Emma Stone In Stella McCartney - 'The Croods' Berlin Film Festival Photocall

Emma Stone made a welcome return to the red carpet this afternoon while attending the photocall for her latest movie, ‘The Croods’, during the Berlinale Film Festival.

Another week, another Stella McCartney dress on the red carpet, this time from the Spring 2013 collection.

Her bright-orange-and-white silk dress, which was shorter than with runway version plus it doesn’t have the sheer panel, was teamed with nude Christian Louboutin ‘Batignolles’ pumps, gold Jamie Wolf leaf-shaped earrings and a Melinda Maria ‘Hunter’ gold ring.

I love the complementary bright-orange lip colour and high bun which showcases her flair for having fun with fashion.

As we would expect, this is yet another flawless look from Emma, but I wish the shoes were less predictable.

Emma Stone cover

‘Gangster Squad’ star Emma Stone covers W’s February Best Performances issue wearing a Marc Jacobs leather jacket and bra.

Emma is one of the 32 actors featured in this issue’s incredible celebrity portfolio by photographer Juergen Teller that captures the zeitgeist of Hollywood today.

In the rest of the editorial we see a pure, unvarnished Emma stripped of Hollywood glamour showcasing honest emotion wearing Calvin Klein, Alexander McQueen and Balmain.

The girl of the moment talks to W about staying serious while filming dramas, her reaction to her Oscar presentation last year to Ben Stiller and what movie made her cry.

Read more over at Wmagazine.com or check out the extracts below.

On whether it’s difficult to stay serious in dramas: “In real life, sometimes it’s uncomfortable for me not to go for the joke. I’ve been looking at that in myself lately. Often, joking for me is a way of diffusing the awkwardness of a situation, so it’s kind of exhilarating to be a part of projects where there’s nothing funny or lighthearted.”

On the reaction to her Oscar presentation last year with Ben Stiller: “Thanks. Though a lot of people thought it was something else: When I came offstage, they were saying, “You were so drunk!” And I wasn’t. Not until after… ”

On what movie made her cry: “The end of City Lights makes me cry every time I see it—when Charlie Chaplin walks by the shop window and the once blind girl brings him a flower and pins it to his lapel. She’s always thought that he was a millionaire, but he was really a tramp. She feels his hand and says, “You?” And he nods. He says, “You can see now?” And she says, “Yes, I can see now.” They cut back to his face, and he lights up like you’ve never seen. That last line—“Yes, I can see now”—has so many meanings. It’s echoed in every great romantic movie since then and in every great moment of life. ”

Emma Stone In Andrew Gn - 85th Academy Awards Nominations Announcement

Emma Stone was joined by Seth MacFarlane in waking up at the crack of dawn to announce the 85th Academy Awards nominations at the AMPAS Samuel Goldwyn Theater in Beverly Hills, California today.

The actress channelled her inner Marilyn Monroe, wearing an Andrew Gn Spring 2013 dress.

Her ivory belted dress with a plunging neckline and artfully flared skirt was styled with retro waves and black Louboutin pumps.

I think this simple, elegant, ladylike look is very event appropriate.

This look couldn’t have been more perfect if she’d tried.

Emma Stone In J Mendel - The Tonight Show with Jay Leno

Following her appearance on the red carpet for the LA premiere of ‘Gangster Squad’, Emma Stone dropped by the NBC studios in Burbank, California for a guest appearance on ‘The Tonight Show with Jay Leno’ to continue her promotional duties.

It was all red on Monday night, but on Tuesday she opted for black, wearing a J. Mendel Pre-Fall 2013 LBD with cut-out details and a central slit.

The only pop of colour comes from her lips and sadly not her hair. I know she’s a natural blonde, but I’m longing for her to return to the flame-coloured locks. The blonde isn’t as fresh as it appeared last year.

Emma’s chic dress was styled with Christian Louboutin pumps and Tiffany & Co jewels.

Who Wore Rochas Better Emma Stone or Anna Dello Russo

Usually Anna Dello Russo gets her hands on runway pieces first but on this occasion Emma Stone beat her to the punch.

The blonde actress was the first to wear this brown Rochas Fall 2012 dress to ‘The Amazing Spider-Man’ Tokyo premiere back in June.

Her drop-waist dress with a puffy skirt was styled with cute Christian Louboutin ‘Love Me Bow’ heels and a rolled updo.

Anna wore her dress to the Miu Miu Spring 2013 presentation during Paris Fashion Week back in October.

The editor-at-large of Vogue Nippon styled her brown dress with aqua-blue accessories including Miu Miu booties, Anna Dello Russo for H&M earrings and a croc bag by Brazilian designer Paula Cademartori.

Emma wins for me as I prefer her softer approach to styling this look.
