Get The Look: Kate Bosworth’s ‘Still Alice’ New York Screening Makeup

The Cinema Society With Montblanc And Dom Perignon Host A Screening Of Sony Pictures Classics' "Still Alice" - ArrivalsCelebrity makeup artist Hung Vanngo worked with Kate Bosworth for the screening of ‘Still Alice’ on Tuesday (January 13) in New York.

Hung said, “Kate was super excited that she got to wear one of the late Oscar de la Renta’s last designs to the premiere of ‘Still Alice.’ We love Kate’s new short haircut and when we saw the dress, it was very reminiscent of a modern day Great Gatsby.”

Here’s how to get her look.

He started by prepping Kate’s skin with Tatcha Deep Brightening Serum
first, then Tatcha Enriching Renewal Cream, Tatcha Ageless Revitalizing Eye Cream and Tatcha Camellia Nourishing Lip Balm.

He then mixed CK One Long Wear Foundation in Fair #200 with a tiny bit of CK One Skin Illuminator in Cool #100 to apply sparingly on the face and neck. Then he applied CK One Concealer Pen in Light #1 to cover under the eyes and around the nose.

For the eyes, he applied CK One Eyeshadow Base in Proper #600 all over the crease and both upper & lower lash lines. Then he used CK One Mono Eyeshadow in Ambitious #710 mainly on the crease and the inner corner of the eye. He finish the eyes by appling one coat of CK One Volume Mascara in Show #800.

For the cheeks, he applied CK One Cream + Powder Blush Duo in Breath #100 using only the cream part and applied this, with his fingers, mainly to the cheekbones. He also used a few drops of the skin illuminator in cool as a highlighter, using his fingers to apply on the apples of the cheeks, forehead, top of the nose, and cupid’s bow to make the skin look extra luminous.

CK One in Devotion #220 was applied to Kate’s lips sans lip liner so the her lips didn’t look too heavy.

To finish the look, he powdered only the t-zone with CK One Airlight Pressed Powder in Porcelain #100.

One for her hall of fame.

Coach Backstage Rodeo Drive Event

Coach Backstage Rodeo Drive Event

Coach hosted an event to celebrate the reopening of its Rodeo Drive store with a party and private concert on Thursday (December 11). The Coach Backstage Rodeo Drive event was attended by celebrities who were of course decked out in Coach.

Kate Bosworth: Always on hand to lend her support to a fashion brand, the actress wore a coral leather shirt dress from the Spring 2015 collection styled with Coach clogs in a contrasting brown hue and a Kotur clutch. While she did go matchy matchy with the lip colour, I’m glad she didn’t go in the same direction with the shoes that we saw in the look book. The hair? Well, I don’t think I have ever got on board with her hairstyles, and this is no exception.

Chloe Sevigny: The indie actress also wore a Spring 2015 look, rocking a studded baby-blue jacket and printed mini skirt for a very fun, fresh, youthful red carpet spin. Also opting for the Coach clogs, the look was styled with a pink Coach shoulder bag. I’m fully embracing the summery vibe from this look, right down to her California tan and beachy waves.

Kirsten Dunst: While everyone else made a concerted effort, I don’t get that same vibe from Kirsten. The all-black look was broken up with a Coach cream tote, which doesn’t really go with the look.

The Hugo Boss Prize 2014

The Hugo Boss Prize 2014

The Hugo Boss Prize 2014 took place at the Guggenheim Museum on Thursday (November 20) in New York City, with celebs wearing looks from the Spring 2015 collection designed by Jason Wu.

Kate Bosworth: Oozing with elegance, glamour and charm, the actress’s black and white fitted strapless BOSS Spring 2015 number was effortlessly styled with black accessories including an Rauwolf clutch and Kurt Geiger London ‘Britton’ pumps.

Nicola Peltz: Black continues to be the starlet’s red carpet M.O., with only a few brushes with colour during her ‘Transformers’ promo tour. On this occasion her BOSS Spring 2015 LBD was strapless and fitted, with a sheer overlay adding a sensual touch to the ultra-femme look. A rouge mani and wing-tip eyes completed her simple look.

Margot Robbie: While the others opted for strapless dresses, Margot worked a more mannish approach in a classic Hugo Boss suit with satin lapels. I love how she totally committed to the look, slicking back her hair, giving off a young Brigitte Nielsen vibe. The bold orange-red lip is just divine.

Get The Look: Kate Bosworth’s ‘Gala in the Garden’ Hair & Makeup

Hammer Museum's "Gala In The Garden" Honoring Joni Mitchell And Mark BradfordCelebrity makeup artist Lisa Storey and celebrity hairstylist Bridget Brager worked with Kate Bosworth for the Hammer Museum’s ‘Gala in the Garden’ on Saturday (11 October).

MAKEUP ARTIST LISA STOREY
Lisa shares her beauty inspiration: “We decided on a look that transitioned from the end of summer to fall, and worked perfectly with Kate’s soft cream-white form-fitting Alexandre Vauthier Couture and diamonds.”

Here’s how to get the look.

On the outer edge of the eye, Lisa applied Laura Mercier Caviar Stick in Plum, followed by the same stick in Orchid across the centre of the lid to the inner corners.

Next she used Tom Ford Eye Color Quad in Seductive Rose – the darker shade in the outer lid and blending the lighter shades towards the middle lid and corner of the eye. Then she blended into the contour of the eye to create a soft fading gradient of colour. The eyebrows were gently filled using Dior Eyebrow Pencil in Blonde to give a softer, warm look. She applied a light lick of Dior Blackout Mascara to give a little depth.

She blushed Kate’s cheeks with Chanel Cream Blush in Chamade and lightly contoured the cheekbones with Tom Ford Shade & Illuminate Intensity 1.

Lisa finished the look with Tom Ford Indian Rose Lipstick and dusted the face with Tom Ford Illuminating Powder.

HAIRSTYLIST BRIDGET BRAGER
Bridget shares her hair inspiration: “We went for an understated hairstyle. The dress and jewels were such a statement and so beautiful that I wanted to keep on the cool side with a textured pony. She was going to a cocktail party, after all!”

Here’s how to get the look.

Bridget prepped Kate’s damp hair with O&M Atonic Thickening Spray. She dried her hair so as much natural texture as possible would come out – a lot of scrunching the hair up and then over, directing the hair from side to side.

After her hair was dry, Bridget used a 1.5 inch curling iron and picked out random sections of hair to curl horizontally. She curled up and then curled down the same section so no curl pattern was the same. She wanted lived-in hair.

Once all the hair was set, she sprayed Bumble and bumble City Swept onto the lengths of the hair and gave the hair a good shake. Then she secured the ponytail with a bungee just under the crown of the head. She wrapped a piece of hair around the bungee and secured it with a hairpin.

To finish, she used a light spray of L’Oreal Elnett Hairspray.
