Jena Malone In Reformation - The Holy Other A Series Of Photos By Jena Malone Opening Reception

Jena Malone hosted the opening reception of her photo series ‘The Holy Other’ on Friday evening (November 21) in Los Angeles.

The ‘Hunger Games’ star got really dressed up for the occasion wearing a Reformation ‘Constance’ off-the-shoulder gown featuring a sweetheart neckline.

Her bridemaid-esque gown was very elegantly styled with a braided updo and pretty glossy pink lip, but when I look at the other attendees, I have to wonder if she was overdressed. Were they undressed or does it not matter as she was the lady of the hour?

Jena Malone attended the premiere of ‘The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1′ held at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live on Monday (November 17) in Los Angeles, California.

Oozing sophisticated elegance in a stop and stare fashion, the actress wore an Emanuel Ungaro dress as fiery as her hair, selecting a striking red long-sleeved Spring 2015 glamorous piece.

Effortlessly styled with gold accessories including Charlotte Olympia shoes and a Jill Milan clutch, her hair was teased into chic retro waves, with the red pout perfecting this already perfect look.

This dress didn’t need much, but she breathes so much life into it; totally owning the look.

Who Wore Valentino Better…Jena Malone or Alexa Chung?

Who Wore Valentino Better Jena Malone or Alexa Chung

Jena Malone was the first to rock the monkey-embroidered Valentino Resort 2015 dress while attending the ‘Inherent Vice’ premiere last month.

Ever the daredevil, she didn’t line the sheer dress, opting to wear a bralet and hot pants, styling the look with a Valentino clutch and navy pumps while giving her new red hair its red carpet debut.

Alexa Chung wore the same dress a few weeks later while attending a dinner party to celebrate Valentino Garavani’s launch of his new book.

While the overall look was much more prim with the dress fully lined, I much prefer Jena’s approach, especially when it came to the styling.

Elie Saab Private Dinner Party #ElieSaabLA

Elie Saab Private Dinner Party #ElieSaabLA

Elie Saab hosted an event in LA on Thursday (November 13), finally getting a chance to meet all those ladies who he helps secure best-dressed status whenever they wear his gowns.

Ashley Madekwe: The gorgeous actress was by far my favourite at this event, wearing a teal look from the Spring 2015 collection styled with a cream Elie Saab clutch. It’s a typically chic offering, easy, effortless, tailored to perfection, with plenty of feminine appeal. I’m crushing on her new bangs too. This is a BDOTW contender if ever I saw one.

Lily Collins: The lady of the hour must have been Lily Collins, who had a breathtaking turn on the red carpet a few weeks ago wearing an Elie Saab ombre Couture gown which I’m pretty confident will be top of many BDOTY lists. Going for something less dramatic on this occasion, the actress wore an uber-chic short jumpsuit from the Spring 2015 collection spliced with a lace sleeve and ruffled detail, which she styled with a black Elie Saab bag and Louboutins. No Lily Collins look would be complete without a bold lip.

Jena Malone attended ‘The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1′ premiere held at Odeon Leicester Square this evening (November 10).

The actress wore an Emilia Wickstead Spring 2015 two-piece look consisting of an ivory body suit with a high-waisted bright yellow skirt with a wraparound effect rendered in scrumptious duchess satin.

I love how she made the look her own, wearing it off the shoulder, while still maintaining a classy appeal.

Watching Jena on the live feed, she was electrifying on this red carpet, so effervescent that her personality almost upstaged her look.

2014 MTV EMAs Red Carpet Roundup

2014 MTV EMAs Red Carpet Roundup

The MTV EMAs 2014 took place at The Hydro on Sunday (November 9) in Glasgow, Scotland. I was expecting to be at least entertained by the red carpet arrivals; sadly it was a total bust. Perhaps they could can the event for good if this is the best they could muster for the red carpet.

Ariana Grande: Finally letting her hair down – literally, not metaphorically – the singer showed a more grown-up side to her red carpet dressing. Her black Cristiano Burani gown with cut-outs is basically a copy of a Michael Kors Spring 2013 gown which was much loved by Alicia Keys and Myleene Klass.

Alesha Dixon: Even with its decorative detailing, this Mary Katrantzou ‘Oriane’ shirt dress doesn’t feel glam enough for an awards ceremony. Taking the event out of the equation, I simply adore this bold look styled with fierce Sophia Webster ‘Mila’ cage sandals and a violet lip to die for.
