“Inglourious Basterds” Premiere

I can’t believe I missed this one yesterday.

Isabelle Huppert must have stunned the crowds arriving in a Louis Vuitton Fall 2009 LBD, which some may mistake as a bin liner.

I said from the very first day, when the judges were unveiled, that she was the feisty one of the group, and some of her choices, this one especially, prove that. This is a tough dress to pull off, but I think she does. She has the right attitude.

Her dress was worn with black velvet heels from the same collection.

“Broken Embraces” Photo Call

Penelope Cruz and director Pedro Almodovar arrived at the photocall glued to the hip, as always.

He wore a Missoni sweater, whilst she wore a figure-hugging, nude Dolce & Gabbana strapless dress, which were paired with matching peep-toes.

For those who were speculating that she’s pregnant, I’m not so sure.

“Paris, Not France” Cocktail Party

Despite not seeming to have anything to promote at Cannes, Paris Hilton is determined to be the belle of the ball.

At a cocktail party thrown in her honour, she showed off her billowing, Roberto Cavalli floral chiffon maxi dress.

She wasn’t content with the dress being enough of a statement, she also added a diamante headband, a huge silver necklace, and multiple bracelets to complete her look.

She is obsessed with headbands at the moment.

“Inglourious Basterds” Photo Call

Diane Kruger wore a simple strapless vintage Chanel LBD to this photocall, with black peep-toes.

“Wild Grass” Premiere

We have seen many re-runs at Cannes Film Festival, but not by the same person.

Carine Roitfeld wears the same Balmain Spring 2009 ensemble, she wore to an event back in September.

I guess she is saving the wow factor for tonight’s amfAR’s Cinema Against AIDS Benefit.

Anne Consigny wears a fruity Valentino Spring 2009 Couture sleeveless dress, with a floral detail hem.

I secretly knew she wouldn’t let me down, thats 3 years in a row she’s wowed at Cannes.

Angelina Jolie walked the red carpet in not only colour, but this season colour - nude.

Her chiffon one-sleeved Versace Fall 2008 gown is so beautiful, delicate and feminine, yet she’s still exudes her usual sex appeal.

Those famous full lips are red divine, and her look is complete with champagne heels.

This is definitely one of her best looks to date.

Diane Kruger was equally radiant, if not more so than Angelina.

The stunning actress walked the red carpet in a custom made ivory silk chiffon Marchesa gown with flutter sleeves.

I love the cowl back dress, with silver floral embroidered detail.

The side swept bun, and simple diamonds quietly scream elegance.

Best Dressed of The Week just became even harder.

Elsa Pataky swept the red carpet with her black Elie Saab Spring 2009 Couture strapless gown.

Elsa likes to be a sex kitten on the red carpet, but with a few diamonds here and there, and her hair pulled back she looks very demure.

I would’ve loved to have seen her in another colour gown, as she wore black to the Chopard “Cascade” perfume launch.

Asia Argento plays the femme fatale wearing a bold Armani Prive Spring 2009 strapless gown, with a blood red fringed skirt.

She paired her devilish look with matching shoes, and bright red lipstick for an eye-catching pout.

I’m surprised to say that I kinda like Sharon Stone in this Balmain Fall 2009 gown.

It shows off her body, which looks amazing and she’s not wearing some tacky animal print which she’s usually so fond of.

For once Sharon, I don’t hate.

I’m happy to see Dita von Teese wearing something from the Christian Dior Spring 2009 Couture collection, but I’m disappointed she didn’t pick one of the more colourful risky pieces.

I hope those gowns aren’t destined to only be editorial gowns.

Dita wore her one-shouldered dress with a red clutch, to match her perfect pout. Cute, but safe for Dita.

Emma de Caunes also opted for a black Elie Saab dress, but her embellished cocktail dress was from the Fall 2009 collection.

Judge Shu Qi looked angelic wearing a white Roberto Cavalli Spring 2009 gown, which had a gold chain detail embellishing the trim of the bodice.

German actress Jana Pallaske wore an eventful Paule Ka Spring 2009 strapless dress on the red carpet, with bandage straps, black contrasting bodice, and feathered hem.

There’s a lot going on, but it’s fun and fruity.

French actress Frédérique Bel also opted for a Paule Ka Spring 2009 creation.

Hers was less cutesy, and more risqué with the cut-out panel showing off her toned abs.

