Carey Mulligan In Gucci – ‘Mudbound’ London Film Festival Premiere

For the second night in a row we’re treated to yet another Gucci gown during the London Film Festival.

Carey Mulligan joined Mary J. Blige for the premiere of ‘Mudbound’, wearing a sheer look from Gucci’s Resort 2018 collection.

I’m so intrigued by this look as it breaks the mould of what I perceived a Carey Mulligan look to be: safe.

I love how this Grecian goddess dress is given a new lease of life off the runway with a mint-green lining to really throw the cat amongst the pigeons.

Black may have killed the eclectic vibe or made the look feel too formulaic.

Francesco Russo metal ‘Karung’ pink gold sandals completed her look.

I’m totally buying what she’s selling. Are you?

Carey Mulligan In Chanel – ‘Mudbound’ Toronto Film Festival Premiere

Carey Mulligan was seen on the Toronto Film Festival scene on Tuesday (September 12) at the ‘Mudbound’ premiere.

Chanel ensembles are, at their best, chic, timeless, and sophisticated—and that’s exactly what was found in this design from the Pre-Fall 2017 collection.

I love how the dress married a sweet femininity with classic form in the colourful tweed accents and double-C belt.

It was an effortless look for Carey—and ideal for the slightly more relaxed Toronto red carpet premieres.

Stella’s Got Her Groove Back / Most Improved 2015 – Carey Mulligan

Most Improved 2015 - Carey Mulligan

Carey Mulligan’s style has launched into orbit, moving from rather flat, uninspiring territory to sharply in focus, making her your Most Improved for 2015.

Countless have been the times when the actress simply has not sold a look to its full potential, leaving us with merely tolerable ensembles. But, over the course of this past year, she has experienced quite the fashion evolution, really hitting her stride by adding sophisticated, intriguing flair to her less-is-more style.

Now, she’s flaunting her ladylike signature with a just-cool-enough spin that’s clearly done enough to win her looks back into our good graces.

Just lately, she has impressed with a shimmery black Erdem tiered dress, a graphic Gucci stunner, and a Jonathan Saunders pastel-yellow glittery dress—each modishly memorable in its own right.

Carey is now confidently wearing her clothes, rather than letting her clothes wear her. Let’s hope that this trend continues next year.

Carey Mulligan In Dolce & Gabbana – The War Child Winter Wassail

Carey Mulligan In Dolce & Gabbana - The War Child Winter Wassail

Carey Mulligan attended The War Child Winter Wassail on Wednesday (December 15) in London, England.

The British actress turned to the champions of femininity and masters of sophistication Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana for her red carpet look.

She wore a black Spring 2016 leather dress featuring a vivid laser cut metallic leather appliqué, cut in a floral vine motif that represents a family tree.

You may be surprised to learn that I prefer the black dress over the pink, as it feels more appropriate for the occasion and the current season.

Carey Mulligan In Gucci - 2015 British Independent Film Awards

Carey Mulligan attended the 2015 British Independent Film Awards at Old Billingsgate Market on Sunday (December 6) in London, England.

The actress wore a Gucci Spring 2016 emerald, grey and silver lurex geometric jacquard gown featuring an embroidered bird and flower details which brings charisma to the sophisticated silhouette.

Methinks this will have an equal love-hate split.

I’m firmly in the love corner.

Firstly because this is such an unexpected look for Carey and secondly she manages to make it work by shaking off the geek-granny vibe we saw on the runway.

Love or loathe?

Carey Mulligan In Jonathan Saunders - Academy Of Motion Picture Arts And Sciences' 7th Annual Governors Awards

Carey Mulligan attended the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences’ 7th annual Governors Awards on Saturday (November 14) in Hollywood, California.

Swirls of metallic sequins and paillettes light up this Jonathan Saunders Resort 2016 short sleeve lemon dress which makes for a lasting impression.

This could’ve gone wrong in the styling department, so I’m delighted she wore those Aquazzura metallic embellished ‘Tesoro’ D’Orsay pumps to create maximum impact.
