Jessica Chastain In Ralph Lauren – MoMA’s Contenders Screening of ‘Molly’s Game’

As Jessica Chastain continues to promote ‘Molly’s Game,’ she attended MoMA’s Contenders screening of the film on Friday (November 17) in New York City.

The actress wears rich, jewel tones and classic glamour so well, but I liked seeing her step outside that form with this graphite Ralph Lauren Fall 2017 jumpsuit.

Her flame locks breathed a fiery, feminine radiance into the industrial-chic look, with her tall heels likewise adding a hint of that glamour we know and love.

Naomie Harris raises Swarovski star on The Rockefeller Center Christmas tree in Emilia Wickstead

Naomie Harris was a beauty in blue as she raised the Swarovski star on the Rockefeller Center Christmas tree on Thursday (November 16) in New York City.

I adore the way the actress went for something completely unexpected as opposed to the usual holiday red and green. Her Emilia Wickstead Resort 2018 vivid aqua dress was joyful and not at all cliché.

The ‘James Bond’ star isn’t afraid of colour on the red carpet, but this is a bold shade we haven’t seen her in. After this, I’m hoping to see more of it.

Atelier Swarovski fine jewelry lent a festive air to the ensemble while popping against the invigorating frock.

Lily Collins In Ralph & Russo – 2017 GO Campaign Gala

Lily Collins is someone I’m intrigued with as she isn’t afraid to play with new styles or fashion-forward looks. At the 2017 GO Campaign Gala on Saturday (November 18) in Hollywood, California she channeled spring romance.

The actress donned a Ralph & Russo Spring 2018 dress. It had an undeniable sweetness courtesy of the pleated mini skirt and gathered asymmetrical neckline.

However, it was trendy rather than twee thanks to the white belt and the injection of bright yellow in the watercolour floral print.

Silver ankle-strap sandals allowed the flirty dress to be fully appreciated.

Jennifer Garner In Johanna Ortiz – ‘The Tribes Of Palos Verdes’ LA Premiere

Jennifer Garner typically favors classic, feminine gowns with a fitted waist and gently flared skirt. Her ensemble at ‘The Tribes Of Palos Verdes’ LA premiere on Friday (November 17) in Los Angeles, California had many of those elements but it still captivated me.

The rich oxblood velvet of her Johanna Ortiz Fall 2017 dress had a sophisticated sensuality. This mood was enhanced by the asymmetrical sweetheart bodice.

The ruffled sleeve on the runway version would have made a romantic statement, but I get why she removed it as she normally favors cleaner silhouettes.

The blue-green sandals played up the sumptuous texture of the dress while adding a retro feel. Although, I must say I would have preferred a shoe without a platform.

How do you feel about the modified version of the frock?

Sarah Gadon In Giambattista Valli – Cinema Italian Style ’17 Opening Night Gala Premiere

Sarah Gadon stepped out at the Cinema Italian Style ’17 Opening Night Gala premiere on Thursday (November 16) in Hollywood, California

The Canadian actress was in a Giambattista Valli Fall 2017 dress which despite its short length, had an ethereal quality.

The sheer sleeves and ab cut-out provided relief to the opaque wrapped neckline and solid skirt.

I can see the ruffled sleeves being a divisive detail, but I found they were in keeping with the frock’s whimsical feel and they didn’t distract from other elements.

A Tyler Ellis clutch and ivory sandals complemented the dress’s opal colour splendidly.

Hailee Steinfeld In Barbara Bui – Variety’s 1st Annual Hitmakers Luncheon

Prior to her head-turning appearance at the 2017 American Music Awards, Hailee Steinfeld attended Variety’s 1st Annual Hitmakers Luncheon on Saturday (November 18) in Los Angeles, California.

Her Barbara Bui Spring 2018 mini dress has a fun sweetness. The asymmetrical ruffles and the black fabric prevented the outfit from becoming twee. Instead, they helped it give it an edginess.

There is still a lot to look at in the singer’s frock, but I find myself missing the belt from the runway. A contrasting buckle of any sort would have helped elevate the ensemble.

Did you miss the belt?
