23rd Annual American Cinematheque Awards, LA

Kerry Washington really is a delight to watch on the red carpet. She is nothing short of perfect, each outing, and her look is always effortless.

Last night the actress wore a Missoni Spring 2009 wide-legged jumpsuit, with a wine and white geometric print.

Without question, she is up for Best Dressed this week.

For a long while Sharon Stone was on my Fashion Failures list, but she has been making baby steps to get off that list, and here is why.

Her black embellished gown is simple, with no animal print - her favourite look - and it fits her perfectly. Not something I have said often in the past.

Penelope Cruz wore a white Chanel Spring 2009 bouclé skirt suit which had a black trim, with a black hat.

Penelope’s suit has lost all its appeal from the runway version. It surprises me that someone with Penelope’s flair, could water down this suit to the point were it’s just plain boring.

From these two pictures Gabrielle Union’s Tadashi Shoji Fall 2008 gown could be black or chocolate brown.

One thing is for certain, she looks amazing in it whatever the colour.

Another black dress on the red carpet. I can hardly contain my disappointment.

Emmanuelle Chriqui normally wears such bold interesting, colourful dresses, so this is a let down.

Angelina Jolie usually exclusively wears black and grey, so imagine my surprise to see her arrive at this screening wearing a white L’Wren Scott dress with ivory peep-toe heels.

The Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation Host the 18th Annual ‘A Magical Evening Gala, New York

Jessica Szohr usually looks very grungy and her hair is usually wild and out of control, but last night, she scrubbed up very well, with her hair pulled back to allow her stunning ivory J.Mendel Spring 2009 gown to shine.

She completes her look with a Nancy Gonzalez clutch.

It is only Tuesday from last nights events I already have 3 contenders for Best Dressed.

The colour is great on Kim Raver, but the Naeem Khan Spring 2009 dress is just a little confusing and does not quite work for me.

Lindsay Price looks ethereal in her ice blue dress. This is one of her best looks.

Djimon Hounsou arrived on the red carpet with his girlfriend Kimora Lee Simmons.

It is not often I compliment Kimora, but I always like to give credit were credit is due, and the media mogul, look fantastic. The strapless Notte by Marchesa Fall 2008 dress with embroidered bodice, and a floaty skirt.

A millions miles away from her ghetto fabulous look and I love it.

Michelle Trachtenberg sure has been wearing a lot of black lately, but she does look flawless wearing this black chiffon Catherine Malandrino Resort 2009 camisole dress with pleated layers.

I especially love her two-tone peep-toes.

Emily Blunt is more casual than we are used to seeing her on the red carpet, but I do love her printed dress and her pink clutch, but I am not crazy about her booties.

L’Oreal Legends Gala to Benefit The Ovarian Cancer Research Fund, New York

Kerry Washington is flawless as usual, and I do not think she gets enough credit. She look stunning in a sequin golden Ralph Lauren gown.

Diane Keaton wore a floral Prada Resort 2008 skirt, with a black velvet blazer and a string for pearl. Gorgeous.

Kate Bosworth was another ‘Burberry babe’ this week, wearing a stunning gold feathered Burberry Prorsum Fall 2008 belted dress.

The actress completes her look with a pair of Burberry Prorsum Ruched platform pumps.

I have never been a fan of the way Jennifer Lopez slicks back her hair so severely, then has that huge bun at the back, but there is no denying she looks gorgeous in her petal pink one-shouldered Versace dress.

Allegra Versace wore one of those stunning heart adorned dresses from the Versace Spring 2009 collection.

Donatella Versace wore a black asymmetric gown also from the Versace Spring 2009 collection, which surprisingly is not modified.

The gown also has heart details, which you can just about see on the back side of the gown.

The designer was honoured to received the Superstar Award last night.

Chanel Iman looks amazing in this grey fringed Chanel Spring 2007 Couture dress with black leggings. She always looks great both on and off the runway.

Kerry Washington went for a dramatic midnight blue Marchesa Resort 2009 gown with silver embellished details.

A slick haired Debra Messing arrived wearing a black halter-neck gown, and carrying a black Jimmy Choo patent leather tube-shaped clutch with gold eyelets.

I am so used to seeing Debra with wild curly red hair, that she almost looks like a different woman here.

Had Becki Newton not already worn this feathered Marchesa Fall 2008 mini dress, I would have been more excited to see it on Georgina Chapman.

Ashley Olsen does not look to happy in her navy Calvin Klein dress, and I don’t blame her because it’s incredibly dull.

If Blake Lively’s nude bra was not so revealing in her navy Chanel dress, I may have forced myself to like her look.

As I said earlier this week, it feels like she just not trying anymore.

The actress wore shoes, which are barely seen, and she carried a cute pink heart-shaped jeweled clutch.

Both look amazing in the dress. I love the way Petra looks so natural in the dress, without shoes or make-up and still look gorgeous, but I adore Kerry’s accessories are so beautiful that she wins this for me.

She is very much taking over Thandie Newton who was Most Consistent in my Best of 2007 Awards last year.
