Diane Kruger channeled her inner Karl Lagerfeld as she arrived at the Melbourne premiere of “Inglourious Basterds” wearing a Chanel ensemble including Uncle Karl’s trademark stiff collared shirt.

The rest of her look included a black tapered pants, braces, Christian Louboutin Mary Janes, and a black embellished bow.

Diane loves black bows. She’s worn them on the red carpet many times before.

Her masculine look is made oh so feminine with her hair styled in a classic up do.

I wonder if she can win Best Dressed of The Week with this look.

Vogue Australia 50th Anniversary Dinner, Syndey

Unfortunately we didn’t get any dramatic looks, no picks from our Red Carpet Wish lists and no couture from Cate Blanchett at this event, but regardless it’s always a treat to see her on the red carpet.

She looks outstanding wearing a burnt orange long sleeved vintage Ossie Clark gown with an ivory necklace.

“A Streetcar Named Desire” Press Night, London

Rachel Weisz wore an animal print Isabel Marant Fall 2009 sheer with black peep-toes accented with a gold floral detail.

Although I’m not crazy about the detail on her shoes, I adore her dress, even though it’s showing us her bra.

Isabel Marant make such fabulous pieces.  I hope we see more celebrities wearing their pieces in future.

Out & About, Berlin

Even when she’s out shopping in Berlin, Diane Kruger is still incredibly stylish.

The German actress wore a Stella McCartney Resort 2010 ensemble which included a yellow tank top she wore off-the-shoulder, with a blue striped tulip skirt.

She added flats and a white Chanel quilted bag to complete her ‘off-duty’ look.

I adore her skirt. Another piece added to my never-ending wish list.

X-Games “Red Bull Toasted” Honors Action Sports Icon Travis Pastrana, LA

A LBD as short and tight as this can go so wrong, but I think Audrina Patridge looks amazing in this Michelle Mason Spring 2009 dress.

She’s starting to come into her own now that she’s no longer in Lauren’s shadow.

“Taking Woodstock” New York Premiere

With her long wavy hair falling down her shoulders, Claire Danes wore a blue silk Sonia Rykiel Resort 2010 wrap dress with delicate ruffles.

Her dress is longer than the runway version, which I can’t say I’m surprised about considering we’re talking about Claire Danes.

In keeping with her usual simple style, she only added a platinum bracelet and strappy heels to complete her look.

Lynn Collins has finally been weened off wearing top hats to every red carpet appearance, but she’s replaced that look with a headband.

Wearing a Kova & T green mini dress and nude Brian Atwood Katie Bis sandals I would say her look was great had it not been for the over excessive bronzing.

Dolce & Gabbana: The Make Up Selfridges Launch, London

So now all those Scarlett Johansson posters in Selfridges yesterday make sense, they were prepping for Scarlett’s Dolce & Gabbana make-up launch.

The actress looked very sophisticated and refined in her Dolce & Gabbana ensemble. I especially love her floral flutter sleeve blouse and orange sorbet peep-toes, but I’m still struggling with the hair.

I do usually love Scarlett wearing bold red lips, but I don’t think it quite works with her ensemble.

“JLo for Yamamay” Collection Launch, Rome

Jennifer Lopez was in Rome yesterday to promote her new underwear collection.

The actress wore an ivory chiffon gown with an embellished neckline and a matching Alaia waist belt.

She carried a glittering silver Swarovski clutch which sparkled like her jeweled T-bar sandals.

Her locks were have been lighten with some blonde streaks which I’m not particularly fond of.

How many of you feel like you have seen this look many times before?

Mont Blanc, Austria

Dita von Teese wore a traditional Austrian dirndl while at the Mont Blanc boutique in Salzburg.

It would’ve been great if she’d changed her hairstyle just this once to really get into the spirit of things.

2009 Salzburg Festival - ‘Welcome to Nowhere’ Premiere, Austria

This is the Dita von Teese we’re most used to seeing, looking glamorous wearing a Moschino cream tiered plisse chiffon gown.

AMC Cocktail Reception, LA

Christina Hendricks strikes a stunning pose wearing a emerald Catherine Malandrino pleated empire waist dress with ruffle sleeves.

Gold accessories complete this look.

January Jones wore an interesting sheer Sretsis dress with two diamante bow appliqués to cover her modesty.

