Best Dressed Male 2015 – Eddie Redmayne

Four is the new magic number for Eddie Redmayne, as the British actor has been our best-dressed male now for the fourth year running.

It’s because he checks all the boxes when it comes to good style, boasting an unmatched combination of adorableness, handsomeness, and sartorial sharpness.

His heartthrob grin and endearing boyish features are only magnified and refined by his wardrobe.

He truly represents what it means for the man to wear the clothes—and not the other way around—as he projects an enviable sense of ease and effortlessness that all men could learn from, from his Ralph Lauren Purple Label cream linen, double-breasted suit to the most snappy, polished black tuxedos imaginable.

The Brit always stands out from the crowd in menswear roundups, and one of his most recent sartorial endeavors shows exactly why. The power of red and black plaid was not lost on him in a Valentino suit that few could wear with such dapper flair—standing shoulders above the rest with the bold-natured look.

Eddie Redmayne In Valentino – ‘The Danish Girl’ London Premiere

Eddie Redmayne In Valentino - 'The Danish Girl' London Premiere

Eddie Redmayne attended the premiere of ‘The Danish Girl’ on Tuesday (December 8) in London with his gorgeous wife Hannah Bagshawe.

The couple served up a Valentino double.

She looked lovely wearing a semi-sheer Resort 2016 gown, while he was looking as dapper as ever upholding his usual sartorial standard wearing a red and black suit flushed in check plaid.

You have been vocal about Jenna Dewan-Tatum and Elsa Pataky’s scene-stealing, plus one looks this week, however, there was never any chance of Hannah upstaging her man who is known for his superior red carpet dressing.

Menswear Red Carpet Roundup

Menswear Red Carpet Roundup

Here is a roundup of menswear looks which caught my eye on the red carpet from this weekend.

Nick Jonas: The singer wore two shades of grey donning a Topman wool suit styled with a turtleneck. Its an interesting look, but appears to be quite a warm for the AMAs.

Eddie Redmayne: It has been a while since we last saw a man in plaid on the red carpet, so welcome back Eddie Redmayne. The British actor wore a Gucci navy and burgundy plaid suit with a blue knit tie complementing his blue suede shoes for ‘The Danish Girl’ LA premiere. Good to see he hasn’t lost his sartorial style and exceptional presentational skills.

Harry Styles: Of all the One Direction lads, I was instantly drawn to Harry Styles. As you know, I love it when guys opt for interesting looks, and this Gucci Spring 2016 suit certainly fits in that category. My issue is the cut of the suit feels rather feminine so in this case it didn’t work for him, for me.

Menswear Weekend Red Carpet Roundup

menswear 15 sept

The weekend was none too short on solid menswear looks from actors who took to the 2015 Toronto International Film Festival in Toronto, Canada.

Tom Hiddleston: Three was his lucky number this past weekend, as the handsome British actor attended a trio of events including the ‘I Saw The Light’ Cast Party at F-Stop on Friday (September 11) followed by EW’s Must List Party at the Thompson Hotel on Saturday and finally the ‘High Rise’ premiere at The Elgin on Sunday. In a totally handsome three-peat, he exclusively wore suits by Polo Ralph Lauren to mighty fine effect. I love how each of his looks were consistently sharp and well-tailored while being different enough to avoid boredom. I thought the three-piece navy pinstripe suit with the lavender shirt was my favourite, but now that double-breasted, windowpane suit matched with a piercing baby-blue shirt is calling my name, too.

Menswear Red Carpet Roundup

men 1

With the GQ Men of the Year Awards as well as a few other key premieres, the men have made a fine showing the past few days. Here, a look at their ensembles.

David Gandy: Forever cutting a striking profile, David showed us all how a classic tux should be worn at the GQ Men of the Year Awards at The Royal Opera House in London, England on Tuesday (September 8).

Jake Gyllenhaal: The double-breasted coat isn’t always easy to wear, but Jake pulls it off in this head-to-toe Salvatore Ferragamo ensemble at the ‘Everest’ premiere at the TCL Chinese 6 Theatres in Los Angeles, California on Wednesday (September 9). The baby-blue shirt, which reflected his eyes, was the best decision here.

Samuel L. Jackson: Acting as host of the GQ Men of the Year Awards, the actor was debonair in a polished Giorgio Armani head-to-toe look. I loved the monochromatic nature of the ensemble elevated by the slight contrast of the satin lapels and metallic bow tie.
