Valentino Fall 2013 Couture Front Row

The front row of the Valentino Fall 2013 Couture presentation was nearly as drama-doused as the runway, as an array of lovelies let loose their fashion fantasies at the Hotel Salomon de Rothschild on Wednesday in Paris, France.

Olivia Palermo: Mingling hard and soft, Olivia is perhaps one of the few who can work a fluffy, frothy black tube frock, worn over a structured white button-down blouse, to her ultimate advantage. Never far from piles of accessories, she topped off her statement with a bronze and black gemstone necklace, statement cuffs, and a Valentino studded carved transparent clutch.

Zhang Ziyi: Giving us a red-haute moment, the Chinese actress stunned in a Valentino Spring 2013 Couture cape gown, worn with Christian Louboutin heels, Boucheron jewels and an Omega timepiece. The sophisticated, old-Hollywood spirit of this silhouette had me at hello.

Miroslava Duma: Many of you will be glad to see that Mira wore Valentino at the designer’s show, taking a bold step in this lapis-blue Valentino Fall 2013 frock. While her black tights and chunky-funky platform sandals could have raised some eyebrows, they really only served to draw even more attention to this retro-shift dress’s sublime saturated hue—and her red lippie.

Christian Dior Fall 2013 Couture Front Row

Several stars arrived at the Hotel Des Invalides in Paris, France this afternoon for the Christian Dior Fall 2013 Couture presentation, with Marion Cotillard as the surprise absentee.

Jennifer Lawrence: The Oscar-winning actress and current face of Miss Dior was of course front row, getting a first look at her next red carpet look, no doubt. Jennifer selected a printed pastel-metallic guipure top with charcoal wool trousers with a stripe down one side and pleats down the other from the Resort 2014 collection. Black Dior sunglasses, shoes and a Dior fine jewelry ‘Bois de Rose’ bracelet. You are expecting me to say that I dislike the black pumps; well, I am too busy saving all my dislike for those pants. The colour, the style, the pleats: nothing about them work for me.

Miroslava Duma: After a pretty lacklustre weekend fashion-wise, Miroslava finally gives me a red carpet look I can love. The fashion editor selected a Dior Resort 2014 ivory bustier dress with blue-, orange- and pink-striped panels, which she styled with an Hermes black bag and lust-worthy blue pumps.

Olivia Palermo: The socialite, who is a regular in the front row at Dior, wore a full Dior look. Usually she marches to the beat of her own drum and will wear even high-street looks like Zara and Topshop to Fashion week; on this occasion she wore a Dior white jacket paired with a pink-and-blue organza skirt with all-Dior accessories, including cuffs on both wrists, an embellished belt, and a white clutch. I love everything bar the skirt. I almost wish the jacket was long enough to pass off as a dress.

Who Wore Louis Vuitton Better Lea Seydoux or Olivia Palermo

Back in October last year, French actress Lea Seydoux attended the London Film Festival premiere for ‘Sister’ wearing a Louis Vuitton Resort 2013 beautifully detailed white and cream dress. Her ode to the 60′s dress was styled with bright-pink pumps, a matching lip colour, and a gold metallic clutch.

Last month, Olivia Palermo was captured in the same dress while attending the Louis Vuitton Maison opening in Munich, Germany.

She frequently mixes high-end brands with high street, so I was not surprised to see her frock styled with Zara heels.

Pink was such an unexpected choice when it came to styling this frock; however, I love the more complement tan hue of Olivia’s Zara sandals.

Olivia Palermo-Velázquez pieces

Olivia Palermo appears in the ad campaign for Carrera y Carrera for the third year in a row.

The socialite, who is the muse for the prestigious jewelry firm, wore jewels inspired by the splendour of the Spanish Empire for Carrera y Carrera’s ‘Tesoros del Imperio’ collection, so it’s no wonder she looks so regal in the campaign.

Olivia shared, “I think this collection from Carrera y Carrera is absolutely beautiful. I found out what the inspiration was a year ago, and now that I see the final product, I’m very pleased… Both the rings and the earrings this season are very wearable.”

I’m sure we will see Olivia wearing these exquisite pieces accessorizing alongside her favoured feathered clutches on a red carpet soon.

See by Chloé Resort 2014 Presentation

The Resort 2014 presentations are turning into a red carpet affair; this time we had See by Chloe showcasing their wares at Industria Studios in New York City on Wednesday evening, which also doubled up as the launch of the brand’s new fragrance.

Anna Kendrick: The actress sported a new honey-coloured ‘do and looked a bit more lively for this event, wearing a simple white tank with a layered chiffon skirt styled with Chloe wedges – which have become a favourite with Victoria Beckham – and a blush-coloured Chloe ‘Sally’ clutch with gold trims. Is her new hair colour washing her out?

Nichole Galicia: The ‘Django Unchained’ actress wore a simple navy See by Chloe dress, which was accessorized with Chloe pieces including an ivory belt, two-tone Chloe ‘Grove’ wedges and a small Chloe ‘Alice’ bag in a salmon-and-tan colourway, which continues to be a big hit with celebrities.

Olivia Palermo: The socialite is getting a good wear out of her Rebecca Minkoff jacket, which we saw her wearing earlier this week. She styled her can’t-live-without blazer with a pale-yellow top and printed skirt, accessorizing with Christian Louboutin ‘Zigouwi’ sandals and a Chloe ‘Alice’ bag in a Fall-like berry hue.

Here we have three very different looks; which best suits your style?

Mine is a mix of Olivia and Nichole.
