Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Jamie Chung In Oliver Tolentino - Entertainment Weekly Pre-Emmy Party

Jamie Chung attended the 2013 Entertainment Weekly Pre-Emmy Party held at Fig & Olive Melrose Place in West Hollywood, California on Friday evening.

With such a jam-packed red carpet, she did well to stand out wearing this Oliver Tolentino French lace dress in a striking electric blue hue.

Nude pumps, a silver bracelet, and a loose wavy updo completed her beautiful look.

Jamie Chung In Parker - SPLASH

Jamie Chung attended SPLASH, an exclusive event by Live Love Spa held at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza in Century City, California yesterday afternoon.

The ‘Hangover’ actress wore a pretty, summery Parker dress which features a demure pleated skirt balanced by a chic keyhole detail at the neckline for a timeless look highlighted by side-weave embroidery in black and white for added texture, which is then offset by a cool watercolour print.

Her statement frock was simply styled with silver sandals, an aqua-stone ring, wavy tresses and blue eyeliner.

You may remember that this dress has already been worn by Olivia Munn.

Spring 2014 New York Fashion Week Front Row – Day 2

With New York Fashion Week fully under way, the FROW regulars are coming out to play. Here, a look at yesterday’s statement-making starlets in the chic seats at the Spring 2014 shows.

Ashley Madekwe @ Cushnie et Ochs: The ‘Revenge’ actress made waves at the Cushnie et Ochs presentation at Milk Studios in a fiery red-orange frock from the label, which is immediately recognizable for the cutout detail. The peekaboo double-slash through the center of the dress has sultriness and edge without being try-hard or distracting. The same goes for her effortless styling, including a swept-back ‘do, minimal makeup and a barely-there pair of black, skinny strap Saint Laurent sandals.

Taylor Momsen @ Helmut Lang: Wearing her go-to colour—black—the actress-cum-singer covered up in a Helmut Lang sweater-and-skirt ensemble at the brand’s show. The knee-high lace-up boots, not to mention her bed-head platinum waves and red under-eye shadow, which replaced her favoured smokey, raccoon eyes, added the rocker-rebel vibe that currently defines her style.

Solange Knowles @ Noon By Noor: Giving us one of the more spirited looks of the day, the songstress naturally wore a printed ensemble from the Noon By Noor Resort 2014 collection, when she attended the young brand’s show, held at The Studio at Lincoln Center. The playful palm-tree blazer and wide trouser shorts, mixed with the embroidered flamingos on the blue shirt, had a retro, fun flair only boosted by Sophia Webster’s pink-edged ‘Leilou’ T-strap sandals, which she wore with black socks.

Spring 2014 New York Fashion Week FROW - Day 1

Here is a quick roundup of the notable attendees who took their front-row seats during Day 1 of Spring 2014 New York Fashion Week.

Zosia Mamet @ Honor: Still not able to crack a smile, the ‘Girls’ actress who has worn many Honor pieces on the red carpet opted for this pretty pink jacquard racer-front mini dress styled with red-and-white Tabitha Simmons for Honor pointy flats. Not one to usually wear much makeup, I love the pink lip colour here, but her overall styling – not surprisingly – is off.

Patrina Miller @ Tadashi Shoji: The Broadway star was probably picking out her next Tony Awards gown, taking her seat wearing a lovely red embroidered lace cocktail dress from Tadashi Shoji’s Spring 2013 collection.

Olivia Palermo @ BCBG Max Azria: The socialite and FROW regular doesn’t always play the ‘wear pieces from the designer show I’m attending’ game but she did so on this occasion, wearing a BCBG white-and-nude draped long-sleeved Resort 2014 dress with her favourite summer accessories, including the Aquazzura ‘Sexy Thing’ booties, Ray-bans and her crochet Gerard Darel bag, and eclectic jewels including the Lulu Frost necklace I had on my Must-Have Monday post a few weeks back.

Jamie Chung In Ann Taylor - ‘Kitchen Revelry’ Cookbook Release Party

Jamie Chung helped celebrate the release of Ali Larter’s new cookbook ‘Kitchen Revelry’ with Perrier-Jouet at Sunset Tower in West Hollywood, California on Tuesday.

‘The Hangover’ actress opted for chic separates, wearing a white top with leather patches on the shoulder paired with an Ann Taylor jacquard flounce skirt in a spicy leopard print.

I love her bordeaux Coach ‘Lavania’ sandals, which perfectly complement her skirt, with a Gerard Darel santiago leather ‘Dolly’ clutch and gold cuff adding an edge to her look.

Easy and effortless.

Myspace Event

MySpace Event 1

Myspace held an event at the El Rey Theatre in Los Angeles, California yesterday evening, inviting many celebs to their fun-filled soirée. I didn’t know people still used MySpace.

Miley Cyrus: Let’s start with those pants. At first I thought they were from the Rihanna for River Island collection, but having gone through the collection I found that nothing was as bad as this part-sweatpants part-jeans combo creation which were created by Ashish for his Spring 2013 collection. Isn’t this like trying to mix oil with vinegar? The rest of her look isn’t as bad, by her standards. She wore an Alexander Wang leather bralette with a plasticy bomber jacket, accessorizing with on-trend white pumps, a Chanel bag, and a selection of jewels. Liam sure is a lucky boy.

Dianna Agron: Returning to her blonde ‘do after a brief flirtation with red, the ‘Glee’ actress, unlike some, decided to make an effort and dress up for this occasion. The actress wore a Marc Jacobs look, featuring a ruffle-collared sleeveless white silk blouse styled with a floral-and-butterfly print pleated skirt from the Resort 2013 collection, which she also topped off with on-trend white pumps and a bold lip colour. A blue patent ladylike clutch completed her look.

Olivia Wilde: The actress does pretty very well and often, so I’m loving this refreshing laidback look. I would gladly rock each piece, from the J Brand ‘Abiah’ leather jacket to the blue tee, paint-splattered Parker jeans and red t-bar Brian Atwood sandals. This is how to do, ‘with an edge’ without looking ridiculous.
