Red Carpet Fashion Awards

The NSPCC Pop Art Ball took place at The Banqueting House in London yesterday.

Stella McCartney continues to wow celebrities with her designs, as many of them were decked out in her threads at the event.

Naomi Watts: As a long-time Stella McCartney devotee, Naomi was of course at this event. She wore a bespoke Stella McCartney nude one-rather-large-sleeve dress with black embroidery details sweeping from left to right. The Australian actress added summery Stella McCartney accessories including Stella McCartney ‘Pebble Astor’ sandals and a shell-coloured ‘Falabella’ clutch. I love the neutral makeup. It’s so refreshing and works well with this look.

Stella McCartney: The designer who everyone wants to be BFFs with wore an adventurous look from her Evening 2012 collection. The red marble-print ‘Barton’ dress puffs out giving the look a cocoon shape. A brass lattice oval clutch, black strappy sandals, from her collection of course, and her trademark tight bun completed her look.

Rashida Jones: The ‘Parks and Recreation’ actress opted for a cutesy Stella McCartney Pre-Fall 2012 look. Her black brocade strapless dress with a velvet bow would feel heavy if it was longer, but the length and those gorgeous nude ” target=”_blank”>Stella McCartney faux leather sandals help lighten up the look somewhat. A bold pink lip colour and a Stella McCartney ‘Lexie’ clutch completed her look.

Naomi Watts appears to be having an experimental phase during Cannes Film Festival and I have to say I like it.

She attended the AstaLift party wearing a Roberto Cavalli Spring 2012 look.

Known for her no-fuss, minimalist approach to fashion which usually stays loyal to Stella McCartney, this is quite a departure for the Australian actress.

The look features a drop-waist floral print and lace-accented dress with black sequin embellishments.

She opted to layer the dress with a Roberto Cavalli black collarless blazer with a gold-beaded trim.

In changing out of her Marchesa gown, she should’ve also taken off the Chopard necklace which also doesn’t work with this look either.

A black crystallized clutch and gold ankle-strap sandals provided the finishing touches.

Naomi Watts joined Salma Hayek at the Gucci and Vanity Fair dinner party to celebrate the world restoration premiere of Sergio Leone’s ‘Once Upon a Time in America’ during Cannes Film Festival yesterday evening.

She also wore a one of a kind Gucci dress.

Her sleeveless cocktail dress had a pale grey iridescent paillette top and a pale grey-to-lilac degrade ostrich feathered skirt which was accented with an iridescent Swarovski crystal embroidered low-waisted belt.

Naomi’s 20’s-inspired dress was styled with diamond Chopard jewels, Gucci champagne satin evening clutch and matching champagne satin peep toe high heeled evening sandals.

It’s nice to see Naomi wear something with a bit of sass, but I’m not too crazy about Naomi’s hairstyle.

Naomi Watts was radiant on the red carpet for the ‘Madagascar 3: Europe’s Most Wanted’ premiere during the 2012 Cannes Film Festival at the Palais des Festivals this evening.

She opted to wear a beautiful Marchesa Fall 2012 gown.

Many of you objected to the over-the-top frou frouness of Eva Longoria’s opening night Marchesa gown, so how does this nude feather-embroidered illusion dress with cascade skirt fair in your eyes?

As someone said earlier, Naomi gets better with every red carpet appearance. Consider this case in point.

Marcel waves with feather accents, a silver embellished clutch and a Chopard white diamond collar necklace completed her look.

Calvin Klein celebrated Women In Film during the 2012 Cannes Film Festival yesterday evening, inviting a host of beautiful stars.

Jessica Chastain: I had to peel myself off the floor when I saw Jessica carrying a clutch. Is this a first? I think so. The Oscar-nominated star, who has gone hands-free since bursting onto the scene last year, carried a clutch – yes a clutch – with her Calvin Klein long-sleeve coral mini dress – a Kodak moment if I ever saw one. Like Diane she wore white heels, but unlike Diane, her Elie Saab heels do not get a pass.

Naomi Watts: The Australian actress wore one of Calvin Klein’s signature nude slip dresses with a plunging neckline. She oozed sophistication in her naked dress which she teamed with a chain-accented clutch. She was my favourite at this event.

Shailene Woodley: On a busy night for the star, she also attended this event wearing a peachy Calvin Klein dress with suede sandals. She completed her look with a half-up, half-down hairstyle.

Lara Stone: I have always wondered what is so fascinating about Lara Stone, but on inspection of this horrid silver Calvin Klein dress which is creased to high heaven, today is not the day I will find out.

Hayley Atwell: From the bangs, which are too long, to the lip colour, which is too dark, to the dress, which is meh at best, to the Sergio Rossi heels, which don’t work with her look, this is a disaster from head-to-toe for Hayley Atwell. This whole look needed a rethink before heading out the door.

Jada Pinkett Smith: I think it is safe to say that Jada wasn’t wearing a Calvin Klein dress. The actress donned a petrol-blue Paco Rabanne Spring 2012 dress with bold shoulders and a plunge which grazed her naval. I bet the minimalist police were going crazy at this event when she walked in.

Naomi Watts was in London last night attending the launch party for the new wine range ‘Jacob’s Creek: Cool Harvest’ at The Orangery.

The actress wore a Stella McCartney Pre-Fall 2012 dress.

Her forest-green part-velvet part-stretch jersey dress is instantly recognisable because of Stella’s infamous hourglass silhouette, which has worked wonders for Kate Winslet and Liv Tyler.

Nude illusion panels on the side make Naomi’s tiny waist that much more streamlined.

A gold cuff, black embellished sandals and side-swept blonde locks completed her look.

Despite seeing another winter colour on the red carpet this summer, I’m totally seduced by that rich hue.
