Get The Look: Jessica Alba’s Spike TV’s ‘Guys Choice Sultry, Smoky Eye Makeup

Spike TV's "Guys Choice 2014" - ArrivalsAvon Global Celebrity Makeup Artist Lauren Andersen was inspired by the sleek, modern lines of Jessica Alba’s black leather David Koma dress worn to the Spike TV’s ‘Guys Choice 2014?, so she created a beautiful, dark eye look to match.

Lauren started with the Koh Gen Do Foundation as a base, then applied the Avon Ideal Luminous Blush in Heavenly Pink onto her cheeks.

To add some warmth, she then applied the Lorac Mineral Bronzer as a contour.

She gave Jessica’s brows a quick grooming with the Votre Vu Brow Wax.

Then, taking the Avon Glimmersticks Eye Liner in Blackest Black, Lauren lined her eyes and smudged the color out to the outer edge of the eye.

She used the Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Gel Liner as an intense shadow color. To get the crisp edge, she used a tissue.

To finish her eyes, she applied false lashes and a coat of Avon Mega Effects Mascara in Black.

She completed the look with a swipe of the Avon Ultra Color Absolute Lipstick in Pink Renewal, which kept her lips natural, yet with a pop of colour.

Get The Look: Gabrielle Union’s ‘Think Like A Man Too’ LA Premiere Makeup

Gabrielle Union MakeupCelebrity makeup artist Fiona Stiles worked with Gabrielle Union to create her beauty look for the ‘Think Like A Man Too’ LA premiere.

Fiona talks about the inspiration behind the beauty look: “As we were getting ready, Gabrielle, her hairstylist and I talked about the look and the dress. When her hairstylist said he was going to do a tight bun with a deep side part, clean and sleek, and then I saw the two-piece Dolce & Gabbana dress, I knew I wanted to do a red lip and soft eye on Gabrielle. Bronzy skin, a structured brow and flirty lashes looked unfussy while still feeling incredibly elegant.”

Fiona used bronzer on the eyes instead of shadow, to create depth, and skipped liner, making the eye feel not too made up. She wanted to keep the eye all about the lashes, and the look about beautiful skin and a statement lip.

She used false lashes on the top and bottom to open up her eyes, while also giving Gabrielle a stronger brow to balance out the strong lip.

Just a little bronzer on the cheeks gave definition without looking ‘blushy’.

Even though there is a strong lip, the look was all about radiant skin.

Jaime King’s Spike TV’s ‘Guys Choice Awards’ Smouldering Eye Makeup

Spike TV's "Guys Choice" Awards - ArrivalsCelebrity makeup artist Georgie Eisdell created Jaime King’s smouldering look for her Spike TV’s ‘Guys Choice Awards’ Emilio Pucci frock.

Georgie wanted Jaime’s look to be sexy and strong, yet simple and clean – so her focus was all on her eyes.

Eyes: To create such an intense smokey eye, Georgie first used Bobbi Brown Gel Liner in Black Ink along the lash line and in the inner rim. She then went over the liner with NARS Dual-Intensity Eyeshadow in Sycorax, pulling the shadow up into the crease of her eye and blending out slightly. She brought the shadow under the eye as well to create the smokiness. Then applied a couple layers of YSL Faux Cils Mascara to finish off the eye.

Skin: Jaime’s skin was evened out with Tom Ford Traceless Foundation and then powdered slightly with La Mer Translucent Powder.

Blush: NARS Blush in Final Cut was applied along the cheek bone to add a little bit of colour, but also to contour the cheek bone slightly.

Brows: Jaime’s brows were defined with MAC Brow Duo in Blonde very slightly, just enhancing her natural brow.

Lips: Georgie loves the natural colour of Jaime’s lips, she used Lucas Papaw Ointment for moisture and leaving her natural lip colour to shine.

