Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Diane Kruger really couldn’t be more chic if she tried. The German actress and former model has a body made for fashion, and she works each and every angle to brilliant effect, continuously sending out waves of shock and awe.

She is Miss Consistency, always dressing to perfection in the hottest labels, including Azzedine Alaia, Lanvin, Marchesa, Prabal Gurung, Prada and Chanel (she’s a brand ambassador), whether she’s on the red carpet, at a glittery benefit or a launch event.

This overachieving star has picked up another crown though, too, as the Film Festival Queen of 2012, trotting out trendsetting excitement at every turn.

She was indeed Cannes royalty this past year with one lusciously glam and deliciously daring look after the next from Christian Dior Couture, Giambattista Valli Couture, Nina Ricci and Vivienne Westwood (a VW rose-gold sequin gown was her most phenomenal entrance).

Diane’s wardrobe weapons of choice are unquestionably avant-garde, style-forward creations, ripped from the hautest runways of New York, Paris and Milan. And she generally looks every bit as good as the models who first debuted the designs—if not better.

But don’t for a minute think that she is content to rest on her past fashion wins.

This hip beauty usually has a surprise up her sleeve and has time and again proven she’s not afraid to experiment, playing with looks that range from ladylike to androgynous, loose-fitting to figure-flattering, covered-up to barely there, and everything in between.

She just usually happens to gamble well in her high-stakes style game.

Diane Kruger was back out on the red carpet again last night, attending the Museum of Modern Art’s Film Benefit honouring Quentin Tarantino at MOMA in New York City.

The actress wore one of her favourite designers – Prabal Gurung.

Her Spring 2013 chiffon evening gown features a two-tone sporty crisscross neckline and all-over delicate tiered ruffle detail for an ultra-feminine look.

Diane wore a wider version of the runway white leather belt, featuring a mirrored plate which adds an edges.

Beauty-wise, the fresh-faced star opted for neutral makeup and tumbling blonde waves.

The finishing touches were provided via her Brian Atwood blush satin ‘Karin’ sandals, Crow’s Nest Fine jewelry and a Charlotte Olympia ‘Domino Pandora’ clutch, which we’ve also seen in black carried by Rachel Weisz.

I love that Diane has given us two totally different BDOTW-worthy looks this week and it’s only Tuesday. The Prabal gown is my favourite of the two.

Joshua Jackson and Diane Kruger posed together on the red carpet while attending ‘Fringe’ celebrates 100 episodes and the final season at Fairmont Pacific Rim in Vancouver, Canada on Saturday evening.

While he was sporting a casual look, Diane opted for a sexy secretary look by Altuzarra.

This Fall 2012 dress with a, side slit, crewneck collar with white tie detail and embossed gold-tone buttons is a modern take on the timeless LBD.

Keeping the rest of her look simple, Diane added black patent leather Manolo Blahnik ‘Fallo’ pumps, while styling her hair into a simple centre-parted ponytail.

You may remember that Salma Hayek was the first to wear this sexy dress on Good Morning America back in June this year.

Just when some of us were about to hit the snooze button on Diane Kruger, she made a splendid return to the red carpet yesterday evening for The Hollywood Foreign Press Association And InStyle Miss Golden Globe 2013 Party held at Cecconi’s Restaurant in California.

The actress wore a Rochas Spring 2013 look.

Made of two parts, the look features a cropped black blouse with white buttons and a voluminous pocketed ball skirt with a thin white leather belt.

While the hair looks a bit straggly, I can totally forgive this misstep as she styled her look perfectly with Chanel black-and-white bow-front ankle boots, which are also a favourite of fellow Chanel ambassador, Alexa Chung.

Yay or nay on the crop top?

Diane Kruger attended an illumination ceremony on Avenue des Champs-Élysées in Paris, France yesterday, where she officially turned on the Christmas lights on the iconic Parisian avenue.

Wearing a Parisian brand, Diane kept warm wearing a Lanvin Fall 2012 dress.

Her gold-and-black crinkle-effect silk lamé dress was given an edge with a Lanvin brown braided belt with a roaring tiger’s head.

Black over-the-knee Brian Atwood ‘David’ boots and a black turtleneck provided the finishing touches.

I loved everything about this look until I got to the milkmaid braids.

Diane Kruger was seen at the ‘Place Vendome’ this evening in Paris, France for the Jaeger-LeCoultre Place Vendome Boutique Opening.

The German actress wore a navy lace belted jumpsuit by her favourite designer, Jason Wu.

Diane arrived wearing an animal print fur coat with her luxe Spring 2013 look, but removed it once inside.

She accessorized with black Giuseppe Zanotti sandals and a black Jason Wu ‘Karlie’ clutch with three crystallized stars.

Red lips and a 40s victory rolls hairdo completed her outfit.

We gave Diane a universal thumbs down for her last look, so how does this one fare for you?