I love her hairstyle. Tres chic.

July 29th, 2009

German actress Diane Kruger looked absolutely outstanding when she arrived on the red carpet in her native country to promote her new film “Inglourious Basterds”.

She injected some much needed glamour to the event by wearing a luxurious tea rose Hervé Léger by Max Azria Resort 2010 dress with square-cut shoulders, which showed off her toned legs.

Doesn’t she make you want to worked that much harder in pilates class?

Armlets, gold heels and a silver clutch completed the look, but I just love that pop of red on her lips. I also love her hair in preference to her London premiere hairstyle.

This is case and point when I say I love Hervé Léger depending on the wearer.

A reality TV star will wear the same brand tomorrow and I’ll want to burn every bandage dress in sight.

Earlier in the day Diane wore a fruity canary yellow Louis Vuitton Resort 2010 strapless dress with an oversized bow on the bodice and gold buttons which added a nautical feel to the dress.

She only accessorized with gold earrings, keeping her hair wavy and her make-up light and fresh.

This look feels a lot more casual to her premiere dress, but it’s just as chic.

July 23rd, 2009

It had quieten down for a while, but it looks like Balamainia is far from over.

Diane Kruger walked the red carpet tonight wearing a strapless sweetheart neckline Balmain Fall 2009 trademark mini dress with a cute ruffled skirt, for the “Inglourious Basterds” premiere in London’s Leicester Square.

It’s been a miserable day in London today with on and off rain, but that didn’t stop the German actress from wearing this short sassy black suede number.

I love the thinner bejeweled belt, the way the dress sits higher on her than the model, and her sexy slick backed hair.

She really got into the spirit of the sexy rock chic glamour which each Christophe Decarnin piece oozes.

Regular readers will also recognise the Christian Louboutin Very Prive studded peep-toe pumps Diane’s wearing, as I featured them on my blog a week ago.

I wondered who would be the first to wear what could be the new celebrity “IT” shoe.

Your guesses ranged from Rihanna, Megan Fox, Kim Kardashian and Beyonce, but Diane trumped them all.

Before you ask she’s definitely up for Best Dressed this week, and Brad and Angelina don’t appear to be at this premiere.

Escada Spring 2010 Presentation Berlin Fashion Week, Germany

Diane Kruger was back in her native country to attend the Escada Spring 2010 presentation.

The back drop and red carpet were both pink but in her stunning pink dress with a gathered detail on the hip, Diane still stands out.

Her dress was paired with nude strappy sandals and a silver clutch for an utterly feminine look.

Anja Gockel Spring 2010 Presentation Berlin Fashion Week, Germany

Earlier in the day Diane attended the Anja Gockel Spring 2010 presentation.

The actress dressed super causal but still managed to look incredibly chic mixing boho with utilitarian chic wearing a simple ivory crochet top with khaki cargo shorts.

Who would have thought cargo shorts could looks so sexy?

Tan sandals and a matching satchel complete the look.

Henley-on-Thames Royal Regatta, Oxfordshire

Regular readers will know I’m not a fan of Daisy Lowe and her “model” status, but I must admit I do like this cute look.

We’ve seen many white dresses on the red carpet during this summer season, so it’s no surprise Daisy’s picked this Christopher Kane scallop edge dress for this event.

She predictably gives her look an edgy with a leopard-print coat, plus a playful straw hat, oversized shades and nude Mary-Janes.

Naven And Boulee Fashion Event, LA

I adore Khloe Kardashian’s Naven skinny mini skirt. Mostly because of the colour, but also because of the way it gives her such a tiny defined waist.

She wears her skirt with a Boulee Resort 2009 bustier and Giuseppe Zanotti open-toe booties.

This has to be one of Khloe’s best looks.

10 Years Younger Live Photocall, London

Myleene Klass is back from the jungle where she was presenting the US version of “I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here.”

The presenter seems to have had some free time to sunbathe, as she is glowing with her golden tan which has brought out cut freckles on her nose.

Her tan is executed more wearing this green satin Banana Republic dress with a black patent belt.  Trib Two’s and a large silver flower ring complete the look.

BOSS Orange Spring 2010 Presentation - Berlin Fashion Week, Germany

Like Diane, Sienna Miller dressed to attend this show, but she is looks quite elegant plus she’s has a dewy natural glow.

