Celebrities Love…Burberry’s DK88 Bag

Some handbags just have a certain je ne sais quoi. It’s an ‘x factor’ that makes them so relevant and enviable—and likewise beloved by celebrity darlings.

Such is certainly the case for Burberry’s DK88 bag, named in honour of the house’s code for its signature honey-coloured gabardine, a fabric that’s at the heart of the brand’s history. There’s no question this purse lives up to its heritage name, too, what with its timeless silhouette and classic appeal all crafted in exclusive trench leather.

The structured bag’s clean lines and sculptural handle, coupled with the oversize lock, make it an easy accessory to pair with almost anything. It’s an ideal carry-along for every street-style occasion.

Some of its biggest celebrity fans, including Elizabeth Debicki, Kate Hudson and Naomi Campbell, have shown the versatility of the bag and how it transitions seamlessly from look to look, adding tailored punch to everything from a daytime trench and denim to a night-on-the-town glam statement.

Even better, it comes in 16 saturated yet subtle colourways such as ink blue, blossom pink, moss green, dark chocolate and ochre, and bright toffee that look just as delicious as they sound.

Celebrities Love…Ralph & Russo Couture

The hottest—and hautest—duo in Hollywood right now? None other than designers Tamara Ralph and Michael Russo of Ralph & Russo.

Their Spring 2017 Couture show was made for the red carpet with glorious look after glorious look—55 in total—all with a take-your-breath-away sensibility.

Ethereal draping, sultry bustier styling, cascading ruffles, enchanting arrays of embellishment, sophisticated lines, sculptural silhouettes… such are the magical ways of a Ralph & Russo confection.

So, it’s no wonder that A-listers have fallen in love with the spellbinding styles of these seductive showstoppers.

Celebrity darlings including Hailee Steinfeld, Jennifer Lopez, Jessica Alba, Priyanka Chopra, and Sara Sampaio have all gravitated towards the house’s gorgeous gowns.

Supermodel Alessandra Ambrosio, who strutted in the Spring 2017 Couture show, couldn’t get enough of the designer—bringing the runway to the red carpet with two looks in one night for the Oscars parties.

And, Brie Larson also has two Ralph & Russo gowns to her name now in as many days, first at the Oscars parties then at the ‘Kong: Scull Island’ premiere.

Eight is currently the magic number, as that’s the number of Ralph & Russo dazzlers we’ve seen just since Sunday’s 2017 Oscars.

And I say, keeping them coming—every day of the week.

Celebrities Love…Vetements X Manolo Blahnik Satin Boots

Vetements is slowly taking the fashion world by storm presenting collection entirely made up of collaborations with well-known brands from Levi’s to Juicy Couture, which designer Demna Gvasalia presents during Couture week.

Part of his Spring 2017 men’s and women’s collections were a standout pair of waist-high boots, created in conjunction with Manolo Blahnik.

Rihanna was of course the first to be seen in these boots while on tour, with Kim Kardashian West following making a fashion statement all of her own. No doubt Anna Dello Russo will be papped wearing them – if she hasn’t already.

For those not daring enough to wearing bright orange waist-high boots, the five piece collection – which is exclusive to Net-A-Porter.com, does feature easier to wear styles such as pumps, ankle-tie pumps, kitten-heel slingbacks, thigh-high and ankle boots – all with a satin finish.

Celebrities Love House of CB 2

A storm of CB dolls have been none too shy to strut out their love affair with the House of CB.

Seductively chic, the London-based label is a surefire way to make an entrance, checking all the boxes on sexy, body-con styling—skin-baring slits, strategic cutouts, deep necklines, and bandage silhouettes are the M.O. at this house.

So it comes as no surprise that the models and PYTs among the celebrity set are especially enamoured by the designs.

Jennifer Lopez found plenty of favour in House of CB’s second-skin mini while Vanessa Hudgens channeled an alluring vamp in a black lace gown. Keke Palmer took the plunge in a bodysuit and slit-to-there skirt and Joan Smalls showed off her model form in a daring, peekaboo LBD.

Celebrities Love…Tuxedo Dressing

Celebrities Love Tuxedo Inspiration

Ever since Yves Saint Laurent’s iconic ‘le smoking’ entered the sartorial scene in the ’60s, the women’s tuxedo has captivated fashion darlings with its androgynous implications and sultry, structured appeal.

Now a women’s wear classic, the tux shows no signs of exiting the style vocabulary with the celebrity set embracing it at every turn. Just recently, a flush of starlets have debuted new reinterpretations of the tux-inspired silhouette, proving it’s not solely relegated to the traditional suit.

Gabrielle Union combined two trends—the tux and transparency—and made an instantly good impression with her Akris Fall 2015 tuxedo-style, side-slit dress with sheer detailing that added a seductive softness to the tailored sleekness of the look.

Another spin on the suit came with Nina Dobrev’s Diane Von Furstenberg Fall 2015 tuxedo romper, where she amped up the charm meter by pairing it with a confetti-print blouse for a fun, youthful effect.

As for Sophia Bush, she showed just how sexy a suit can be by donning a tuxedo mini dress featuring a plunge neckline anchored by satin lapels. The result was nothing short of sophisticated glamour mixed with contemporary edge.

Step aside, guys. These tuxes are made for the girls.

Celebrities Love…Culottes

Celebrities Love Culottes

The culottes club is rapidly growing in membership, adding new converts nearly every day who are strutting out chic looks in praise of the pants.

An underlying trend on the scene for more than a year, it’s safe to say that the voluminous, wide-legged trousers have found their footing amongst a flock of style darlings who have been none too shy in taking them for a spin.

Something of an acquired taste for many, culottes are all about the right proportions and sharp, clean tailoring, which is worth its weight in gold when it comes to this modern version of a midi.

Even bright magenta culottes can achieve sophisticated standards, as Keke Palmer shows in her Solace London ensemble, where she wears the high-waisted, structured pants with a simple cropped top for a look that’s packed with panache.

Playing with pattern instead of colour, Ashley Madekwe wore a Self-Portrait pair that boasted slightly less volume but no less boldness in the checquerboard print and the cutout, asymmetrical top.

An even breezier rendition, Alicia Vikander’s Rosetta Getty look displayed the ultimate in simple, feminine elegance—with a mod edge.

Are you convinced by these culottes?
