Diane Kruger continued her impressive form on the red carpet last night at the “International Women’s Media Foundation’s Courage In Journalism Awards” in LA.

She was breath-taking wearing a silver satin strapless J.Mendel Spring 2010 dress with a structural cocoon skirt.

Her make-up was light, her hair was pulled back, but it was her clutch that really made a huge statement.

Her Lanvin Pop leopard clutch from the Spring 2009 collection is flashy but definitely not trashy.

Animal print can be questionable – just look at past looks of Sharon Stone for confirmation – but Alber Elbaz gave this wild look a fresh shade.

For the preview of the Jason Wu Spring 2010 collection many of Hollywood’s hot young things attended.

Who needs fit models when you have beautiful actresses to show off your collection.

Diane Kruger did a complete 180 from her Narciso Rodriguez look yesterday, as she looks sensational wearing a one-shoulder green and black polka dotted Jason Wu Spring 2010 dress with an asymmetrical hem and crystallized Swarovski elements.

From her hair to the tips of her pedicured feet she is total perfection.

Her dress was accessorized with Roger Vivier heels, a Hunting Season clutch and Eddie Borgo and Tom Binns bracelets.

Jessica Stroup gets back to her best wearing a cute Jason Wu Spring 2010 ensemble including a navy colour block skirt and an ivory pintucked blouse with flutter sleeves.

I love the Sergio Rossi red clutch she carried with her look, and her Sergio Rossi’s purple metallic pumps.

My ‘It’ girl Katie Cassidy was in attendance confirming her style-status.

I much prefer the navy skirt she wore with the cream and grey pattern Jason Wu Spring 2010 look which was paired with Sergio Rossi pumps.

Fabulous as always, and sparkling with Miriam Haskell jewelery.

Despite the few times she has worked as an actress Lily Collins still manages to get invited to these major events.

The teen star wore beautiful Jason Wu Spring 2010 aqua dress with a bubble skirt.

This is a great look and I especially love the red waist belt and the patterned bodice.

What I didn’t like were the Sergio Rossi ankle boots.

Seriously, please can we ditch these ankle boots with everything.

I love Amber Heard’s Spring 2010 look, but I just wish she had worn the gold striped runway sweater which also sparkles with Swarovski elements.

Her look is paired with Miriam Haskell jewelery and navy satin Sergio Rossi slingbacks.

Hilary Swank continues to give red carpet master classes, this time wearing a Monique Lhuillier Fall 2009 black gown.

The cut-out details some how make the actress look even more slender and taller, and the embellish details prevent this from being a boring black gown.

Oscar buzz will guarantee you one thing – an endless supply of stunning dresses to wear on the red carpet – and that’s exactly what Carey Mulligan has been wearing lately.

The style-icon-in-the-making wore a Prabal Gurung Spring 2010 black beaded chiffon strapless dress with shirttail hem and silk faille bowtie to cinched in her waist.

She teamed her dress with tortoise-shell heels and a chunky gold bracelet.

I’m loving the quiff.

Zooey Deschanel is probably the only person who I feel dresses up with tights, rather than covers up with tights.

We often see her in various colours of tights, but on this occasion she opted for black to match the black trims on her cute Luella Spring 2010 dress.

Her look was paired with Martin Lewis for Luella bow accented heels and a black Chanel bag.

Like the runway model Zooey wears a black bow in her hair, but she opted to wears hers at the back.

There were a lot of black dresses at this event, but Kate Beckinsale’s Michael Kors Resort 2010 dress was made interesting with the asymmetrical neckline and the draped detail on the skirt.

Long gold earrings and a chunky cuff complete the sophisticated look.

Despite Diane Kruger being one of the few not to wear black at this event, I wasn’t crazy about her look.

She kept her look light and feminine wearing a Narciso Rodriguez Spring 2010 white silk dress with a rise and fall hem, but unfortunately the nude heels really let her down.

I loved how this gown billowed on the runway, and although that drama is lost on the red carpet Diane still tried to make it work.

I also preferred how the dress sits above the knee on the model, the length feels a bit awkward on Diane.

Julianne Moore is not afraid of colour, as she wore a beautiful coral dress with voluminous sleeves.

I adore the colour on her.  She can be so breath-taking at times without much effort.

The actress paired her dress with Chanel ankle strap heels, and a black Bottega Veneta Impero satin clutch.

Michelle Monaghan looked stunning in a black strapless dress with a floral embroidered detail on the bodice.

She glows as brightly as her Martin Katz jewels.

Dare I say this, but I’m bored.

Charlize Theron normally blows me away each time she hits the red carpet, but I can only get excited about her red Louboutin’s with a gold toe cap and Bottega Veneta clutch.

Her The Row ensemble is very meh!!!

AnnaLynne McCord provided the sultry glamour I was expecting from Charlize, by posing seductively in a one-shouldered black gown.

Taraji P. Henson is wearing a really nice Rachel Roy dress, but it somehow feels out of place at this event.

I’m also not loving the hair extensions. She worked the shorter style really well.

What’s most tragic is the make-up. Why does she have a layer of white powder under her eyes?

Zoe Saldana glowed as always wearing a Calvin Klein Spring 2010 ivory dress.

The dress which is gathered on the skirt to give it some shape was paired with gold accessories.