I don’t think I have ever she her hair look so straight. She normally always has that just got out of bed scruffy look going on.

She wore pegged jeans and navy top teamed with super-cute grey heels.  The look just oozes easy breezy summer chic.

Variety Club Children’s Charity Party, London

We didn’t see Rachel Stevens on the red carpet for years, now she seems to be at every London event.

These Preen Power bandage dresses don’t seem to go out of style. They’ve been created in every colour under that rainbow and they’re still going strong.

Rachel paired her grey dress with a sleek black clutch and blue peep-toe shoe-boots.

“The Proposal” Germany Premiere

Sandra Bullock wore a loose taupe Halston wrap dress with an asymmetrical hem. Her dress is paired with a brown studded belt and Christian Louboutin ankle boots.

Not my favourite of all her looks as I wish to see a more vibrant colour on her.

Versace & Whitney Art Party with Starlight Foundation, New York

Donatella Versace attended this event wearing a black sheath dress with a aqua swoosh going across the bodice.

At first I thought it was a Jil Sander Fall 2009 dress, but Donatella surely only wears what she creates so I would guess she has taken a leaf out of Stella McCartney’s book and maybe giving us a preview for her upcoming collections.

We’ll have to wait and see.

Best Dressed Award
Zoe Saldana continues to impress me. “Star Trek” has push her in the limelight, but her great choices in on the red carpet increase her star status.

Take this Calvin Klein Resort 2010 grey dress for example. It was plain and quite boring on the runway, but Zoe brings it to life.

She makes it sexy and sassy without much effort.

Did It Hurt When You Fell From Heaven? Award
*Sighs*

Could Anja Rubik be anymore beautiful? Anja and Halle Berry should be allow to walk amongst us normal folk.

The stunning supermodel arriving looking angelic wearing a white Kaufman Franco Fall 2009 one-shouldered gown.

She wore the gown without it’s ruffled detail on the behind, which showed how dangerously low the dress was cut.

On some Megan Fox this would have been deemed trashy, but on Anja *sighs* just damn sexy.

Best Use of Colour Award
There’s always a 50/50 split when it comes to Blake Lively.

I hope when you see her looking drop dead gorgeous wearing this neon pink Michael Kors Fall 2009 strapless sheath dress, more of you will be swayed to liking her.

Her twins aren’t on display, she looks youthful, vibrant and sexy.

What’s not to love?

Best Modification Award
Jason Wu really understood his muse for the night, as he took this sophisticated business-like runway dress and turned it into a sexy mini for Diane Kruger.

Diane would look great in a bin liner lets face it, but the colour, length, fabric and embellished embroidered shoulders really looks amazing on her.

I hate to be picky but I really wish she would change her hairstyle more often. I feel like we see this style a lot.

Model Magic Award
Many of you who loved the Dolce & Gabbana Fall 2009 collection were non to happy when Rihanna arrived at the Met Gala wearing a black suit from the collection.

Molly Sims should bring that enthusiasm back because she looked so cute and playful wearing a Dolce & Gabbana Fall 2009 strapless dress, with a Marilyn Monroe print emblazoned on it.

Risk That Paid Off Award
This is a rare red carpet outing for Kirsten Dunst.

The actress always opts for bold pieces which don’t always work, but on this occasion she looks amazing.

Rodarte is never a safe choice. The pieces are bold, edgy and dynamic plus you need the right kind of attitude to pull a Rodarte piece off.

She totally does with grey Nicholas Kirkwood heels.

Most Theatrical Award
At first I really disliked Doutzen Kroes in this red Zac Posen gown, mostly because I thought it was too grand for her. Plus I’m so used to seeing her in Herve Leger I didn’t quite think it was her style.

Then I realised how much better the dress looks without the gold belt, and appreciated the way she had made an effort to make the gown work for her.

Best Vintage Award
As much as I appreciate the Olsen twins picking interesting vintage pieces, I would love to see them in something off-the-runway more often.

Ashley Olsen wore an orange vintage gown with gold leaf embroidery around the shoulders. Her look was complete with Van Cleef & Arpels jewels and Versace heels.

Some might say it’s a little too big for her. I would say it’s better than a bandage dress.

Glorious Glow Award
Even if Heidi Klum wasn’t pregnant and wearing a silver crushed lame Michael Kors asymmetrical mini dress, she would still glow. So these added elements only make her more beautiful.