Get The Look: The Olsen’s Radiant CFDA Fashion Awards Beauty Look

2014 CFDA Fashion Awards - Arrivals

Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen receiving the Accessories Designer of the Year for their brand The Row during the 2014 CFDA Fashion Awards on Monday (June 2). While the accolade was enough to keep the twosome glowing, it was celebrity makeup artist, Ana Marie Rizzieri’s expert beauty work that truly made the Olsen’s skin radiate.

Using an array of Elizabeth Arden skin and beauty products, Ana created a look that accentuated each sister’s natural beauty all while exuding the timeless and chic look they’re known for. The final results featured warm tones and fresh luminous skin.

Here’s how you can recreate this covetable Olsen beauty look yourself:

Skin: To ensure a flawless makeup application, properly treating the skin is essential. Mary-Kate and Ashley’s skin always looks picture perfect and this event was no exception. After cleansing, skin was prepped with Elizabeth Arden Ceramide Capsules Daily Youth Restoring Serum and Prevage Anti-Aging + Intensive Repair Daily Serum. To combat chapped and rough lips, Ana applied Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream to lips.

Face (complexion): For the perfect radiant base, Ana applied Elizabeth Arden Flawless Perfectly Nude Makeup in Alabaster to their skin. She followed by highlighting the under-eye area with Elizabeth Arden Flawless Finish Correcting and Highlighting Perfector in Shade #1. For added radiance, gently dab Elizabeth Arden Pure Finish Cool Radiance Highlighter above the cheek bones, down the bridge of the nose, and middle of the forehead.

Cheeks: On Ashley, Ana chose Elizabeth Arden Beautiful Color Radiance Blush in Terra Rose for a delicate and pretty flushed cheek whereas on Mary-Kate, Ana opted for Blushing Pink. For a touch of warmth, both women had a final dusting of Elizabeth Arden Pure Finish Summer Escape Bronzing Powder in Warm Glow.

Mary-Kate’s Eyes & Lips: Both Olsen’s wore radiant, warm toned shadows to highlight their eyes. Ana primed Mary-Kate’s lids with Elizabeth Arden Flawless Finish Correcting and Highlighting Perfector and followed with a generous dusting of Elizabeth Arden Beautiful Color Eye Shadow in Sandstone. She then applied Elizabeth Arden Beautiful Color Define and Highlighting Eyeliner Duo in Golden Sands from the top lash line to the crease as well as the bottom lash line. For a brightening and widening effect, Ana applied the pearl end of the liner to the inner corners of Mary-Kate’s eyes. For a more dramatic and smoky look, Ana blended Elizabeth Arden Beautiful Color Eye Shadow in Cinnamon into the crease. To finish the eyes, lashes were curled and coated in Elizabeth Arden Beautiful Color Lash Enhancing Mascara in Black. A coat was also applied to the bottom lashes which gave the look a bit of a 70’s edge. Although naturally full, Ana defined Mary-Kate’s Brows with Elizabeth Arden Beautiful Color Natural Eye Brow Liner in Brunette.

For that natural rosy pout, Ana swiped Elizabeth Arden Summer Escape Beautiful Color Gloss Stick in Pink Sky.

Ashley’s Eyes & Lips: Ana began by priming the lids with Elizabeth Arden Flawless Finish Correcting and Highlighting Perfector and layered Elizabeth Arden Beautiful Color Eye Shadow in Glisten as a base color. For contoured eyes, Elizabeth Arden Beautiful Color Eye shadow in Truffle was blended into the crease. Ana then applied Elizabeth Arden Beautiful Color Define Highlight Eyeliner Duo in Castaway along the upper lash line and smudged it out for a smoky effect. The shimmering blush-toned end of the Castaway liner was applied to the lower lash line and layered the chocolate shade on top. Ashley’s lashes were curled and coated in the same mascara. Ashley’s full brows were defined with the same brow liner used on Mary-Kate as well.

