Dita von Teese – as we expect – looked spectacular wearing a long draped flesh silk chiffon Christian Lacroix Fall 2008 Couture gown with a pink ombre train, a matching clutch and a copper bow.

The gown has been modified for the better from the runway version.

Lucy Liu is one of my Top 10 Best Dressed actresses on the red carpet. She looks outstanding wearing this white Giambattista Valli Fall 2008 sheath dress, with a woollen cape.

She completed her look with beige Jimmy Choo platform heels, and a taupe clutch.

If this dress looks a little familiar to you, that’s because Victoria Beckham wore something similar by the same designer last year.

I’m so loving seeing Elie Saab on the red carpet so often lately, and I hope we get to see more tomorrow.

Marcia Cross arrived at this event looking sensational wearing a lilac Elie Saab Spring 2009 Couture gown, which sparkled with many embellishments. The gown had cap sleeves and a gorgeous floral detail on the empire waist.

She completed her look with a complementary silver Daniel Swarovski clutch.

Christina Ricci LBD from the Monique Lhuillier Fall 2009 collection had a asymmetrical ruffled detailing, which did not over power her, nor the dress.

Her look was complete with tan Christian Louboutin pumps, and black satin clutch.

Her blunt bangs and red lips just perfect this look for me.

I’m so surprised Emily Blunt picked this dress, because I don’t think it flatters her at all.

My main problem is the pleated bodice and the jeweled detail on the waist.

Eva Longoria always wears bright vivid colours, so this chocolate brown Reem Acra dress is a surprise.

I hope to see a return to bright colours soon.

Like I said last time, Sienna Miller has lost her appeal. Nothing feels fresh or new with her anymore.

Starting with that hairstyle. Haven’t we seen that look a million times before?

I really dislike the colour, and the material of her Ungaro gown also.

Carice Van Houten wore a black and white graphic print Jay Godfrey halter-neck maxi dress.

I’m not quite sure what has happened to Reese Witherspoon.

After her split with Ryan Philippe she wowed us time after time on the red carpet. Lately I always feel so underwhelmed by her choices.

This Dior LBD is cute enough, but she just lacked pizazz.

Lily Collins teal column gown, had a embellished detail on the empire waist, but it failed to impress me.

We have seen the delicious pictures of Lucy Liu wearing a black Hervé Léger at the front row of the Max Azri’s Hervé Léger Fall 2009 collection, but she arrived wearing a gorgeous caramel Martin Grant Fall 2008 off-the-shoulder woollen coat.

Last year I remember trying this coat on in Selfridges, but I just could not get the off-the-shoulder part of the coat to work for me.

Unlike me, Lucy does not make heavy work of this coat, in fact she looks very chic, as she folds one side of the coats collar, to give it another dimension.

Kate Bosworth was the first to wear this black 3.1 Phillip Lim Spring 2009 dress, which has a zipper trim on the ruffles.

She wore this dress at the Global Green benefit last year, with black pointy pumps.

Lucy Liu wore the same dress on Sunday, when she attended the birthday party of stylist Patricia Field.

Lucy dress – which she wore with tights, and YSL Tribute sandals – had sheer sleeves like the runway version, but Kate’s was satin through-out.

Despite Lucy’s shoes and tights – which I am so over on the red carpet – I really think this dress suits Kate’s style better.

You can purchase this dress for $895 from NeimanMarcus.com.

At the Hervé Léger by Max Azria Fall 2009, I witness models falling on the runway. As funny as it may appear, it really is an uncomfortable experience. The whole of the Promenade took a sharp intake of breathe, as the models fell, then got up and continued to walk the runway.

You would think that bandage dresses don’t have anywhere else to go, but Max Azria had many ideas.

Most of the bandage dresses were updated with square shoulders, which gave them an 80s feel, and made me think of the Balmain Spring 2009 collection.

The rosette details of the previous Fall collection, were replace with leather and metallic panel detailing.

The plunging dress was the style most used, but there were also halters, criss cross halters, square neck and one-shouldered dresses.

