Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Our best dressed of the week winner, Naomi Watts, was looking gorgeous as she glided down the red carpet at the ArcLight Cinerama Dome in Hollywood, California last night joining her co-star Ewan McGregor.

Dressed in a Zac Posen Resort 2013 open-back gown, she evoked an Old Hollywood look by styling her petal-print gown with a retro ‘do.

J/Hadley green-and-pink sapphire earrings and a Jennifer Meyer ring were the perfect finishing touches to her glamorous red carpet look.

Does this look have BDOTW potential? Or has this week been too strong already for this to feature?

Naomi Watts attended the ‘Silver Linings Playbook’ event held at the Chateau Marmont on Friday in California.

Clad in a cleanly-designed Stella McCartney Spring 2013 frock, Naomi looks both high fashion and decidedly relaxed at the event.

Barely-there Valentino heels, a Joan Hornig brass cuff and a shimmering Jennifer Fisher necklace complete this breezy ensemble.

The casual pockets and unexpected slit – coupled with the sage tone and heavier fabric – give this dress a pleasant 90s air.

It’s as if Naomi and Stella have taken the best features of the trends favoured by classic 90s teen idols and effectively updated them for the modern era.

It’s a nostalgic feel that’s still fresh.

Is it just us, or does Naomi’s buttery-blonde hair totally remind you of the ‘Rachel’?

Despite having a strong disagreement about one look during the week, we both decided on one winner for BDOTW – Naomi Watts.

Her Roland Mouret look incorporated all my favourite things: an electric-blue hue, a body skimming fit and a mermaid hem. What’s not to love?

When it came to menswear, our tastes differed.

Eddie Redmayne took a strong lead for his forest-green Burberry Prorsum velvet suit, which was both suave and festive.

I opted for John Krasinski’s Calvin Klein sleek grey suit with black lapels. Had the suit not had the black lapels, I’m not sure the look would’ve won me over.

Back in April, Victoria Beckham wore a dress from her Fall 2012 collection to the unveiling of the special edition of the Range Rover Evoque model in Beijing, China.

The dove-grey dress with maroon collar and cuffs was styled with a double-looped leather belt and those Tom Ford open-toe boots she then went on to wear several times.

Naomi Watts wore the same dress for the 2012 Take Home a Nude Benefit Art Auction at Sotheby’s in New York City back in October.

She opted to wear the look sans belt, adding nude Christian Louboutin ankle boots and a Valentino ‘Rockstud Lock’ shoulder bag.

This was a tough one, as I didn’t like either of their shoes.

In the end I went with Victoria, as I love the belt with the look and no one wears a VB dress better than the woman herself.

Naomi Watts and Liev Schreiber posed for photographers on the red carpet for the 35th Kennedy Center Honors, held at the Kennedy Center Hall of States in Washington, D.C. yesterday evening.

While they make a truly handsome couple, all eyes were on Naomi in her electric-blue Roland Mouret gown.

Her striking gown, which fits like a glove, features the origami and fold details which are Roland Mouret’s signatures.

I love the structured and the fit which skims her toned figure before fanning out into a fishtail skirt.

As you know this is my favourite colour, so was hyperventilating when I saw this look.

A wavy updo, Monique Péan earrings and a black clutch provided the finishing touches.