Natasha Poly’s Roberto Cavalli Spring 2009 strapless black and grey gown has plenty of frou frou in the skirt with the ruffles and tulle layers.

In this supermodel face-off Natasha’s soft make-up and sultry smile wins me over.

Robin Wright Penn opts for her second Narciso Rodriguez gown of Cannes Film Festival.

This time it’s refreshing white crepe gown, with sleek lines to give her a beautiful silhouette.

Michelle Yeoh opted for a beige strapless Roberto Cavalli gown, with stunning gold accessories to compliment the gold embroidered details on her bodice.

I’ve never been a fan of Joss Stone’s style. She over did the hippy maxi look, but here she opts for a yellow haltered dress, which does nothing for her.

Her yellow dress was paired with green heels, with a pink tip. !?!?!?

Woohoo. She’s arrived.

Last night Diane Kruger attended a press conference during Cannes Film Festival, for the animated movie Lascars, and she’s already giving us high fashion.

She wore a short pink Lanvin dress with puff sleeves, tights and Stuart Weitzman ‘Jardin’ T-Strap sandals.

This dress was originally presented as at top on the runway. Maybe that’s because it was too short to be considered a dress.

I’m not crazy about Diane’s shoe choice, and the tights I get, because of the length of the skirt, but the angle of the picture ruins this a bit for me, because I can see the inside lining of the dress.

Magnifique. Très bon.

Marion Cotillard gives me my first set of goosebumps of the night wearing a blush pink Christian Dior strapless gown, with an embellished criss cross detail. The dress is so buttery and luscious I’m melting.

Her hair is perfectly coiffed, make-up barely there, head to toe perfection, minus the rain that soaked her hem.

Early days, but I think I have my Best Dressed of the night.

Love dress, the shoes, the big bouffant hair and the attitude.

I was half expecting Anne Hathaway to turn up in a gown, but this cute violet Marc Jacobs Fall 2009 strapless number is cute, sassy, and totally unexpected.

Her look is completed with Pour La Victoire metallic Bethanie strappy platform sandals.

Wow, a Blake Lively look I like.

The Gossip Girl actress wore a one-sleeved chiffon Versace Fall 2009 teal gown, with a thigh high split, and gold strappy heels.

She maybe pushing the sexy envelope too far, but she’s working the hell out of this dress.

Ashely Olsen wore an ice white The Row gown, with a cowl back, which is oversized -as we would expect- but very elegant on her.

It’s a cold and rainy night in New York, so one can forgive Jessica Alba’s tights, because her strapless cobalt blue mini Jason Wu dress with an embellished bodice is quite exquisite.

Kate Beckinsale always brings the drama. She loves a big gown, and it doesn’t get much bigger than this Marchesa Fall 2009 gown.

What you may not see on the embroidered midnight blue ruffle tulle tank dress, is the crystal embellishments all over the skirt of the gown.

I don’t love Eva Mendes’ gown shimmering Calvin Klein gown, but I don’t hate it either.

Had this been the Oscars or the Golden Globes, I would have been bitterly disappointed, but as the campaign girl for a brand that produces minimalist clothes, we shouldn’t have expected too much glamour.

It doesn’t exceed expectations, and it doesn’t disappoint, but Eva sparkle is missing.

How does she do it?

How does Kate Moss arrive at this event wearing a turban, and still hit HOT?

Milliner Stephen Jones designed the metallic turban, which is not going to be to everyone’s liking, but I love it.

It truly was a risk that paid off.

The supermodel is wearing gold lamé Marc Jacobs asymmetrical dress, which shows off her stunning pins, with matching gold lame heel.

Matchy matchy never looked so good.

Bar Refaeli showed off those impossibly long legs, wearing an asymmetrical organza pleated strapless Marchesa dress, with embroidered detail on the bust.

Matching Louboutin’s complete the look.

Outstanding.

I’m so glad Diane Kruger didn’t wear this Chanel Spring 2009 Couture white mini dress with floral appliqué’s, as it was presented the runway.

I’m not so crazy about the black heels, but other than that she looks fantastic, giving the look a youthful, girlie quality.

As Uncle Karl is not there, her beau Joshua Jackson walked the red carpet with her.

The Hermitage 20/21 Dinner, London

Oh Dasha Zhukova, Best Dressed Of The Week was going to be difficult enough without you arriving at this event looking spectacular.