Due to the more dramatic eye look, Ana opted for a nude pout on Ashley. To create the lush lip, Ana lined and filled in the lips with Elizabeth Arden Beautiful Color Precision Glide Lip Liner in Honey. She topped the lip with Elizabeth Arden Beautiful Color Moisturizing Lipstick in Golden Nude.

Get the Look: Sarah Hyland’s Metallic Billboard Music Awards Makeup

2014 Billboard Music Awards - ArrivalsThe Modern Family actress, Sarah Hyland lit up the red carpet at the 2014 Billboard Music Awards in more ways than one.

Her Pucci ensemble and Oscar Tiye sandals featured metallic accents, so naturally she made sure her makeup included a bit of sparkle as well. Read on to recreate the shimmering look at home.

L.A. based makeup artist, Allan Avendano, prepped Hyland’s skin with Orlane Paris Super Moisturizing Light Cream. Don’t forget to show your lips a bit of TLC as well. Apply Dior’s Crème de Rose Balm for that smoothing effect.

Avendano always starts with eyes and Diorshow Backstage Eye Prime is the trick to preventing eyeshadow from creasing throughout the evening.

You’ll need three shades of a light reflecting eyeshadow to pull off the smokey eye. Diorshow Fusion Mono in Meteore was first applied to Hyland’s entire upper lid and also under the eyes.

Next Diorshow Fusion Mono in Chimere was blended from the center to the inner corners on the top and bottom of eyes. The lightest shade, Diorshow Fusion Mono in Lune was lightly blended to the inner corners of the eyes.

For eyeliner, focus on the outer corners, creating the illusion of a more opened eye. Dior Eyeliner Waterproof in Intense Brown enhanced Hyland’s soft smokey look.

Both Diorshow Black Out and Diorshow New Look were used on lashes. For the boldest of lashes, apply two to three coats of mascara and focus on the outer strands, creating a fanned out effect. Sarah’s effortless brows were filled and shaped with Dior Sourcils Poudre in Sand, which helps to diffuse the color and create a natural shape.

Diorskin Nude Foundation was used on Hyland’s face along with Diorskin Glow Maximizer to highlight. To intensify skin’s radiance, Diorskin Nude Tan Powder Bronzer in Sienna was applied to cheeks.

The lips are where the fun begins. You too can create a metallic color by mixing eyeshadows and lipstick as Avendano did for Hyland. Rouge Dior Lipstick in Trench was combined with Diorshow Fusion Mono Shadows in Meteore and Chimere. Eyeshadows can be rather drying on lips; so don’t forget to add a lip balm once complete to maintain skin’s moisture.

Get The Look: Sonam Kapoor’s Cannes Mix Eras Faux Bob

10251915_701153163279737_1627884316411124946_n

Bollywood actress, Sonam Kapoor, was a vintage delight in a billowing Elie Saab Couture gown for the screening of ‘The Homesman’ during Cannes Film Festival.

The L’Oréal Paris ambassador walked the red carpet working a faux bob ‘do with flapper girl waves. Mixing the eras, Sonam opted for a 60s makeup inspiration with bold red lips and heavy lush lashes.

Her ‘Great Gatsby’ hairdo help pulled the vintage look together. So take your hairstyle cues from the star and master her vintage updo in just a few steps.

Step 1: First section the crown into a triangular shape with a defined side part. Next, wrap this section around a small-barrelled curling iron, holding it a forward angle and securing each curl with a pin.

Step 2: Curl the remainder of your hair into loose curls. There’s no need to pin down these curls.

Step 3: Remove the hair clips from the top and brush out the curls into an S-wave pattern.

Step 4: For long hair, gather strands into a low ponytail and twist into a faux bob.

Step 5: For a finishing touch, spritz on some hairspray for extra hold and accessorize with a jewelled hairband just above the eyebrows for the flapper girl look.

There you have it. Sonam’s vintage ‘do right at your fingertips. To complete this look add a pop of red to your lips and a generous coat of mascara for a touch of extra drama.
