Diane Kruger Alexander McQueen ‘Heroine’ tote

Diane Kruger was spotted out shopping with her handsome BFF at The Grove in LA on Tuesday.

The actress, who had been shopping at Lanvin, wore a laidback look with no makeup, yet she still looks totally gorgeous.

Wearing pink Current/Elliott ‘The Stiletto’ skinny jeans, 3.1 Phillip Lim blush pink snakeskin d’orsay flats and a simple tee, the German actress becomes the latest celeb to carry the Alexander McQueen ‘Heroine’ tote.

Unlike the others we have seen, Diane’s features a lace laser-cut calf-hair overlay, which makes a bold style statement.

Diane Kruger for Flare April 2013

Diane Kruger graces the cover of Flare’s April 2013 issue wearing the same Bottega Veneta Spring 2013 dress we’ve seen on Rachel Weisz which was styled with a Louis Vuitton headband (also worn by la Kerry Washington), Efva Attling earrings and tri-colour Christian Louboutin pumps.

The rest of Diane’s editorial sees her wearing Miu Miu, Rochas and of course Chanel.

I’m excited to learn that Diane’s latest flick, ‘The Host’ – a film adaptation of Stephanie Meyer’s first post-Twilight adult novel – hits theatres on March 29. That means we get to see more of Diane’s impeccable style on the red carpet in the coming weeks.

Diane talked to Flare about her being a ‘Twilight’ fan, her character in the host and her special friendship with Karl Lagerfeld.

The magazine is out now. Here are some extracts from her interview:

On being a fan of Twilight: “I actually happen to be a big Twilight fan, which I’m not embarrassed to say. It sort of appeals to my inner teenage girl.”

On her character in The Host: “She’s so complex. She has that Stepford Wife-y kind of niceness yet there is so much more underlying there: rage and anger.”

On her friendship with designer Karl Lagerfeld: I’ve known him since I move to Pars when I was 16. He’s very kind and can be very funny and ironic and silly. In difficult moments in my life when I don’t really know who to talk to, I sort of drop by his studio and he knows me well enough to pick up on weird things. He really is one of the most interesting people I’ve ever met.”

On fighting hard for her role in Inglourious Basterds: “Every once in a while there comes a part where you feel like it was written for you. And it wasn’t. But I felt like I really cold bring something to it.

On valuing Joshua Jackson’s career input: “Nobody knows me better than he does. He knows exactly when I’m faking it and when I’m being sincere.

Diane Kruger In Giambattista Valli Couture - 2013 Vanity Fair Party

Never one to shy away from taking a fashion risk or two on the red carpet, Diane Kruger opted for a very unique look at the 2013 Vanity Fair Party, held at Sunset Tower on Sunday evening.

The German actress wore a Giambattisa Valli Spring 2013 Couture dress.

Her caped long-sleeve white dress with black velvet beading and asymmetrical hemline is yet another tricky look which Diane pulls off with ease.

Keeping her look simple she styled her hair in a center parted bun with a neutral makeup.

Faberge jewels, Christian Louboutin ‘Paulina’ white pumps with a black trim and Roger Vivier Boite de Nuit gold and black metal clutch accessorized her look.

Was this an fashion-forward risk that paid off, or does this look not work for you?

Diane Kruger In Stella McCartney - Stade de France

I love this picture of Diane Kruger, who was at the Stade de France in Saint-Denis, France with beau Joshua Jackson watching a soccer match between France and Germany.

Not only do I love her enthusiasm for the beautiful game, but I also love that she is wearing a runway look.

Only Diane can make going to a soccer match with 81,000 fans in replica soccer jerseys look so chic.

Cheering for Germany in the French section of the stadium (gotta love that too), the German actress wore a Stella McCartney Fall 2012 tweed blazer.

The part-varsity, part-English-countryside-chic look features a navy-and-white notched collar, covered by her Germany scarf, styled with simple black jeans.

Even when dressed down and not realising the cameras are on her, she is still stunning.

Diane Kruger In Stella McCartney - Der Naechste, Bitte Berlin Photocall

She’s done it again.

Diane Kruger managed to look amazing – with little effort – while attending a photocall to promote her latest film, ‘Der Naechste, Bitte!’ (Un Plan Parfait) at Hotel de Rome in Berlin, Germany this afternoon.

Appearing to have dressed in under 5 minutes, the German actress wore a simple black Stella McCartney vest with a tank top and Stella McCartney ‘Christine’ floral print pants with a tapered silhouette.

Black pointy pumps, a red manicure and a white watch completed her look with side swept wavy locks providing the finishing touches.

I can’t say I love the print. It works better for me on a dress, but Diane’s flair for making anything look good is perfectly on display here.

There was me thinking we could go a whole week without a celeb wearing a Stella McCartney look. I was wrong.

Dead wrong.

Chanel Spring 2013 Couture Front RowA diverse coterie of starlets held court at the Chanel Spring 2013 Couture presentation at the Grand Palais in Paris, including Clémence Poésy, Diane Kruger, Hailee Steinfeld and Rita Ora who all donned their own interpretations of the designer.

Karl Lagerfeld’s Couture runway was a study in gothic-tinged enchantment, but his front-row pretties were less coordinated in their kaleidoscope of looks that showed the many sides of Chanel.

Clémence Posey: The French actress kept things sleek and simple, albeit a bit one-note, in her grey tartan wool coat from Pre-Fall 2013. A black and blue Chanel bag (and a bright red pout) spiced up this look.

Diane Kruger: The German actress is a fashion girl, so it follows that her Spring 2013 black-and-white bustier dress would be ripped straight from the runway. But rather than the funky choker necklace and silver platforms, she went for a French schoolgirl vibe with a beret, a Chanel cross-body bag, Brian Atwood ‘David’ black suede boots and a side braid.

Hailee Steinfeld: The teen star also took the Pre-Fall 2013 collection for a spin with her multicolour cardigan, edged up with a black leather skirt and black cap. With Chanel’s neon yellow resin ‘Boy’ bag, this look ended up being a strange conglomeration of trends; it’s a wonder the young actress didn’t finish it off with a more dynamic shoe.

Rita Ora: The singer played the ultimate lady in red (and white) with her Spring 2013 cropped-sleeve, leather jacket and matching lipstick. But when worn over a lackluster white dress that scraped the floor and with a pair of heavy Alexander Wang leather lace up boots, this sassy songstress’s look may have pushed the boundaries of good fashion into sloppy territory.