My favourites were the black eyelash fringed dress, purely because of the way it shimmered down the runway, and the silver embellished dress with the square shoulders.

It was way too far away from the celebs to see them up close, as the place was packed, but Lucy Liu was very much in the spotlight. The camera crews went crazy for the A list star, which is not surprising as she looked hot in a black Herve Leger bandage dress.

Sophia Bush, The Queen of Fall 2008 Fashion Week was absent from the Spring 2009 shows, so I was happy to see her in what was her second show of the week.

She looked gorgeous wearing a striped grey Herve Leger dress.

Michelle Trachtenberg carried a big large red clutch, with her grey tie-dyed Herve Leger dress.

January Jones opted for a nice brightly coloured Hervé Léger by Max Azria Spring 2009 mini dress, with a black leather jacket.

Jessica Stroup opted for a lime green Herve Leger dress, with a keyhole detail.

Lily Collins wore a coral and black striped Hervé Léger by Max Azria Spring 2009 dress.

Of course Joy Bryant was there wearing a black Herve Leger dress.

For the first time ever, we have a 3 way tie in the Readers Choice vote.

It seems you guys just could not decide between Selena Gomez in Matthew Williamson, Eva Mendes in Bill Blass and Lucy Liu in J. Mendel.

To be honest I was undecided for a while between the ray of sunshine that was Eva Mendes, or the vision of pure loveliness that was Lucy Liu. But I stayed faithful to one of my many girl crushes and picked Lucy.

She dazzled in her gown, and her Roger Vivier clutch was simply divine.

Congrats to all 3 ladies for wearing bursts of colour to brighten up the red carpet. All that black in last week poll was so dull.

I think Selena would have won this Readers Choice vote, had she worn the black runway belt.

I know many of you think that Jessica Alba is a dead cert for Best Dressed this week, but the divine Lucy Liu has made things a lot more interesting.

The actress arrived at the 2008 UNICEF Snowflake Ball in New York last night looking absolutely outstanding wearing a royal blue J. Mendel Spring 2009 gown.

This silk chiffon gown has a corseted bodice, a long flowing skirt, and has an embellished belt and straps.

What I particularly loved was her Roger Vivier Pluton clutch, as it was silver, with a floral feathered burst of royal blue, and fuchsia pink.

I love that she stands out amongst all that blue in the background. You would think that blue on the blue carpet would not work, but it works here.

I am in actual shock that Jessica Biel thought that this two-tone Emanuel Ungaro Fall 2006 dress was a good idea.

The yellow/taupe colour combinations are interesting, but the bodice is too busy and looks unfinished with the knot and asymmetric detail.

Although boring Biel tried to spice things up, it just does not work for me.

Kate Beckinsale wore a satin YSL dress with a gold lining, which very much looked like a robe.

She wore her dress with black patent belt which also had a gold lining and black platform sandals.

Leelee Sobieski wore maxi kimono dress, which was printed with light pastel stripes and circles.

She carried a yellow clutch, which complimented the stripes on her dress and her necklace.

Salma Hayek shows off her asset in this plunge-neck electric blue Gucci gown. Unfortunately it is really creased, and looks like it could do with a iron going over it.

Lucy Liu continues to set the red carpet on fire with another stunning dress.

Her LBD really shines in the light, and the exaggerated hips gives her a nice silhouette.

Eliza Dushku sure does grab your attention in this split to the thigh Dolce & Gabbana gown.

That poor man looks like he is about to keel over.

Selena Gomez wore an ivory ruffled top with a black pencil skirt and black pumps.

I love the look, but the bangs aren’t cut correctly, as the left side appears longer than the right side.

Taylor Swift wore a similar look to Selena, but her dress is a Trina Turk Astra dress with a satin dress, a split V neck and jeweled banding at waist.

She completes her look with black peep-toes.

Rachael Leigh Cook keeps it simple in a LBD, but it is her pink butterfly adorned bag that really stands out.

Molly Sims jeweled brooch really made her two-toned grey black halter Alberta Ferretti gown more interesting.
