red Carpet Wish List for Mandy Moore. Yet, its languid, boudoir glamour was actually in keeping with Dakota’s style, too. I know some may qualify the swoop of her hairstyle as a bit mature, and I wouldn’t disagree. However, I did like the drama brought forth from her long earrings and oxblood lip.

Zoe Saldana: I think Zoe may be the only one who could wear this Gucci gown and not make me want to immediately rip off the giant pink rose corsages from the flamenco, caped shoulders.

Salma Hayek In Ganni & Gucci – SCAD Savannah Film Festival

Salma Hayek presented two looks at the 20th anniversary SCAD Savannah Film Festival over the weekend on Sunday (October 29) in Savannah, Georgia.

‘Beatriz at Dinner’ Q&A: Relying on her love of big, bold prints, Salma donned the Ganni ‘Fayette’ maxi dress. The rose motif made a statement while maintaining such a feminine ease of form that was beautifully seamless on her. I didn’t even mind the embellished platform shoes on this occasion.

‘Mudbound’ Screening: This Gucci Fall 2017 hot-pink satin trimmed dress, with the bow neckline, was right on par with Salma’s style. Yet I like how the sleek black dress kept the decorative embellishment from appearing overcooked, even when another pair of the pearl-studded platforms and a matching pink lip finished the look. It was just enough.

As far as I’m concerned, she was two for two here with these effortlessly chic ensembles, as Savannah saw her on top form.

Salma Hayek In The Vampire’s Wife – AMPAS Women In Film Lunch

Salma Hayek attended the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences Women In Film lunch held at Claridge’s Hotel today (October 6) in London.

The actress usually stays within the Kering family when it comes to her red carpet looks, but on this occasion she opted for a look from the independent label, The Vampire’s Wife.

I have always adored Salma in colour and in something flattering, so at first glance this tickets both boxes.

The length gives her some height, the necklace didn’t really work and the barely seen tassel accented bag is complementary in colour if nothing else.

This is a hit for me.

Front Row @ Gucci Spring 2018

As we might expect, the front row at the Gucci Spring 2018 show on Wednesday (September 20) during Milan Fashion Week was awash in a head-turning mix of bold prints and bright patterns from the label.

Dakota Johnson:
Starting the front row off with a bang, Dakota easily had one of my favoured looks in this colourful, pleated dress. I love the retro-forward, geometric print and the alluringly artsy mix of hues. The dragon-embroidered bag wouldn’t have been my first choice, though, for this look as it seemed so disparate from the mod mood.

Salma Hayek: Salma’s dress stood out for its prominent lack of pattern. But, it still charmed with the modern-Victorian lace detail and girlie bow at the waist that was very much in keeping with the star’s style.

Li Yuchun/Chris Lee: Never one to do fashion by halves, the entertainer presented a full-on fashion experience here. The cape may have been ‘Blind for Love,’ but I for one, don’t know where to look first between the Gucci signature print T-shirt, intricately patterned skirt, knee socks, and booties—not to mention the ear muffs. This was a performance piece, if nothing else.
