Often I find Salma Hayek frustratingly inconsistent on the red carpet, but she looked resplendent while attending the third annual LACMA Art + Film Gala held at LACMA in California yesterday evening, honouring filmmaker Martin Scorcese and artist David Hockney.
In what’s probably her best look of the year, the actress stunned wearing a Gucci Première beige halter gown with delicate pewter decorative embellishments styled with a silver sculptural waistband and a silver clutch.
There were many great looks at this event, but this one really made me say wow.
I hope she will continue to stay consistent in this glorious manner going forward.

Salma Hayek was also making the rounds at Paris Fashion Week, as she attended the Balenciaga Spring 2014 show yesterday at the Paris Observatory.
Pledging her allegiance to the Spanish fashion label, the actress put on a monochrome Balenciaga Resort 2014 ensemble that featured a black waist-cinching ribbon-belt detail.
The graphic, graffiti-inspired print, which was rather hectic, was further edged up with heavy, black McQ Alexander McQueen sandal booties.
Keeping the look both fun and fashion-forward, she wore black-and-white geek-chic Balenciaga sunnies with dazzling, circle pendant earrings.
Salma Hayek has had a busy 48 hours.
The actress was back out yesterday making a guest appearance on ‘Late Night with Jimmy Fallon’ to promote her latest movie, ‘Grown Ups 2′.
She wore a more laidback look on this occasion, selecting a plunging black top and black Stella McCartney trousers with a contrasting sporty white trim.
Even after a few colourful looks earlier in the day, it’s safe to say that black has been her go-to colour on this promo tour.
An ivory pendant necklace and black peep-toes completed her look.

This morning Salma Hayek was back out promoting her new movie ‘Grown Ups 2′ following the premiere yesterday evening in New York City.
She opted for two looks, which were considerably more season appropriate, for a guest appearance on ‘Good Morning America’.
She arrived wearing a Christopher Kane Resort 2013 yellow-white-and-black floral-printed silk dress with a pleated front panel, which was accented with an elasticated belt.
J’adore the summery hues and those sexy black thonged open-toe McQ Alexander McQueen booties.
Channelling an effortlessly elegant vibe, Salma changed into a Bottega Veneta Pre-Fall 2013 jumpsuit for her departure.
This ’70s-inspired slinky all-in-one with batwing sleeves and wide legs was styled with a tonal leather belt and striking statement jewels.
This is much more like it.
Both looks are fresh and relaxed, pretty and sophisticated. She’s really coming into her own fashion-wise lately, and finally coming close to living up to the First Lady of Fashion title some of you gave her when she became Mrs Hayek-Pinault.

It was a busy day for Salma Hayek as she promoted her latest movie ‘Grown Ups 2′ in New York City.
‘Katie’ Show: The Mexican beauty kick-started her day at the ‘Katie’ show, wearing a flirty black Balenciaga dress featuring a fitted bodice and flowing chiffon skirt styled with nude sandals.
‘Letterman’ Arrival: Later in the day she opted for a very summery Gucci printed frock with a plunging neckline, to which she added a cream cami and espadrille wedges.
‘Letterman’ Departure: I’m hot just looking at Salma in this crushed pleather belted Gucci dress styled with black ‘Casadei’ pumps with a Plexiglas heel. I couldn’t even comprehend wearing this type of dress on a summer’s day in a hot studio.
‘Grown Ups 2′ Premiere: For the premiere she spun her wavy tresses into a high bun, wearing her third black dress of the day, selecting a sexy piece from Saint Laurent which features silver embellishments and a cut-out detail at the waist which she styled with black Saint Laurent ‘Jane’ sandals.
While only the season-appropriate Gucci dress and the Saint Laurent dress – which was perfect for an evening premiere – pique my interest, I have to give credit to Salma for keeping the twins under control.
In the past she has had so many major issues with the twins either nearly spilling out of her dresses or having them pushed up to her collarbone that it’s almost been too painful to watch.

Salma Hayek, Frida Giannini and Beyonce Knowles, the founding committee for Chime For Change, a global campaign for girls’ and women’s empowerment, attended a photocall earlier today ahead of the ‘Chime For Change: The Sound of Change Live’ Concert at Twickenham Stadium in London.
Salma Hayek: The actress wore a petrol-blue leather Gucci V-neck belted dress with black studded Gucci platform sandals that added an edge to her sexy look.
Frida Giannini: Gucci’s creative director added some sparkle to the proceedings wearing an all-black Gucci Pre-Fall 2013 shimmering relax-fit suit.
Beyonce Knowles: The singer, who is headlining the event, was also in head-to-toe Gucci wearing a long sleeve gold-and-silver sequin dress paired with silver peep-toe ankle boots. I have never been a fan of Beyonce with this platinum shade of blonde, and the lip colour is way too dark for my liking.
