Best Dressed Of The Week – Emma Stone In Christian Dior Couture, Camila Alves In Donna Karan Atelier & Eddie Redmayne in Prada

Despite you guys not loving the sheer skirt trend, Emma Stone was your favourite this week.

You were blown away by how modern and chic she looked as she opted, once again, to eschew a traditional gown, wearing a Christian Dior Couture look that was a bold take on the tux trend to the SAG Awards.

My favourite without question was Camila Alves in Donna Karan Atelier. Some might say a very predictable choice, but between the colour, the pose and the elegant draping, this look rendered me speechless.

When it came to the guys, the choice was simple and unanimous: Eddie Redmayne in Prada.

Camila Alves In Donna Karan Atelier – 2015 SAG Awards

Camila Alves In Donna Karan Atelier - 2015 SAG Awards

Camila Alves commanded attention on the red carpet of the 2015 SAG Awards on Sunday (January 25) at The Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, California.

Working an aubergine Donna Karan gown to perfection, she blew me away with this outing. The strapless design glided over her curves, with the draped detailing and side train delivering an enticing sense of drama.

This is a perfect example of the difference that colour can make. The power of this eggplant hue is significant, whereas the same gown in black would have not had nearly the same impact.

The minimal styling also took the look to the next level; simple diamond earrings and an Aldo clutch, along with sun-touched makeup and side-parted locks enhanced rather than competed with the dress, while showcasing Camila’s natural beauty.

Camila Alves In Monique Lhuillier – 2015 Golden Globe Awards

Camila Alves In Monique Lhuillier - 2015 Golden Globe Awards

Camila Alves attended the 2015 Golden Globe Awards held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on Sunday (January 11) in Beverly Hills, California.

The beloved Mrs. McConaughey wore a Monique Lhuillier Spring 2015 petal strapless column gown. Its silhouette and black piping accent is demure and polished, while the cascading ruffle along the back adds a subtle amount of spice.

I think that Camila could have dressed up the look a bit more by adding an eye-catching statement necklace to the mix. Her makeup was a bit too subdued, and could have been livened up with pale pink lip stain.

The hair pouf worked, as it led to further accentuation of her shoulder blades and back.

Best Plus One 2014 - Camila Alves

What was the best thing about Matthew McConaughey’s awards season run, and who was only person who had a 100% record throughout the ‘Interstellar’ promo tour?

Camila Alves.

So it comes as no surprised that we’ve crowned her Best Plus One of 2014.

This award has been pretty much wrapped up since Oscar night, hence there being no need for a poll.

Whether she was complementing her husband in a chic Georges Hobeika Couture jumpsuit or stealing the spotlight in breath-taking gowns, she always played the leading role in this delightfully handsome red carpet double act.
