Jessica Chastain In Nina Ricci - 2014 Critics' Choice Movie Awards

Jessica Chastain enjoyed another night out on the red carpet at the 19th Annual Critics’ Choice Movie Awards held at Barker Hangar on Thursday (January 16) in Santa Monica.

The actress looked divine wearing a romantic Nina Ricci Pre-Fall 2014 cypress green silk crepe gown with a lace yoke back which featured light ruffles.

Balancing feminine fancy with grown-up gumption, she completed the look with a part-braided do and orange lip shade.

Red heads and green gowns are always a winning combination for me. Does it work for you on this occasion?

Nail Trend Spotting: 2014 Golden Globes Moody Darks

Nail Trend Spotting 2014 Golden Globes Moody Darks

Dark polishes made their appearance during the 2014 Golden Globe Awards. And with manicures getting more and more coverage (hello, mani cams), nails are becoming a trend all on their own.

Taylor Schilling donned Essie’s Berry Naughty, a beautiful oxblood shade. Celebrity manicurist, Beth Fricke, wanted a color that would look gorgeous against her dark, kelly-green gown.

Celebrity manicurist Christina Aviles decided on a deep red to stand out against Jessica Chastain’s dark dress. Essie’s Poor Li’l Rich Girl was the perfect shade to complement.

Michelle Saunders, celebrity manicurist for Kate Beckinsale, went with what she thought was a bold choice for the red carpet. “But she pulled it off flawlessly,” says Michelle. The colour?

Essie’s Licorice, which gave off the effect of patent leather–the perfect addition to her metallic gown.

Have you been sporting the dark nail trend? If not, you’ve still a few weeks left before lights and pastels start making their rounds for spring.

Jessica Chastain In Givenchy – 2014 Golden Globe Awards

Jessica Chastain made a radiant appearance on the red carpet of the 2014 Golden Globe Awards in Los Angeles this evening (January 12).

The stunning star wore a custom Givenchy by Riccardo Tisci gown with intricate monochromatic detailing.

Jessica paired the dress with a beautiful diamond necklace and made the very unique but obviously thoughtful choice to forego earrings altogether.

Absolutely luminous skin, long lashes, and gorgeous red curls are the perfect beauty look for a big award show.

Jessica Chastain In Oscar de la Renta – 2014 National Board Of Review Awards Gala

Jessica Chastain In Oscar de la Renta - 2014 National Board Of Review Awards Gala

Jessica Chastain attended the 2014 National Board Of Review Awards Gala held at Cipriani 42nd Street on Tuesday (January 7) in New York City.

I am delighted to see one of my favourites return to the red carpet, especially when she’s sporting such a refreshing bold hue.

She donned an Oscar de la Renta Spring 2014 citron silk-faille dress featuring an open neckline and draped detail from the hip, which she styled with the stunning lapis-blue-yellow-and-silver heeled ‘Kenzie’ pumps the model wore on the runway.

Opting to go clutch-free, as per, the actress completed her look with a high bouffant ponytail and a glossy red lip.

Ahna O’Reilly In Thakoon and Jessica Chastain In Emilio Pucci – Audi Celebrates The Holidays And Snow Polo In Aspen 2013

Ahna O'Reilly In Thakoon and Jessica Chastain In Emilio Pucci - Audi Celebrates The Holidays And Snow Polo In Aspen 2013

Ahna O’Reilly and Jessica Chastain attended the Audi Celebrates The Holidays And Snow Polo In Aspen 2013 event on Saturday (December 21) in Aspen, Colorado.

Ahna O’Reilly: The actress wore a Thakoon Fall 2013 dress featuring a drifting pattern of dandelions. The seductive, sheer lace panels, which put a daring twist on this ladylike frock, were snuffed out as the actress opted for a nude lining. Does this ruin the look for you? Bionda Castana heels and a simple updo completed the look.

Jessica Chastain: The actress chose a simpler look, wearing an Emilio Pucci long-sleeved frock with a sheer-lace-insert bodice and flared hem. Adding a bold red lip, she styled the look with gold glitter pumps and a wraparound gold bracelet.

Jessica Chastain for Vogue US December 2013

Two-time Oscar-nominated actress Jessica Chastain covers the December 2013 issue of American Vogue, which is, surprisingly, her first cover for the mag.

Annie Leibovitz captures Jessica as she recreates classic paintings wearing Alexander Wang, Oscar de la Renta, Vera Wang and Alexander McQueen. Even the cover is art-inspired as Jessica wears a yellow Theory by Theyskens gown evoking the image of Frederic Leighton’s famous ‘Flaming June’ painting.

She talks to Vogue about her life and how she’s very shy, and her best friend Jess Weixler talks about the star’s strong work ethic.

You can read some extracts below or go to Vogue.com. The December issue hits newsstands November 19.

On her life: “My life has gone, you know, a little wonderful and crazy.”

On her confidence: “I did not feel like a beautiful woman that people would kill each other for. Jessica – who I am in my personal life – I’m very shy, I feel very awkward, I don’t feel like a femme fatale at all.”

Jess Weixler, her best friend from Juilliard, on young Jessica: “She’s always been unbelievably focused. It used to drive the guys crazy. ‘Why won’t Jessica stay up late?’ There were a few times when I was like: I can’t believe she’s waking up on a Saturday to go to an extra class.”

Jessica Chastain In Chanel Couture – An Evening Honoring Karl Lagerfeld

Jessica Chastain In Chanel Couture - An Evening Honoring Karl Lagerfeld

Jessica Chastain attended An Evening Honoring Karl Lagerfeld held at Alice Tully Hall in New York City yesterday evening.

She could’ve worn Fendi, or Karl’s ready-to-wear line, but instead she wore the brand he is most known for: Chanel.

Selecting a look from the Fall 2013 Couture collection, the black-and-white tweed dress with an A-line skirt features white beads, grey sequins and origami effect flowers on the sleeves and skirt.

Usually my love for a Jessica Chastain look is instant, but I find myself feeling like this backless dress is a tad too twee for the actress and I am not a fan of the accessories either.

On the plus side, her makeup is flawless and I love the braided updo.
