Elizabeth Banks In Roland Mouret – 2013 White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner

Elizabeth Banks In Roland Mouret - 2013 White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner

I was very disappointed by Elizabeth Banks, who took to the red carpet on Saturday for the 2013 White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner in Washington D.C.

It has a lot to do with the colour of her Roland Mouret ‘Lynon’ gown plus the styling was pretty lackluster.

I don’t like that she opted for this rust-coloured gown, which is so close to her hair colour.

This gown would’ve been better in any other colour. In some of the pictures she also looks washed out.

The halter gown with an open back and black ribbon detailing was styled with black Brian Atwood ‘Hamper’ pumps, a black Edie Parker ‘Jean’ clutch, Irene Neuwirth earrings and a simple updo.

Elizabeth Banks In Roland Mouret – 2013 CinemaCon Awards

Elizabeth Banks In Roland Mouret - 2013 CinemaCon Awards

Elizabeth Banks attended the CinemaCon awards ceremony held at the Pure Nightclub at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, Nevada, where she was the recipient of the ‘Award of Excellence in Acting’.

She looked gorgeous wearing a Roland Mouret ‘Avalon’ Resort 2013 dress, which was presented in a sand-and-green colourway in the look book.

Her black dress, featuring a nude silk skirt with black floral lace and mesh overlay, a cowl neckline and an origami pleated bust, was simply styled with black pumps and H.Stern ‘Zephyr’ earrings in 18k noble gold with diamonds.

Once again, simple styling was the key to making this chic look work.

Elizabeth Banks In Alexander McQueen – 2013 Vanity Fair Party

Elizabeth Banks In Alexander McQueen

Elizabeth Banks was one of the many stars to attend the 2013 Vanity Fair Oscars party, hosted on Sunday evening at the Sunset Tower in Hollywood.

The ‘The Hunger Games’ actress wore a bold Alexander McQueen gown, Brian Atwood shoes, Dior jewels and an Alexander McQueen clutch.

The vibrant orange gown makes Elizabeth look fun and fresh and she pulls of the low-cut bodice well.

Unfortunately, the star’s hair is entirely too otherworldly for my taste. The height of the pouf just looks silly, instead of finishing her look off strong.

What do you think? Is this look a win, or does the hair detract from the gorgeous gown?

Elizabeth Banks In Trina Turk – March of Dimes Celebration Of Babies Luncheon

The funny and fabulous actress Elizabeth Banks channelled the ‘Mad Men’ look on the red carpet for the March of Dimes Celebration of Babies in Beverly Hills, California on Friday evening.

Dressed in an eggplant-hued dress by Trina Turk, the actress looked seasonally stylish thanks to her dress’s subtle, vintage-inspired print and the sex appeal of her classic black peep-toes.

Elizabeth’s soft updo and minimal accessories really highlight the old-world elegance of her aubergine-tinted frock.

We would love to have seen a neat belt cinch Elizabeth’s tiny waist, but overall this look is a total win.

The best part? Elizabeth is totally chic for a great cause!

Elizabeth Banks In Rachel Zoe – Hollywood Reporter’s 21st Annual Women In Entertainment Breakfast

Elizabeth Banks arrived bright-eyed and bushy-tailed at the early-morning Hollywood Reporter “Power 100: Women in Entertainment” breakfast in Beverly Hills on Wednesday.

Banksy, as she’s affectionately referred to by friends, was particularly chic in a Rachel Zoe Pre-fall 2013 boat-neck black number and Prada Spring 2013 peep-toe platforms.

The dress’ leotard-like scoop back and bracelet sleeves, combined with the comedian’s graceful posture, channeled Degas ballerina, while her swept-back bouffant and irreverent daisy-print-decorated feet were reminiscent of a martini-sipping hostess straight out of Mad Men.

Kohl-rimmed eyes made Elizabeth’s baby blues pop, and I wouldn’t mind overhearing which night cream she uses to keep her complexion so flawlessly line-free.
