Karolina Kurkova In Esteban Cortazar - Dream For Future Africa Foundation Inaugural Gala

Karolina Kurkova attended the Dream for Future Africa Foundation Inaugural Gala honouring Franca Sozzani of VOGUE Italia held at Spago in Beverly Hills, California yesterday evening.

Opting to scrape back her hair and decide upon what appears to be no makeup at all, the supermodel wore an Esteban Cortazar Fall 2013 LBD with multiple cut-out details, a cape back and grey panels cupping the sides of her dress.

The look was styled with simple black ankle-strap pumps, but I’m missing just one element, a clutch perhaps, to take this from meh, to me likey.

You may remember that Toni Collette wore this same dress to the ‘Enough Said’ New York screening last month.

Many more stars sashayed into the it-list lineup at the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts Inaugural Gala, hosted on Thursday at the Wallis Annenberg Center in Beverly Hills, California, all donning the designer of the evening, Salvatore Ferragamo.

Camilla Belle: The actress complemented her bronzed glow with a plunging, tiered gown with a crisscross back in an arresting shade of blush-nude. Diamond jewels, a golden clutch and a severely slicked-back ‘do completed her ensemble.

Abbie Cornish: Opting for a glam, cerulean-blue dress, accented with a jewel brooch at the halter neckline and a studded belt, the Aussie star kept her accessories on the simple side with a basic box clutch, a dainty earring, and sideswept retro waves.

Freida Pinto: Also working a blushing nude hue, Freida glittered in her embellished halter confection. To highlight the T-back detail of the dress, she piled her dark locks into an updo and kept her jewels to a minimum. After all, the dress had enough dazzle.

Naomi Campbell and Karolina Kurkova In Roberto Cavalli - Vogue Fashion Dubai Experience

Supermodels Naomi Campbell and Karolina Kurkova celebrated the inaugural ‘Vogue Fashion Dubai Experience’; an evening of glamour which brought ‘the magic of Vogue’ to the Middle East for the first time which was hosted by Editor-in-Chief of Vogue Italia, Franca Sozzani.

Naomi Campbell: Giving a true masterclass on how to work the sheer trend, the model donned a Roberto Cavalli long-sleeve lace gown with leather lined laced detailing and tonal bugle embroidery.

Karolina Kurkova: Opting for a more masculine Cavalli look, the model wore pink suit with a woven, laced jacket, a snake skin print shirt and crocodile embossed pants. Tassel accents fell from her necklace and clutch while she completed her look with sexy cream strappy sandals.

Despite being polar opposites; both are quintessential Cavalli looks.

Karolina Kurkova In Dion Lee - 2013 US Open

Karolina Kurkova attended the US Open on Saturday.

The model looked sporty and fresh in a Dion Lee shirt and white pencil skirt.

While there’s no wow-factor for me in this look, it’s quite event-appropriate, and Karolina is working it.

Karolina’s white pumps are a vast improvement over the shoes worn on the runway, and her variation is more feminine, which I like.

Simple, sleeked back hair and an almost completely bare face complete the look.

Who Wore Roberto Cavalli Better Karolina Kurkova or Solange Knowles

Karolina Kurkova wore a Roberto Cavalli printed blazer and blouse from the designer’s Spring 2013 collection with Marissa Webb leather pants and Ruthie Davis ‘Captiva’ pumps while making a guest appearance on The Today Show to promote ‘The Face’ back in March.

Two months later, Solange Knowles wore the full runway look styled with a Vionnet green clutch while attending the Belvedere Vodka ‘Walks Its Way’ Run D.M.C. party during Cannes Film Festival.

While I love the runway look, I would’ve preferred a narrower pant on Solange.

Karolina wins for me as I prefer her overall styling, from the unbuttoned blouse to the sexy leather pants.

Models @ 2013 CFDA Fashion Awards

Some of our favourite cat-walkers were among the mix of style royalty at the 2013 CFDA Fashion Awards at Lincoln Center’s Alice Tully Hall in New York City. The models definitely had their moment last night, strutting out a slew of bold-name designers and even bolder looks to match.

Adriana Lima: Donning a leggy and luxe Riccardo Tisci for Givenchy Fall 2013 confection, this Brazilian beauty did justice to the edgy designer—who was the CFDA International Award Winner—even with black bloomers peeking through the gown. A center-parted ‘do and glowing makeup finished the look. Fellow model Joan Smalls rocked a similar Givenchy sheer design at the amfAR Cinema Against AIDS Gala. Who do you think wore it best?

Miranda Kerr: This model mom made waves with a retro-modern frock by Proenza Schouler. The square neckline and fit-and-flare shape were nothing if not fun and provided the perfect palette for the trippy, painterly cerulean and verdigris hues. More sophistication came with a classic pair of black, triple ankle-wrap Stuart Weitzman heels, Jennifer Meyer jewels and a silver Stuart Weitzman clutch, along with a fuchsia lippie and low bun.

Joan Smalls: The lovely Latina wore a breezy white, strapless Givenchy gown. The matte white panel on the bottom created a sort of casual, sundress feel. But upon closer inspection, it was anything but beach-y with a corseted bodice and sheer lace-embellished skirt. The glittering choker-necklace added a daring, darker note.