Jenna Dewan was one of my favourites on this red carpet, as she dazzled me wearing a stunning Edition by Georges Chakra Fall 2009 grey ombre dress with sequin bodice.

Black t-bar Louboutin’s and a black clutch complete this gorgeous look.

Theron’s mini me, Katie Cassidy looked sophisticated and demure wearing an ivory Lela Rose Spring 2010 halter dress which had a metallic silver print and waist band.

Her hair was loosely pulled back as she paired her dress with silver Jimmy Choo “Flynn” sandals.

Fabulous as always.

At first I didn’t quite like Juilanne Moore’s Calvin Klein Spring 2010 ivory, grey and black tank dress at first, but it’s slowing growing on me.

It’s not BDOTW worthy, but she makes it work for her.

I do love the texture.

Diane Kruger opted for a cute short sleeved Balenciaga blue, white and black printed dress with draping around the hips to define the waist.

I like the shape of her dress and the polka dot tights don’t bother me, but I so would’ve referred her to wear the runway version.

There has been a lot of rumors that Renee Zellweger and Carolina Herrera have parted ways, but this cherry red strapless pencil dress screams Carolina Herrera to me.

I love the bow detail on the back, which is accented with an gold jewel detail.

Becki Newton looks divine wearing a ivory corseted Dolce & Gabbana strapless dress with a flirty chiffon skirt.

I love her silver strappy sandals, but I’m drooling over her Chloe bow embellished clutch.

One of my many pet peeves are exposed bra’s – anywhere – this is not exclusive to the red carpet.

If Katie Holmes was going to show us her bra under her black sheer Azzedine Alaia ensemble she could’ve at least worn a push up bra.

Emily Blunt wore a nude tulle strapless Dolce & Gabbana nude strapless dress with a grosgrain waist belt tied into a cute bow.

Her accessories were very complementary to her look without being to matchy matchy.

Robin Wright Penn wore an Emporio Armani black tuxedo jacket and black satin skinny trousers, paired with open-toe Christian Louboutin heels.

I hope she reverts back to those wow-factor looks we saw from her at Cannes.

Dianna Agron wore a strapless D&G tulle dress with Burberry Prorsum platform heels.

These heels are so heavy for this pretty dress.

Brenda Strong’s black David Meister sheath dress is accented by an amazing crystal beaded neckline.

I could gush about that stunning neckline all day, as it’s so pretty.

Sofia Vassilieva looked so cute, in her age appropriate Ina Soltani white party dress with black leather strap details.

The lucky teen got to wear stunning Swarovski jewelry with her fabulous dress.

Another teen cutie Miranda Cosgrove wore a Vena Cava Mandala dress.

The two-tone crew-neck silk dress features a sheer chiffon yoke and asymmetrical metallic fringe and chiffon ruffles on the body.

I love the embellishments on this dress.

Cat Deeley normally always looks fabulous, but on this occasion she looks a hot mess.

Leave this look to those trashy D Listers Cat, you’re way better than this.

Whilst I don’t particularly have a problem with what Amber Rose to this event because she will never look anything but tacky to me, I did have a huge issue with her Ocotber Elle US magazine editorial which was more Maxim than Elle.

Of course it was style by Kanye West.

Elle, seriously, what were you thinking?

Christopher Kane is definitely the designer of the week.

In the space of 7 days he has dressed 3 stars on the red carpet after not appearing on the red carpet since Emma Watson made her appearance on Letterman months ago.

Diane Kruger was the latest celebrity to fall in love with Kane’s kooky designs.

She wore a Fall 2009 Christopher Kane forest green silk and black velvet dress with an ultra feminine silhouette which has an urban twist. With all its flounce and velvet this dress stay true to a down town feel.

I much prefer the runway heels to her YSL Fall 2009 black suede and elastic Divine ankle boots but other than that this is another home run for Kruger.

Diane attended the photocall earlier in the day wearing a cold shouldered LBD accented with a studded belt.

She also wore a pair of See by Chloé studded ankle boots which I love and must own.

It’s not easy following in Diane Kruger’s footsteps, but actress Shantel VanSanten was brave enough to when she walked the red carpet at “The Final Destination” LA premiere last week.

Shantel wore the same – but shortened – Chanel dress which Diane had worn the previous week when promoting “Inglourious Basterds” on “The Late Show With David Letterman”.

The black dress with the black sheer yoke and sleeves is embellished with ivory pearls plus gold paillettes decorated the shoulders.

Diane opted to wear her dress with pointy pumps, whereas Shantel opted for Nicholas Kirkwood pearl detail sandals.

Last week I loved Shantel’s shorter version and immediately wondered why Diane – who loves a short hemline – didn’t opt for the shorter version, but I guess that was because she making a TV appearance and not walking the red carpet.

Now seeing them side by side I appreciated the sophistication of the longer version more so Diane wins for me.

The “Inglourious Basterds” Amsterdam premiere I was waiting for never happened, so it should be safe to do this poll.

Diane Kruger didn’t have as many looks as Sienna Miller on her mammoth GI Joe promotional tour, but she was equally if not more impressive.

You will have to cast you minds back to May 2009 when this tour began at Cannes Film Festival.

She has since been to London, Berlin, Sydney, LA and New York.

My favourites are Atelier Versace, both Marchesa looks, Sydney and New York Chanel looks, and that stunning canary yellow Louis Vuitton dress.