Her silver Christian Louboutin Anthracite Ole Ole heels and clutch matched her dress, but it’s her earrings I’m drooling over.

Best Black Award
Claire Danes is never one I can get excited about on the red carpet, but I do love her quiet elegant style. Some would call it boring, for me is very understated.

The actress looked elegant wearing a black Narciso Rodriguez embroidered black silk crepe gown which was cut low at the front and open at the back.

Best Legs Award
Model Hilary Rhoda arrived wearing a gorgeous one-shouldered Calvin Klein dress which showed off how incredibly long her pins are.

If you got it flaunt it honey.

Her look was completed with her hair pulled back in a tight bun and a VBH clutch.

Stepping Out Of Her Comfort Zone Award
Maggie Grace is usually very boring on the red carpet, so imagine my surprise to see her wearing this Christian Siriano Spring 2009 grey ruffled confection.

Every time I see a variation of this dress on the red carpet it’s belted.

It would be nice to see it without a belt if its worn again in the future, but the belt does work for Maggie here.

Best Accessories Award
Stylist Rachel Zoe arrived wearing a Louis Vuitton peachy gown, which I first thought was a Marc Jacobs gown as it resembles the finale gowns that were presented in the Spring 2009 collection, but her twitter message confirm that it’s Louis Vuitton.

Her golden accessories including a Louis Vuitton clutch, vintage Chanel earrings, plus Yossi Harari rings and bracelets.

Simple Yet Always Elegant Award
Kerry Washington has opted for a lot of bold choices lately wearing Louis Vuitton edgy ensembles, so it’s nice to see her bring her look back to a softer more elegant style we usually associate her with.

Last night she glowed wearing a silverly grey Doo.Ri Resort 2010 sleeveless gown with a plunging neckline.

Her jewels were also simple and she opted for a matching silver Swarovski clutch.

Best Embellishments Award
Whist Melissa George’s Nicole Miller gown has no shape, I am totally captivated by the embroidered crystals on her strapless gown.  Exquisite.

Black to Black Award
Yes I’m referring to Coco Rocha hair, which she debut on her blog a few weeks ago.

The supermodel wore an asymmetrical Michael Kors red Resort 2010 slide dress with a black print.

Her look was paired with a gold cuff, black strappy sandals and a matching clutch.

The Wow Moment Award
Comedian Tracey Ullman really shocked me when I saw her in this glorious red Doo.Ri gown with an asymmetrical neckline.

I don’t think I have ever seen her look so fabulous.

No BoHo Award
Finally Whitney Port has ditched that hippy chick look, for a fresh sophisticated look wearing a Luca Luca Fall 2009 halter gown.

The draped silver beaded gown sparkled so beautifully. She really out did herself here. I’m totally wowed by her

May 22nd, 2009

Creating a sensation at the charity benefit, Diane Kruger looked outstanding in a white Chanel Spring 2009 Couture ensemble.

For me it doesn’t have the same impact as her Marchesa gown, which made my heart melt, but she still looks amazing.

I love the square shouldered cropped jacket, the cute black bow - which we know she loves - and the interesting shaped skirt, which reveals a lace lining.

A bejeweled clutch and Louboutin’s complete the look.

With so many great dresses this week, would it be fair to include both Diane’s looks in Best Dressed of the Week?

Only Dita von Teese can get away with wearing a Jean Paul Gaultier Spring 2009 Couture dress, with a transparent skirt, revealing her garter.

That’s because she oozes class and chic sophistication. I’m much more inspired by her in this dress, than her previous Dior Couture dress.

I love Marion Cotillard, and her association with Dior is a match made in heaven, but I would have loved something more dramatic from her.

Her pale blue Christian Dior Fall 2009 embroidered gown is gorgeous, as it brightens up her complexion.

You know saying, “Take one thing off before you leave the house”?

Well Paris Hilton should have taken off 3. The headband, the necklace and the bracelet.

Her Basil Soda Spring 2009 Couture gown is already dripping with embellishments around the waist, that she needn’t have over cooked it.

This gown is quite dark and dramatic for Paris. I’m surprised she didn’t pick something more sugary.

Donatella Versace’s modification on her Versace Fall 2009 cornflower blue gown are very subtle.

I prefer her softer blue strapless gown. The bodice is longer, plus it has a fuller skirt.

