VOGUE HAS REQUESTED THE IMAGES BE REMOVED

Rihanna graces her third American Vogue cover, landing the coveted March issue which was photographed by David Sims.

Sporting a pixie cut, the singer wears a Louis Vuitton Spring 2014 beaded sheer top and embellished jeans on the cover, with the rest of her editorial seeing her wearing a selection of Spring 2014 looks from Saint Laurent, Givenchy, Alexander Wang, Rodarte, Alexander McQueen, Miu Miu, Versace, Maison Martin Margiela and Calvin Klein, for which she dons a white wig.

She talks to the mag about being famous, experimenting with men’s clothing, being rebellious, Instagram, her painful fashion choices and moving to New York.

You can read more, and see the rest of her editiorial over at Vogue.com.

On being famous: “I never wanted to be famous. I just wanted my music to be heard all over the world.”

On experimenting with men’s clothing: “When I was thirteen or fourteen, I didn’t want to wear what my mom wanted me to wear. I was very much a boy in my style, my demeanor. All my friends were guys. I loved things that boys did. I loved being easy with my clothes. I loved wearing hats and scarves and snapbacks on my head. It was my way of rebelling. I wanted to dress like my brother. After a while, it was just easier for Mom to dress us both the same. We wore the same jeans, the same T-shirts.”

On being rebellious: “I don’t go out of my way to be a rebel or to have that perception, but a lot of the decisions I make, a lot of the direction I want to move, is against the grain, or against society’s tight lane, and I’m aware of that sometimes. It might not be fitting with the norm, but that’s OK for me.”

On Instagram: “Instagram is my way of communicating to the world. When I’m on tour, I keep fans in the loop. I don’t really think about it too much. Literally, I can be sitting in a car and be bored, so I do a selfie just because I’m bored. Or if my dog is running around in circles and I think that’s funny, I put it on Instagram. I follow girls from the Middle East. It gives you ideas.”

On painful fashion choices: “It’s not about pain. It’s about the commitment. I say to myself, ‘I want to look like this,’ and worry about the pain later. I’ve had nights I had to tiptoe home and the balls of my feet wouldn’t even allow me to stand.”

On moving to New York full time: “I’ve downsized. I want a smaller closet. I want simpler. I want to just take it back to what’s important.”

Rihanna In Vintage Moschino - Giorgio Baldi Restaurant

Rihanna was spotted leaving Giorgio Baldi restaurant after having dinner with her friend Melissa in Santa Monica, California on Sunday (February 16).

Sporting a new banging bob, the singer donned a black ultra short romper with a dramatic 80s vintage Moschino coat purchased from vintage emporium Shrimpton Couture.

The velvet mixed coat featuring faux leopard print, panels of brocade and a panel of bead work may be a tad over the top for some, but I love this coat and would also wear it in a heartbeat.

Both the colors and the bold design instantly attract me to this piece.

Opting for a bold black cherry lip, she styled her look with thick gold Balmain cuffs, and metallic gold Louboutin ‘So Kate’ pumps.

Rihanna In Acne Studios - LAX

Rihanna didn’t look to be in the mood to be messed with as she departed LAX on Friday (January 31) having arrived from New York City.

Looking like she’d just stepped off the set of a rap music video, everything the singer wore was oversized, from her Acne navy ‘Major’ leather jacket with exaggerated wide black velvet collar and trims, to her low-rise striped turn-up Marni boyfriend jeans in a dark wash and her black hoodie with a not-so-subtle FU graphic.

Her accessories included a black Givenchy ‘Antigona’ bag, Chanel sunglasses, Timberland ‘Earthkeepers’ boots and a white beanie.

Once again she carried her pink Miu Miu clutch to add a feminine touch to her look.

Rihanna In Chanel - Good Morning America

Before attending the launch of MAC Cosmetics’ Viva Glam Rihanna yesterday evening, the singer made a guest appearance on ‘Good Morning America’ to promote her collaboration with the cosmetics brand.

Rihanna worked an uptown-ladies-who-lunch look consisting of a chic Chanel coral boucle skirt suit worn with an Adam Selman white bodysuit.

I would’ve expected a twist or some edge, but the chic showing continued to her taupe Manolo Blahnik ankle-strap pumps and selection of jewels with only her new hand tattoo hinting at bad girl RiRi.

Are you surprised by this look from Rihanna?

Rihanna In Lanvin - MAC Cosmetics Launches Viva Glam Rihanna

Rihanna dazzled at the MAC Cosmetics Launch of Viva Glam Rihanna at the MAC Store SoHo on Wednesday (January 29) in New York City.

The songstress showed off her new collaboration with the brand in a head-to-toe Lanvin look from the Spring 2014 collection that was high on metal and shine—and, well, glam.

She paired a light-pink metallic, taffeta lamé blazer with a silver ‘DREAM’ liquid lamé T-shirt, all powered up by a royal blue silk skirt with a flounced hem.

Rihanna accessorized with more luster via a gold lamé printed scarf and patent pointy pumps.

Naturally, her makeup was a focal point here and it still managed to stand out amid all that glitz. A sultry, lavender-tinged smokey eye and an intensely red pout punctuated her look, which was topped off by hyper-sleek, straight locks.

Rihanna In Moschino - Jay-Z's Pre Grammy Party

Following Clive Davis’ pre-Grammy gala, Rihanna was spotted headed to 1 Oak club in LA on Saturday (January 25) for Jay-Z’s pre-Grammy bash.

Wearing a look a lot less provocative than the Alexandre Vauthier Couture gown to wore to the Grammys event, she chose a Moschino Pre-Fall 2014 oversized letterman jacket which comes from Jeremy Scott’s inaugural collection for Moschino.

Donning her favourite Citizens of Humanity ‘Avedon’ jeans, the rest of her look was styled with Converse ‘Chuck Taylor’ high-top sneakers, a very out-of-place pale-pink Miu Miu matelassé clutch and a selection of gold jewels from Jacquie Aiche and Mason Stanley.

Are you as baffled by the clutch as I am?

We should expect to see everyone from Miley Cyrus to Rita Ora and Katy Perry snapping up this Moschino collection.
