Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Evan Rachel Wood was looking fierce on the red carpet, wearing a sexy black and silver Gucci Fall 2009 dress, with black feathered detail on the shoulders, a large waist belt, and black Brian Atwood “Maniac” platforms.

I love how this girl switches things up for different events. She’s never predictable. When you expect black she will give you a cream gown like at the Oscars.

Her look was complete with the red carpet favourite, the Jimmy Choo Kase Oval Clutch.

I’m really enjoying Katharine McPhee’s recent run on the red carpet. She always looks so elegant and beautiful. This event was no exception.

She arrived wearing a poppy red Reem Acra Resort 2009 silk satin strapless cocktail dress, with bow detail on the bodice.

Her look was complete with a pair of  Tory Burch’s Francesca Sexy gladiator sandals.

This is the second time in a row that LaLa Vazquez has worn Alexander Wang on the red carpet.

This time she wears an Alexander Wang denim and velvet corset top, with a stripey blazer, and black pants.

I like the blazer and the Wang top, but not together. I also think her pants would have been better had they been more fitted. At present they look ill-fitting, especially around the ankles.

Rumer Willis showed off her long legs, wearing a mini black dress with a ruffle skirt. The dress had an interesting print, and her grey clutch complements the dress well.

I like this look for Rumer, but I’m still rooting for her to dye her hair back to black.

Cutie Jamie Chung, arrived wearing a strapless Mara Hoffman dress, with an interesting print. Her look was completed a gorgeous studded clutch, and a Giuseppe Zanotti cut-out booties.

AnnaLynne McCord’s hair was curly and wild the last time she walked the red carpet. This time she opts for sleek marcel waves, with her black strapless mini Alice + Olivia Madison dress.

The pop of red on the lips adds a very small touch of colour, to her all black look.

Bar Refaeli always looks so beautiful.

On this occasion she glows in a one shoulder Notte by Marchesa hot pink mini dress, with large flower detail on the bodice.

Not sure about those purple peep-toes though.

Eva Marcille wore an ivory halter neck Eva Culture gown, with layer upon layer of ruffles.

It’s simple, and yet totally gorgeous.

My Best Dressed of last week, actress Jamie Chung, wore this strapless floral maxi dress to the the world premiere of Dragonball Evolution in Japan last Tuesday.

Sophia Bush had worn the same dress 7 months earlier to the Teen Choice Awards.

Sophia wore her dress with a grey Fendi Borderline satin clutch, and a string of silver bracelets.

Sophia is one of my many girl crushes, but I prefer the way Jamie wore the dress, with a shorter bodice. This allowed the skirt to appear more voluminous, and I believe it would have billowed like a giant mushroom on the red carpet. Sophia’s skirt looks flat in comparison.

Jamie wins for me.

After looking at the Fall 2009 collections for the last 4 weeks, I have been getting progressively worried about how much black was presented. Jamie Chung was a relieving tonic to my eyes, as she took to the red carpet in a floral Jenni Kayne strapless dress.

Vanessa Williams and Sarah Jessica Parker were my next favourites.

Your favourite was Freida Pinto wearing a white Chanel dress.

I was surprised she won, because a lot of the comments on that post, were related to how bored some of you are of her. You surely can’t be tiring of Frieda yet? She’s barely started.

The School Of American Ballet’s Winter Ball, New York

I was not crazy about the L’Wren Scott Fall 2009 collection. Too many similar dresses in different colours from past seasons put me off.

Thankfully Sarah Jessica Parker picked one of the best pieces. She wore this slinky body-hugging L’Wren Scott Fall 2009 green snake print dress, with a feathered stole, and strappy Christian Louboutin for L’Wren Scott heels from the collection.

Her look was complete with leather driving gloves, and a diamond bracelet.

Love her.

Some might say given their ages, it should be Blake Lively wearing the tight sexy L’Wren Scott dress, and SJP should have worn this black plunging Ralph Lauren gown, but life’s just not that black and white.

“Dragonball Evolution” World Premiere

If feels like forever since we last saw Emmy Rossum on the red carpet, but I am glad she kept up her sex kitten look.

The actress wore a blue strapless mini vintage Emanuel Ungaro Couture dress, that no doubt wowed the crowds.

Her hair was slicked back, so we could see her exquisite earrings.

The outstanding beautiful Jamie Chung wore dress to match, in this floral Jenni Kayne Resort 2009 which Sophia Bush wore to the Teen Choice Awards last year.

“Sunshine Cleaning” LA Premiere

Emily Blunt and Amy Adams play sisters in this movie, but they couldn’t have looked more different at this premiere.

Emily channeled her romantic side, with a pretty strapless Basil Soda dress, with a gorgeous ruffled bodice.

Whilst Amy opted for a slick in a white Burberry trouser suit.

I don’t recall seeing Amy in a suit before, but it’s a look that really works for her.

“Knowing” New York Premiere

I couldn’t find one picture of Rose Byrne’s smiling. Which is surprising, because I would be, if I wore her strapless Christian Cota Fall 2008 feathered dress.

The maroon dress is outstanding, and the details are exquisite.

“33 Variations” Broadway Opening Night, New York

Rose McGowan wears a black satin and tulle strapless dress from her favourite designers Dolce & Gabbana.

Her look is completed with a jeweled belt from their Spring 2009 collection, and a very questionable pair of brown pumps.

Way to spoil a look McGowan.
