Datoka Fanning In Stella McCartney – ‘Now Is Good’ London Premiere

Dakota Fanning hit the red carpet at the The Curzon in Mayfair, London, yesterday evening for the premiere of her latest movie ‘Now Is Good’.

The young actress wore a beautiful Stella McCartney nude sequined body-hugging gown.

I love the gown, but it’s so not right for Dakota. I wish she’d opted for something younger and more whimsical; this feels too grown up for her.

Save this for the Eva Mendes and Mariah Careys of this world.

Dakota styled her look with metallic Jimmy Choo ‘Zambia’ sandals, a J/Hadley pink ring and a Lanvin envelope clutch.

The other thing I’m not loving about this look is that her hair and makeup are, as always, exactly the same.

Dakota Fanning In Gucci – 40th AFI Life Achievement Award Honoring Shirley MacLaine

It looks like Dakota Fanning’s bun at the CFDA Fashion Awards was just a teaser, as the talented actress was back to sporting a familiar hairstyle on the red carpet for the 40th AFI Life Achievement Award honoring Shirley MacLaine, held at Sony Pictures Studios in Culver City, California yesterday evening.

The actress looked beautiful wearing a Gucci Pre-Fall 2012 gown.

This coral silk georgette v-neck pleated gown thankfully isn’t within her usual nude colour palette, but some of you may argue that it’s not too far away.

Her bi-colour gown was styled with interesting black Gucci accessories, which included a leather studded belt, a suede studded clutch and strappy sandals.

Dakota Fanning In Proenza Schouler – 2012 CFDA Fashion Awards

Dakota Fanning had not one, but two dapper dates in New York City on Monday night for the 2012 CFDA Fashion Awards.

Walking the red carpet alongside Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez of Proenza Schouler, Dakota wore a long-sleeved kimono-inspired dress from the brand’s Fall 2012 collection.

The brocade origami-esque mini is an edgy new look for the young actress.

However, more importantly, Dakota has finally heard our pleas, as she wore her hair pulled back on the red carpet.

Thank goodness – centre-parted straight locks would have brought down the entire look, and possibly driven me over the edge.

Heavy Proenza Schoulder Resort 2013 black wedges and a metallic clutch accessorize the look.

Dakota Fanning In Louis Vuitton – 2012 Met Gala

Dakota Fanning did opt for a big gown for the 2012 Met Gala held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art this evening.

The young actress selected a Louis Vuitton lavender organza gown.

Her tulle and organza gown embroidered with floral ribbons was teamed with satin sandals and a silk lavender minaudière.

I like that she did something different with her hair, but I wish she had more height to carry this look off.

It also makes her look a bit boxy. I don’t find this flattering at all.

Dakota Fanning In Prada – 2012 White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner

Dakota Fanning graced the red carpet for the 2012 White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner, held on Saturday at the Washington Hilton.

Despite an all-too-familiar hairdo, the actress was much improved, wearing a Prada gown which was surprisingly not nude, cream, beige or clutch.

The actress wore a gorgeous embellished baby-blue gown with long sleeves, a plunging neckline and a keyhole detail which was embellished with silver floral embroidery.

She complemented her look with a silver Prada metallic box clutch, a selection of silver Cartier bangles and silver bow-accented Giuseppe Zanotti heels.

Beauty and hair wise, it was business as usual for Datoka.

Dakota Fanning In Elie Saab Couture – 6th Annual DKMS Linked Against Blood Cancer Gala

Dakota Fanning attended the 6th Annual DKMS Linked Against Blood Cancer Gala at Cipriani Wall Street in New York City last night.

The young actress made an attempt – that’s all we can ask – of giving us a new hairstyle whilst wearing an Elie Saab Fall 2011 Couture gown.

Her ivory and Swarovski embroidered gown with a sheer yoke looks familiar, no?

That’s because Diane Kruger wore a modified version of this gown during Venice Film Festival last year.

It was stunning on Diane, but yet another gown in the nude/blush/ivory/beige/neutral family from Dakota Fanning.

Sorry, but I’m so over her sticking to this colour palette, even if the gown is Elie Saab. Doesn’t she realise that these neutral colours wash her out?

With regards to the hair, can we really call this a new hairstyle, considering all she did was pin one side of her hair?

*Sighs*

A gold Jimmy Choo ‘Cameo’ clutch completed her look.