The Russian beauty wore a two tone Lanvin Spring 2009 strapless bustier dress, with a gathered skirt, which Claire Danes wore to the 2009 Film Independent Spirit Awards.

Champagne heels complete the look.

Tribeca Film Festival Chanel Dinner

Silver harem pants, and a black turtle neck on some would look tragic.

On Diane Kruger? Magnificent.

I’m not even going to attempt this look, as she owns it.

Debra Messing on the other hand, doesn’t have my admiration. Instead I will give her my pity.

Nothing good is happening from the neck down.

Mary-Kate Olsen wore a loose, beaded tunic dress, which one would assume is vintage, but it’s actually from Nina Ricci’sFall 2009 collection.

LOVE the nude make-up, and the way she accessorized with a thick black and gold belt, to give the dress shape.

She added a pop of red via her Nancy Gonzalez clutch.

Kerry Washington opted for a classic tweed Chanel Spring 2009 boat neck dress, with a silver clutch and eggplant heels.

“Obsessed” Screening, New York

I love the detail of the origami folds on Ali Larter’s strapless cream satin Blumarine Fall 2009 dress, plus her Balenciaga strappy sandals, but the hair ruins everything.

Tous Boutique Opening, Barcelona

Kylie arrived at the Tous boutique opening in Barcelona, wearing in a floor-sweeping, black strapless Herve Leger dress with white stripes at the bust for a maritime-inspired look.

Diane Kruger was the Best Dressed at this event wearing a Marchesa Fall 2009 asymmetrical dress.

She’s beautiful, but the dress is exquisite. I love the feathered flower details cascading down the shoulder, and on the skirt of this lilac tulle draped dress.

I love how her hair is pulled back, so we get to see the stunning details on her dress.

The actress completes her look with Fendi bow-front peep-toes, and an Alexander McQueen box clutch.

This is the first Runway to Red Carpet I’ve done using my own runway picture. I took the picture of the model when I attended the Marchesa Fall 2009 presentation back in February during New York Fashion Week.

There was a time when Emmy Rossum was forever the prom-queen, but this delicate baby blue Christian Dior Resort 2009 gown is simply perfect for the occasion.

The breath-taking tiered gown, with an embellished waist band is so ethereal, so dreamy, and so magical.

Again I’m loving the hair pulled back with a single braid, and the icy accessories compliment the gown so well.

I don’t know what I am lusting over more. Joy Bryant’s Zac Posen Fall 2009 floaty floral dress, or her metallic ankle strap heels from the same collection.

Does this woman ever have a day off looking fabulous? This is just so easy for her, and she’s still not wearing any make-up on the red carpet.

Spanish supermodel Eugenia Silva sparkled in her golden sequined Giorgio Armani Spring 2009 gown.

When you are this beautiful, you don’t need many accessories, just a gorgeous dress, and a megawatt smile.

The only watchable thing about The City is Olivia Palermo, and her bitchy evil ways. What I can’t bare to look at, is her in this Zac Posen gown.

Talk about unflattering. There are so many dresses that would have worked from the Zac Posen Spring 2009 collection, but she picked a dress which makes her look like a kid playing dress up in mummy’s clothes.

Socialite Poppy Delevigne wore a taupe flapper style Alberta Ferretti Spring 2009 dress, which has also been worn by Shenae Grimes and Mischa Barton.

Poppy’s version is modified from the runway, with a plunging-neckline making it much sexier.

Her look was completed with a leather biker jacket, and a pair of lavender Jimmy Choo satin diamante platform sandals.

Rachel Roy looks chic in a coral long-sleeved dress, which of course is her own design.

I just love how those turquoise earrings pop.

OK, the red hair was cute at first, but I am wishing Coco Rocha’s would return to her dark roots. I really dislike the disheveled way she is styled here.

I’m equally not enthused about her black and white geometric print Zac Posen Spring 2009 dress. It’s not an easy dress to pull off, and I think Coco fails terribly.

I’m not against fur like the stole Drew Barrymore wore yesterday, but when it looks like an animals tail, like Maggie Rizer’s, it gives me the creeps.

What I don’t understand is why the stole in the first instance? It’s wrapped around Maggie in the place where the most detail of this Emanuel Ungaro Fall 2008 gown is.

Dayssi Olarte de Kanavos looked delightful in this one-shouldered lavender print Emanuel Ungaro Resort 2009 gown.
