Menswear Red Carpet Roundup

Here is a quick look at some of the dapper gents taking to the red carpet this week.

Common: The actor attended the ‘Selma’ New York premiere alongside the lovely Tessa Thompson on Sunday (December 14), looking pretty sharp himself wearing a Calvin Klein Collection suit. While the cut and fit is to be admired, I can’t help swooning at how the oxblood hue is so heavenly against his caramel skin tone. Styled with a blush shirt and patterned tie, the look was completed by a pair of Nicholas Kirkwood lace-up shoes with a contrast trim.

Bradley Cooper: The actor was back to his super-sharp best, donning a black silky-smooth cashmere Tom Ford suit to the ‘American Sniper’ New York premiere. The look is simple and classic, which only serves to bring out those gorgeous blue eyes. While I prefer Cooper with a bit of stubble, this clean-shaven look does have me swooning.

Dan Stevens: The British actor attended the ‘Night At The Museum: Secret Of The Tomb’ London premiere held at the Empire Leicester Square on Monday (December 15). The buttoned-up shirt tieless look doesn’t always work for me as it has a feeling of being not quite finished, yet with the slickness of the suit styled with the studded shoes, I would say Dan pulls this look off with great aplomb.

Here is a final look at some of the fellas who took to the red carpet this week.

Ansel Elgort: The actor was on hand to announce the 21st Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards nominations on Wednesday (December 10) in Los Angeles, California. He wore a Brioni Spring 2015 grey checked suit with a blue and beige sweater injecting a youthful edge to the look.

Lee Pace: The actor joined Evangeline Lilly on the red carpet for the LA premiere of ‘The Hobbit: The Battle Of The Five Armies’, looking very handsome in his striped double-breasted suit I love the tan shoes which completed his look.

Brad Pitt: The actor was on hand to show support for Rihanna’s First Annual Diamond Ball for The Clara Lionel Foundation. Looking mighty sharp in a classic tux, the look was styled with his ever-present tinted glasses.

Here is a quick look at three very dashing gents who took to the red carpet on Wednesday evening (December 10).

Josh Brolin: Joining a cast of lovely ladies on the red carpet for the ‘Inherent Vice’ LA premiere, the actor didn’t look too shabby himself, suiting up in an Ermenegildo Zegna head-to-toe look in a glorious blue hue.

James Marsden: The only man of note to take to the red carpet at the Valentino New York Sala Bianca 945 event was James Marsden. Decked out in a lush maroon slim-fit suit, the precisely tailored look was sharp with plenty of classic appeal.

David Beckham: Mr Debonair served up a classic tux while attending The Sun Military Awards: A Night Of Heroes. What a lucky so-and-so Mrs Beckham is.

Here is a quick roundup of a few fine gentlemen who took to the red carpet on Tuesday night (December 9).

Orlando Bloom: Joining Evangeline Lilly on the red carpet for the LA premiere of ‘The Hobbit: The Battle Of The Five Armies’, the actor went for a smart-casual Dior Homme navy wool two-button notch-lapel suit styled with a red cotton, small collar, graphic jacquard print shirt and smart sneakers. Was the look too casual?

Eddie Redmayne: Eddie joined Felicity Jones on the red carpet for the London premiere of ‘The Theory Of Everything’. Decked out in a very smart Hardy Amies plaid suit, the actor, as always, goes above and beyond when it comes to red carpet dressing. He has worn many a great suit on the red carpet, but this one is for his hall of fame.

Richard Armitage: Also taking to the red carpet for the ‘Hobbit’ premiere, the actor opted to revamp his classic style with a double-breasted, peaked-lapel plaid blazer. This marvellous piece was paired with dark grey trousers, not opting to go all the way like Eddie. Should he have, or do you like Richard’s take on modern suiting?

Men 5 december

Here is quick round-up of gents who took to the red carpet yesterday evening (December 4).

James Marsden:
The handsome actor attended the 2014 GQ Men of the Year party held at the at the Chateau Marmont in LA looking sharp wearing a Thom Sweeney navy mohair three-piece suit. Aside from by hypnotized by that rich navy hue, I’m also saluting the mix of burgundy and brown incorporated into this look. There is never a dull moment in menswear when James is around.

Richard Armitage: The actor suited up for the Paris premiere of ‘The Hobbit: The Battle Of The Five Armies’, held at Le Grand Rex on Thursday (December 4). Opting for the sartorial elegance of Ermenegildo Zegna once again, this time he looked even more dashing in a burgundy shawl-collar suit styled with a grey shirt and brown striped tie.

Menswear Midweek Red Carpet Roundup

Men 3 december

Here is a quick roundup of the men who have suited up in the name of fashion and movie premieres so far this week.

David Beckham: The former soccer star wore a Dior Homme wool and silk shawl-collar tuxedo. Black on black on black never looked so good. I love how he added a World AIDS Day red ribbon in support of the charity and his wife Victoria Beckham, who is a UNAIDS ambassador, while attending the British Fashion Awards.

Orlando Bloom: While the hair is a tad girlified for my liking, one can’t fault the British actor’s navy blue Lanvin silk shawl-collar tuxedo worn to the world premiere of ‘The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies’ on Monday alongside Evangeline Lilly.

Harry Styles: Always looking very sharp, Harry wore a red vertical-striped suit from Lanvin’s Fall 2014 collection. Probably committing something of a fashion faux pas wearing a French brand to the British Fashion Awards, who has time to nitpick when this mod look suits his style to a T?
