Olivia Culpo’s masterclass on how to wear red and pink together

Olivia Culpo appeared to throw out the fashion rule book (much like Sarah Jessica Parker) by combining the brightest and boldest colour-clashing trend of Spring 2017: red and pink.

Seamlessly wearing an Altuzarra Minamoto button-detailed sweater, Emanuel Ungaro Resort 2018 skirt, Gianvito Rossi Aramis patent-leather mules and Linda Farrow rose-gold plated aviator sunglasses, the model proves that some rules should be ignored.

The key to working eye popping brights is layering clean cuts with minimal fuss and colour-blocking.

I adore the flounced hemline which provides a super feminine detail.

Are you bold enough to work this trend?

Naomi Watts was all white once again in Rochas

Naomi Watts was spotted gracing the Soho sidewalk in New York City yesterday (August 10), looking as glamorous as ever, wearing her third white look in a row following ‘The Glass Castle’ screening and TimesTalk.

Donning a beautiful outfit that bridged the gap between film star and ultimate fashionista, Naomi wore a Rochas white pleated skirt and coordinating top with embroidered shoulder detail that we just can’t help but fall for this summertime.

The actress completed her chic look with a Fendi ‘Kan I’ bag, lust-worthy Victoria Beckham ‘Cut Away’ shades and gorgeous Aquazzura ‘Alix’ pumps.

Her Anita Ko jewels elevated her look even further.

Jessica Simpson takes the plunge in Gucci florals

Pop star turned entrepreneur Jessica Simpson, was spotted leaving the Bowery Hotel in New York City on Thursday (August 10).

Despite it being mid-summer, she is already reaching for her autumn closet wearing a Gucci Pre-Fall 2017 floral maxi dress.

Season aside, it feels very extravagant for a day time look, especially when you consider the rhinestone detailing.

Vintage-style shades, strappy sandals and a Dolce & Gabbana ‘Sicily’ bag completed her summer in the city look.

You may remember that Datoka Johnson wore this same dress during awards season.

Olivia Palermo rocks a French girl style Self-Portrait summer jumpsuit

Olivia Palermo was looking relaxed, super comfortable and oh-so-chic in her Self-Portrait Spring 2017 casual jumpsuit, which was the perfect item for her to switch gears.

I’ll admit, I didn’t like this at first, but I like that the foundation is simple and neutral with the addition of unexpected elements such as the buttons, trims, cut-out and lace which makes it all the more interesting and appealing.

I also love how the high-waisted fit and flared cuffs give the bottoms a 70’s-inspired touch.

Yes, there are some fit issues top end, but I’m loving this nonetheless.

Simple sneakers, Dior shades and a ‘Severine’ bag from her recently launched collaboration with meli melo, completed her look.

Jessica Alba showcases her blossoming baby bump in Tanya Taylor

Jessica Alba was quite the stylish mum-to-be while out in New York City on Wednesday (August 2).

The actress, who is expecting her third child with husband Cash Warren, wore a Tanya Taylor Spring 2017 frock.

Composed in an ode to summertime, this multi-colour floral silk-cotton dress punctuated by shoulder cut-outs presents a rare playful side to Jessica’s style.

Blue suede Stuart Weitzman ‘NearlyNude’ sandals completed her chic summer in the city look.

Celine Dion rocks Rochas on the streets of Paris

Celine Dion continues to live out a fashion fantasy in Paris, recently making the rounds in two totally different Rochas numbers that, while bold, will be likely considered slightly more tame than her recent Alexander McQueen run.

Thursday (July 27): I did say more tame, but with this Rochas Pre-Fall 2017 python coat and matching Balmain thigh boots, Celine certainly strutted on the wild side last week. Styled with a Wolford dress and a Celine Dion Collection bag, this matchy snakeskin ensemble maintains a certain sophistication for its sleek palette and is another look for the books.

Wednesday (August 2): Here, she really did dial back the statement-making punch in favour of a lesson in pink panache. There was much fashion-y charm in her Rochas Pre-Fall 2017 blouse and silky skirt, which was lovely for its more laid-back yet stylistic ease.
