Hayley Atwell In Julien Macdonald - Evening Standard Theatre Awards

Hayley Atwell attended the Evening Standard Theatre Awards held at The Savoy Hotel in London yesterday evening.

She wore a Julien Macdonald Spring 2014 white tulle gown with strategically placed feathers and embellishments which doesn’t work for me at all.

To start with, the dress doesn’t quite feel event appropriate for a theatre awards.

Like her last Julien Macdonald attention grabber, she’s a tad too well endowed for this dress, and the sparse feathers make her look half plucked.

When it comes to the styling, the red nails and lips are too stark for the look, and the gold jewels and Stark clutch don’t complement the silver embellishments on her dress.

It’s sadly an all-round no for me.

Topshop Unique

A long line of trendsters turned out for the Topshop Unique Spring 2014 runway, hosted at the Topshop Show Space in London on Sunday, where the FROW head-turners had on their hautest high-low looks.

Kate Moss: The supermodel struck an effortless yet cool-girl note in grey-and-black, leopard-print trousers, paired with a black jacket and heather-grey sweater. Oversized sunglasses, black booties and a blue-ceder Kate Moss for Longchamp clutch popped more attitude into this look.

Ashley Madekwe: Rocking a fire-engine shade of red, the ‘Revenge’ actress continued to make the show rounds in a cozy Topshop Unique beige jacket (which actually photographed more like mint green) and matching Boutique fuzzy jumper thrown over those bold-hued Unique trousers. Minimal makeup and a scraped-back ’do finished off the fiery look.

Ellie Goulding: The British songstress took a tougher approach with a black leather blazer and black crop top, which seemed a bit too intense for her Topshop Boutique baby-blue skirt. Her criss-cross, black-patent Unique shoes brought a heavy edge back.

Hayley Atwell In Dsquared² - 'The Pride' Press-Night Performance After-Party

Hayley Atwell attended the after-party following her press-night performance of ‘The Pride’ at The Royal Horseguards in London yesterday evening.

The British brunette beauty wore a sexy fitted Dsquared² Pre-Fall 2013 dress with a plunging neckline, open back and peplum detail at the waist accented with diamante button detailing.

Conservative nude pumps elongated her legs, and Tiffany & Co. jewels added yet more sparkle along with her silver glitter Anya Hindmarch ‘Marano’ minaudiere.

The barely there makeup trend which has been prevalent on the red carpet this summer continues here.

Hayley Atwell In Burberry Prorsum - Marvel One-Shot Comic Con Screening

Hayley Atwell kicked off the weekend at the Marvel One-Shot Comic-Con 2013 screening in San Diego, California on Friday.

While I was delighted to see that the British actress wore a favoured look from the Burberry Prorsum Fall 2013 collection, I cannot say I expected it to make an entrance at the international comic and pop-culture convention.

The sleek white dress, with a bronze-studded bodice, is a shorter version of Anne Hathaway’s black 2013 BAFTAs gown.

Deviating from the runway styling, Hayley put on a pair of on-trend Christian Louboutin ‘Batignolles’ white pumps that have made no shortage of star outings lately.

Dark forest-green gemstone earrings and a fuchsia lippie finished the look with an accent of colour.

Hayley Atwell In Julien Macdonald - ‘The World’s End’ World Premiere

Hayley Atwell joined Rosamund Pike on the red carpet for the world premiere of ‘The World’s End’ held at the Empire Leicester Square in London yesterday evening.

I have to say I was a bit shocked by Hayley choice to wear this Julien Macdonald Fall 2013 sheer embellished gown which just reads attention-grabbing upstage-attempt.

The whole thing lacks class. She’s better than this.

Hayley Atwell In Roksanda Ilincic - Fashion Rules Exhibition

Hayley Atwell attended the launch party for the Fashion Rules exhibition, a collection of dresses worn by HRH Queen Elizabeth II, Princess Margaret and Diana, Princess of Wales, at Kensington Palace in London yesterday evening alongside Pixie Geldof and Naomie Harris.

The British actress opted for a dress by one of the favourite designers of celebrities, Roksanda Ilincic.

Her Spring 2013 colour-block dress with an effortless silhouette and striking royal-blue twill collar was styled with white Louboutin pumps, a Mawi statement ring and a gold Stark clutch.

Additional pops of fuchsia-pink via her lips and nails give this sophisticated look a fun feel, with a chic topknot completing the look.
