Lily Collins In Houghton – ‘The Mortal Instruments: City Of Bones’ Madrid Premiere

Lily Collins In Houghton – ‘The Mortal Instruments City Of Bones’ Madrid Premiere

After feeling a tad disappointed by Lily Collins’ photocall look, she brought back the wow factor for ‘The Mortal Instruments: City Of Bones’ Madrid premiere held at Callao Cinema in Spain yesterday evening.

Houghton is swiftly becoming the go-to designer for starlets such as Lily, Lucy Hale and Selena Gomez.

On this occasion the designer, Katharine Polk, created this vibrant red sleeveless Chantilly-lace top, bralet and skirt with a high-low hem especially for the girl of the moment.

Her ensemble was modern but she gave the look an old Hollywood feel, sporting retro waves complete with a fire-engine-red pout.

Platform pumps have been her shoe of choice during this promo tour; however, she selected a pair of hot-red Christian Louboutin ‘Batignolles’ pumps sans platform on this occasion.

A striking Jacob & Co. diamond ring completed her look.

If you would put one of Lily’s looks up for BDOTW which would it be?

Lily Collins In Dolce & Gabbana – ‘The Mortal Instruments: City Of Bones’ Madrid Photocall

The next stop for Lily Collins was Spain, where she attended the photocall for ‘The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones’ held at the Villamagna Hotel in Madrid earlier today.

The actress has had an amazing run on this promo tour, however, I have to say this Dolce & Gabbana dark floral dress with lace accents, a velvet neckline and waistband is my least favourite so far.

I think the look ages her quite drastically and I find the colours too sombre for such a PYT.

Black Brian Atwood platform satin pumps and a selection of gold rings styled her look with wavy locks and glossy lips providing the finishing touches.

Is this a refreshing change from all those crop tops, or do you find this aging?

Lily Collins In Paper London and Halston Heritage – ‘The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones’ Berlin Premiere

Lily Collins In Paper London and Halston Heritage - 'The Mortal Instruments City of Bones' Berlin Premiere

Having arrived in Germany earlier in the day, Lily Collins made yet another dramatic entrance onto the red carpet for ‘The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones’ Berlin premiere, held at the Sony Center in Berlin, Germany yesterday evening.

For those tired of the crop top trend look away now, as the beautiful starlet continued her abs-baring run on this occasion wearing a Paper London black sleeveless crop top with a Halston Heritage Resort 2014 full-length dramatic skirt.

Looking both modern and elegant, she gave her look an edge with a chunky gold Pluma Italia necklace and a Movado gold coiled cuff watch.

A low bun accented with a sweet feminine bow, plus a dark manicure and smouldering smoky eyes completed her gorgeous look, which breaks the ivory dress run we’ve seen for the last two premieres.

You may remember that Julianne Hough wore this same skirt in a vibrant orange hue last week to the InStyle Summer Soiree.

Lily Collins In Whistles – The Ivy

Lily Collins In Whistles - The Ivy

Lily Collins was spotted arriving at The Ivy in London yesterday evening following her ‘Meet The Actors’ event at the Regent Street Apple Store.

The young actress confidently works summer’s crop top trend once again; this is actually her fourth crop top in a month, following her Comic-Con appearance, Chicago Mall meet and greet, and most recently the Flaunt magazine party.

On all those occasions she wore a skirt; here she dons leather pants.

The dark-green-hued carrot-leg trousers from British retailer Whistles add a chic touch to her laidback top for the perfect after-dark look.

Giuseppe Zanotti black satin pumps and a gold Giuseppe Zanotti clutch accessorized her look while beauty-wise she worked a hot-red lip and simple updo.

How have you been working the crop top trend this season?

Lily Collins In Stella McCartney – ITV Studios

Lily Collins In Stella McCartney - ITV Studios

Lily Collins was spotted leaving ITV studios in London this morning following her guest appearance on Day Break to promote her latest film, ‘The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones’.

Looking absolutely divine, the actress kept it simple wearing a Stella McCartney Resort 2013 layered dress with dolman sleeves and a satin bustle at the rear.

Aside from her flawless makeup and retro half-up, half-down hairstyle, what I love most about this look are the fun animal-print Brian Atwood ‘India’ pumps she added to this look.

You won’t be surprised to learn that Stella McCartney has the most worn Resort 2014 collection of them all.

Later this evening Lily will join her co-stars Jamie Campbell Bower and Robert Sheehan at the Apple Store in Regent Street, London for the ‘Meet The Actors’ event.

Best Dressed Of The Week – Zhang Ziyi in Vionnet, Lily Collins in Houghton & Ashley Madekwe in Diane Von Furstenberg

It was a tie this week, as you couldn’t decide between Zhang Ziyi’s bright-orange Vionnet frock and Lily Collins’ backless Houghton gown.

The looks couldn’t be more different: Ziyi’s was sexy and flirty, while Lily’s possessed an ethereal goddess quality.

My pick was Ashley Madekwe in her Diane von Furstenberg jumpsuit, you won’t be surprised to learn. Even though I hate this word, the best word to sum up this look is ‘fierce’, feline fierce, with plenty of sex appeal and attitude to boot, with impeccable styling and flawless makeup putting the icing on this tasty cake.

Our menswear choices differed too. You went for the sleek suaveness of Liam Hemsworth in his ice-blue suit, whereas Robert Sheehan in his paisley-print Dent De Man suit was always going to be a winner for me.
