Rita Ora In Chanel – 2015 British Fashion Awards

Rita Ora In Chanel - 2015 British Fashion Awards

Rita Ora attended the 2015 British Fashion Awards on Monday (November 23) in London, England.

The singer wore a Chanel Pre-Fall 2014 black velvet and gold trim dress, which by her standards was quite demure.

My issue with the look is that I don’t find it particularly flattering, like most of her Chanel red carpet looks, plus it ages her quite drastically.

If the choice was wear this unflattering dress or not having the option to wear Chanel at all, I would’ve taken the latter.

Cheryl Fernandez Versini attended the 2015 British Fashion Awards on Monday (November 23) in London, England.

Keeping the sheer dress trend alive-and-kicking, yet not wearing a piece which directs us to her lady parts, the X Factor judge wore a custom dress by British retailer Topshop.

Blooming all over with delicate embroidered sequin flowers, her statement dress was upstaged by those gorgeous Sergio Rossi embroidered over-the-knee boots.

‘The Danish Girl’ LA Premiere

'The Danish Girl' LA Premiere

A trio of girls took to the red carpet for ‘The Danish Girl’ premiere at Westwood Village Theatre on Saturday (November 21) in Westwood, California.

Alicia Vikander: Naturally, the actress was dressed in a Louis Vuitton ensemble, this one hailing from the Spring 2016 collection. Despite the more serious, gray-toned hues, there was a sense of light boho romance in this embroidered peasant dress, which she wore with Ana Khouri jewels. It may not be the first type of dress you think of when it comes to a premiere, but it was lovely for its effortlessness.

Amber Heard: Exploring the sultry side of androgyny, Amber donned a floral-embossed Dolce & Gabbana black suit with Jimmy Choo ‘Anouk’ pumps, balancing feminine and masculine intrigue.

Holland Roden: Also going the route of the trouser, Holland added the boldness of an eye-catching pattern in this graphically inspired Edeline Lee Fall 2014 ensemble. The minidress top worn over the pants added a girly, fun spirit to the mod mix, which she finished with a sleek ponytail.

2015 American Music Awards Red Carpet Roundup

A constellation of other stars were also at the 2015 American Music Awards, held at Microsoft Theater on Sunday (November 22) in Los Angeles, California.

Carrie Underwood: The winner of Favorite Country Female Artist, Carrie brought the familiar sparkle out to play in a glittery Yas Couture confection styled with complementary Greymer sandals. The short mini dress had the sexy sass appeal while the long cape addition brought the drama of a full gown.

Gigi Hadid: Sweeping across the red carpet in a Bao Tranchi ‘Ethereal Choker’ dress, the model flaunted her assets in this two-piece, slit-to-there design. Tamara Mellon ‘Frontline’ sandals and a Giuseppe Zanotti clutch completed the not-so-innocent look.

Menswear Red Carpet Roundup

Menswear Red Carpet Roundup

Here is a roundup of menswear looks which caught my eye on the red carpet from this weekend.

Nick Jonas: The singer wore two shades of grey donning a Topman wool suit styled with a turtleneck. Its an interesting look, but appears to be quite a warm for the AMAs.

Eddie Redmayne: It has been a while since we last saw a man in plaid on the red carpet, so welcome back Eddie Redmayne. The British actor wore a Gucci navy and burgundy plaid suit with a blue knit tie complementing his blue suede shoes for ‘The Danish Girl’ LA premiere. Good to see he hasn’t lost his sartorial style and exceptional presentational skills.

Harry Styles: Of all the One Direction lads, I was instantly drawn to Harry Styles. As you know, I love it when guys opt for interesting looks, and this Gucci Spring 2016 suit certainly fits in that category. My issue is the cut of the suit feels rather feminine so in this case it didn’t work for him, for me.
