Get The Look: Zooey Deschanel’s Feminine and Fierce Emmy Awards Makeup

66th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards - ArrivalsCelebrity makeup artist Jorjee Douglass created Zooey Deschanel’s feminine and fierce look for the Emmy Awards, giving her a fun, youthful makeup look created by using Charlotte Tilbury products.

“Normally for Zooey I use a coral-coloured blush,” says Jorjee about how Zooey’s bright Oscar De La Renta gown encouraged her to try something new. “Charlotte Tilbury blush in Love Is The Drug gave Zooey just that subtle pop of pink that she needed!”

Here’s how to create the look.

Jorjee started by hydrating her skin to reduce any signs of dullness before hitting the red carpet with Charlotte’s Magic Cream – a product that helps treat and transform tired skin.
Then, she prepped her face and eyes with The Retoucher Conceal & Treat Stick, which helped Zooey’s eyeshadow glide on smoothly and easily when applied to the lids.

Charlotte Tilbury Wonderglow was mixed together with foundation and lightly applied all over the face to create just the right amount of low-lit glimmer to what was otherwise a youthful, matte look made possible with the Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Finish Skin Perfecting Micro-Powder which helped to control shine.

Mixing-and-matching copper colours from two Charlotte Tilbury Luxury Palettes in The Dolce Vita and The Golden Goddess ensured a pearly, beautifully radiant accentuated eye.

To make Zooey’s eyes pop, Jorjee first dusted the lash line with a liquid liner then used Charlotte Tilbury Colour Chameleon Colour Morphing Eyeshadow in Champagne Diamonds, with a Dark Pearl shade being used to accentuate the lash line by smudging the liner slightly.

Charlotte Tilbury Cheek to Chic Swish & Pop Blusher in Love Is The Drug was applied to create a youthful flush with a fresh finish.

Finally, Charlotte Tilbury Lip Lustre in Ibiza Nights was applied for a brilliant mirror-shine finish that helped to create a 3-dimensional, voluminous pout.

Get The Look: Nina Dobrev’s Let’s Be Cops’ LA Premiere Glow

Premiere Of Twentieth Century Fox's "Let's Be Cops" - ArrivalsCelebrity makeup artist Beau Nelson worked with Nina Dobrev for the Los Angeles premiere of ‘Let’s Be Cops’ last week.

“Nina and I wanted to do something simple and fresh to complement her Zuhair Murad beaded dress”, said Beau.

Here’s how to get the look.

Because Nina was so tanned from her recent vacation to Bali, Beau used M.A.C. Face and Body Foundation in C5 to even her skin tone on her face and match it with her body.

He then used Cinema Secrets Concealer where needed for extra coverage and By Terry Touche Veloutee Pen under her eyes to cancel out any darkness.

Setting with Laura Mercier Brightening Powder under the eyes and La Mer Powder all over the face, he brought back a glow by spraying M.A.C. Fix+ on the sides of the face, avoiding the centre completely.

On her eyes he used a simple wash of the taupe shade from the Chanel Tissé Rivoli Shadow Quad, and L’Oreal Voluminous Miss Manga Mascara in Black.

On her cheeks, Beau used Hourglass Cosmetics Crème Bronzer and Tom Ford Shade and Illuminate to contour her cheekbones and jawline, enhancing what she naturally has.

Lips were kept simple with just a coat of NARS Larger Than Life Lipgloss in ‘Paris Follies’.

Taylor+Schilling+Orange+New+Black+Panel+Discussion+1jBUcvcdD2JlCelebrity makeup artist Georgie Eisdell worked with Taylor Schilling for Netflix’s ‘Orange is the New Black’ panel discussion.

She wanted Taylor’s makeup to be simple yet have a certain strength about it. So she kept her skin, cheeks and lips light, focusing on her eyes and brows.

Here’s how to get the look.

First she prepped Taylor’s skin with La Prairie ‘Platinum Rare’ Cellular Eye Cream and moisturized with Chanel Sublimage La Crème Texture Suprême.

Evening out her skin tone with Chanel Perfection Lumiere Velvet Smooth-Effect Makeup SPF 15, she then lightly powdered with La Mer ‘The Powder’.

She added a little colour to the cheeks using Tom Ford Beauty Cheek Color in ‘Love Lust’.

Georgie wanted Taylor’s brows to be really structured and groomed, so she used Tom Ford Brow Sculptor in ‘Taupe’, extending her brows slightly to really open up the eye and elongate the eye area.

On Taylor’s eyes she first applied Bobbi Brown eye shadow in ‘Bone’ all over the lid so she had a smooth even colour.

MAC Fluidline Eyeliner Gel in ‘Macroviolet’ was used to create a cat eye and then she went in with Chanel Soft Touch Eyeshadow in ‘Amethyst’ to make it a deep rich plum, blending it up ever so slightly to get a smudged effect. She finished off the eye with one layer of YSL Faux Cils Mascara in ‘Black’ and one layer of YSL Faux Cils in ‘Deep Purple’.

Georgie finished off Taylor’s look with Chanel Rouge Coco Shine in ‘Satisfaction’.

On Odeya’s cheeks, he applied NARS Blush in Deep Throat.

As mentioned above, the eyes are the focus of this look so he used Laura Mercier Metallic Creme Eye Colour in Alloy and Chanel Tissé Gabrielle Les 4 Ombres to create the smoky eye, finishing with Armani Eyes to Kill Mascara.

Cervando whipped those long brunette tresses into perfect shape.

He began by wetting Odeya’s hair and applying Bumble and Bumble Straight Blow Dry Cream from root to tip, combing through to distribute evenly. He further applied Shu Uemura Essence Absolue Protection Oil midway through the hair to the ends to add shine and flexibility.

Then, he started blow drying the hair starting with the front and sides using a medium-sized Ibiza Round Brush to smooth it out. Then he worked his way to the back and went through all of the hair once again with a Mason Pearson Flat Brush to create a straighter look.

Next, he used a Harry Josh Flat Iron, working his way from the bottom to the top of the hair for shine control and a sleek finish.

He sprayed Kevin Murphy Fresh Hair Dry Shampoo through the hair to suck up any oil and give the hair texture, and also sprayed Serge Normant Meta Sheer Dry Finishing Spray through the hair to keep it manageable.

Phyto Matte Texturizing Paste was added on the top and around the hairline to tame flyways and shape the hair around the face.

For the finishing touch, he sprayed the hair with Frederic Fekkai Sheer Hold Hairspray to give shine and hold the hair in place.
