Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Emily Blunt was in London this weekend to attend to the premiere of her latest movie, “Gnomeo and Juliet.”

She wore a lovely Andrew Gn Spring 2011 long sleeved dress with laser cut floral accents, but that was the only thing I liked about her look.

The styling is really bad.

There is nothing wrong with wearing Spring looks in Fall, but Emily added heavy black tights and unimpressive heels which made the look feel very heavy when it should feel easy and light.

I’m also not very excited about her new hair colour. I much prefer her as a brunette.

Emily Blunt attended the LA Premiere of her new movie “Gnomeo & Juliet” this weekend.

“The Devil Wears Prada” actress opted for a very pretty Zac Posen Resort 2011 dress.

Her white chiffon dress is beautifully floaty and feminine, but I would’ve preferred her to wear Look 4 which has a lot more texture and detail.

What brings down this look is Emily’s hair. Unfortunately it ages her drastically.

A more modern look would’ve lifted this look considerably.

Nude Jimmy Choo ‘Quiet’ patent peep-toes completed her look.

Emily Blunt was one of the presenters last night at the 2011 Critics’ Choice Awards.

She wore an Azzaro Spring 2011 gown.

The dress is the longer version of a similar dress which Michelle Williams wore last year.

Her sleeveless Azzaro gown has a beautiful embellished bodice and a sleek black skirt.

My favorite part of the gown is the cute velvet bow at the waist and the sexy cut-out on the sides.

She completed her look with soft curls, Chopard jewels and a satin Ferragamo clutch.

Emily Blunt took the red carpet on Saturday for the “Gulliver’s Travels” LA Premiere which co-stars Jack Black.

The British actress wore her second Roksanda Ilincic Fall 2009 look in a row.

On this occasion Emily wore a colour-block dress with a turquoise top, nude skirt and purple waistband.

Despite the summery nature of this dress, it’s doesn’t feel too out of place on a warm LA day during December.

British actress Emily Blunt joined in the fun at the 2010 Hollywood Style Awards which took place at the Hammer Museum in Westwood, California this weekend.

She opted to wear a dress by British based designer, Roksanda Ilincic.

The LBD with a twist has structured cap sleeves, shiny polka dot details and is decorated with black ribbon bows around the neckline.

Her all black look continued with a black woven clutch and black ribbon sandals.

I love the structure and details of this look. It works perfectly, but as always I crave a pop of colour.

Emily Blunt looks breath-taking on the January 2011 cover of Harper’s Bazaar UK wearing an electric blue embroidered silk dress by Tom Ford.

The rest of her editorial which was shot by Paola Kudacki sees her wearing more Spring 2011 looks including a two tone Gucci dress, an orange Haider Ackermann dress, a tangerine YSL jumpsuit and another dress by Tom Ford.

The full feature appears in the January issue of Harper’s Bazaar UK which is on sale December 6, but here are some extracts from her interview.

On adjusting to fame: “I used to look like a deer in headlights on the red carpet. You step out of the car and it’s bedlam. Everyone’s got crazy eyes. Now, I have a martini before I leave – just to take the edge off it.” Read more…

Prior to the 2010 Emmy Awards, “Perry Ellis and Vanity Fair” held a party at the Chateau Marmont in LA to celebrate the cast of “The Office” who were nominated for “Outstanding Comedy Series” which they eventually lost out to “Modern Family”.

John Krasinski was of course there and he brought along his lovely wife Emily Blunt.

Unfortunately there is only a cropped picture of the actress, but since I love Giambattista Valli I was still able to make out her strapless Pre-Fall 2010 black and white dress which is embellished with stones and feathers.

As the picture is cropped I have to reconstruct the rest of the look in my mind.

I’m thinking no tights and anyone of these heels.
