Lea Michele In Elie Saab – 2013 Golden Globe Awards

Lea Michele In Elie Saab - 2013 Golden Globes Awards‘Glee’ diva Lea Michele always knows how to strike a red-carpet pose, and the 2013 Golden Globe Awards at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, California were no exception.

The starlet glittered from head to toe in an embellished, white Elie Saab gown from the Spring 2012 collection, matched with a stunning emerald green earring.

Offsetting the halter neck, Lea added some of her signature sexiness with the thigh-high slit through which one of her bronzed pins peeked.

After her fresh Elie Saab turn at the 2013 People’s Choice Awards, it’s no wonder Lea wanted to strut out another look from the designer.

She wore her brunette locks were down and wavy, but with the neckline of the dress, her hair may have benefited from a soft updo.

With the fishtail train and beading, this look did have some borderline bridal tinges for me—minus that revealing slit, of course.

    Beautiful. Nothing at fault here.

      +1 I didn’t get bridal at all

I like the dress on her and she doesn’t seem to be posing as ridiculously as usual. I needed the lip to have some color to help the face…

Me too. The hair is OK and the gown is gorgeous, but a lipstick is missing.

I was thinking the same, she tends to go for nude. Id love to see some colour. The rest is gorgeous

The gown is beautiful, the hair should’ve been in a soft updo, agree.

Looks like a sexy bride. Not the usual Elie Saab silhouette.

I think she looks beautiful, definitely my favorite at the event! I like her hair down, although I think that it would also look elegant up. It is a bit bridal but still gorgeous!

it reminds me of the ODlR dress she wore to the SAGS last year. I wish she’d worn an updo, that’s all for styling. The dress WOULD be lovely but for the slit. As it is I can’t like it.

I really love this. I would have preferred her hair up but that doesn’t kill the look for me. She looks great here!

I was wondering why Fashion Critic was being so…nice about a fairly boring carpet…until I realized she didn’t write these lol

She was orange. Oompa-Loompa orange. Stop the tanning, sweetie.

That said…soft, loose updo, and some darn color on her lips, would take this from “oh, pretty” to “oh, wow.”

glad she’s finally posing like a human and not a blow-up doll.

Beautiful dress but the styling could have been improved a little: hair up, different shoes and a colourful lipstick.

  15. Christina January 14, 2013 at 07:40 #

I think she looks stunning. A tiny bit bridal, yes, and the hair and lips could of been put a little more effort into, but it doesn’t ruin the look for me, personally. I’m just glad to see her smiling (she’s got such a beautiful smile) and posing well, and not pouting, making awkward twists and turns. It seems she’s finally finding her own look/style and way of being.

The tan makes her look like a playmate.

  17. Amy January 14, 2013 at 13:39 #

the dress is ok but I saw some videos and boy she looked awful. Not because of the dress but she was literally orange. She needs to lay off the tan.

  18. Jess2 January 14, 2013 at 13:54 #

I think she looks great, the dress is really beautiful and loving the emerald jewels!

  19. Alina January 14, 2013 at 15:48 #

    Love it!

It’s a gorgeous simple gown and she looks beautiful. I would have loved a soft bob updo and some color on her lips I think, to take it to the next level. Her accessories are great though and her face and hair look very nice.

  21. Dhppy January 14, 2013 at 18:55 #

I don’t think this is the right marriage of designer and celebrity. She looks slightly better than usual, but the Elie Saab doesn’t look as breathtaking on her as it usually would on others. It all works, but it’s not very exciting.

  22. Jones19 January 14, 2013 at 20:06 #

Why do I feel like I’ve seen this look many times before? Total deja vu.

  23. Danielle January 15, 2013 at 03:30 #

Wow!!!!! She looks SPECTABULOUS! A very chic and elegant gown!