I’m a constant admirer of how immaculate she always looks.

Michelle Yeoh opted for a purple satin Atelier Versace Fall 2008 gown, with ruffled details on the shoulders, and an open back.

She kept her jewelery minimal, with a few diamonds on the bracelet and earrings.

All my diva’s are going red. First Coco Rocha, now Eva Green. Is red the new black?

I’ve love Eva since she first stepped on the red carpet. She’s such a daredevil when it come to fashion. But on this occasion not so much.

Don’t get me wrong, I love her fuschia pink Christian Dior Fall 2009 Indian inspired gown, with intricate embroidered details, but if ever their was someone to wear one of Dior’s Spring 2009 Couture ball gowns on the red carpet, this was our girl.

Elsa Pataky’s Armani Privé Fall 2008 black and white striped strapless gown, may look a bit tame from the front, but that’s because all the drama is at the back, as it gathers, then falls to a fishtail hem.

There would have been no prizes for guessing that Eva Herzigova would wear Dolce & Gabbana to this event. Much like her supermodel chum Claudia Schiffer.

Her Spring 2009 corseted red dress, had more sass than the runway version. Hers was strapless and shorter, to show off those impossibly long legs.

As much as Lily Cole is wearing a beautiful Emilio Pucci Fall 2009 strapless gown, she fails to excite.

Many of you have remarked that you would love for Georgina Chapman to modify her gowns, to make herself more individual, and stand out from the runway and her clients, like Donatella Versace.

Unfortunately she didn’t hear your pleas on this occasion, because she wore a gold lame Marchesa Spring 2009 asymmetrical gown, as it was presented on the runway, plus the gold Louboutin’s.

Whatever the weather, she always looks outstanding, and here is no exception.

It feels strange calling anything by Chanel casual, but Anna Mouglalis’ blood red Chanel Cruise 2010 satin dress, feels too casual for such an event.

Kudos to her for wearing a piece from this collection, which was only presented last Thursday.

Margherita Missoni represented her family brand in the way she always does, with style and grace.

Her lurex silvery blue Missoni Spring 2009 gown, with a gold waistband, is a modification of the strapless jumpsuit which was presented on the runway.

Her added gold jewelery, and a matching mini clutch were the perfect touches for added glamour.

L’Oreal girl Kerry Washington takes the baton for the final leg of Cannes Film Festival, after Elizabeth Banks, Aishwarya Rai, Eva Longoria, and Evangeline Lilly before represented the brand before her.

Kerry a vision, as always, wearing a strapless deco beaded Marchesa gown, with a gold Bally box clutch.

Hayden Panettiere arrived at this event wearing a gorgeous blush silk chiffon Marchesa dress with similar silver embroidered details to Diane Kruger’s Marchesa gown.

I love the dress, but even in this picture, it feels like the falling train is in the way.

Prior to this event, you would have seen Hayden sunbathing on a yacht, relaxing with friends and topping up her tan. Unfortunately it left unsightly tan lines.

I’m loving the vacation glow, but a hint of lippy would have worked wonders.

Zoe Saldana opted for a nude dress with a gathered detail on the hip, whilst she paired her look with copper accessories.

Sharon Stone has never looked better, but next time she should consider tanning her legs, before opting for a thigh high split. Her arm appears to be a different shade to her legs.

Despite all that the annual host for this event look magnificent wearing an asymmetrical Dior gown, with silver strappy Dior heels.

Claudia Schiffer stays faithful to her boys Dolce & Gabbana, wearing this tulle black bustier gown.

You’ll be happy to see that she’s keeping the bangs for now.

Zhang Ziyi’s ethereal nude gown is so delicious on her. The colour is exquisite, complimenting her skin tone.

Her hair was pulled back off her face to reveal a long earring, and a diamond stud. How very 80s Janet Jackson.

I’m not quite getting the wow factor from Carine Roitfeld, which I got last year, but she still looks fantastic wearing this white Givenchy Couture gown.

I’m wondering has anyone ever seen her with her hair up?

Rinko Kikuchi wears a grey ruffled Chanel Fall 2008 Couture dress, with really heavy clunky heels.

Shu Qi wears my least favourite gown of her Cannes experience.

All good runs come to a crashing end. Case in point Robin Wright Penn in this charcoal spaghetti strapped gown.
