Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge joined in with the ladies of the Vaiku Falekaupule in a traditional welcome dance with Prince William, Duke of Cambridge in Tuvalu this evening.
The Duchess got her groove on wearing an Alice by Temperley ‘Beatrice’ dress (ironically) from the Pre-Fall 2012 collection.
Her beautifully bohemian cream crepe maxi dress with red and beige embroidery and a sweet keyhole-fastening neckline was worn with a traditional grass skirt and floral headdress.
We can’t see her shoes with this maxi dress, but l will take a guess and say she wore her Stuart Weitzman wedges.

For the first time she really seems 30.
Looks like she had a great time! The dress is perfect for this occasion.
She looks like she is having fun and she looks great in the dress.

Good to see her joining in the fun and tradition. I don’t get whats the fuss about her wearing the same shoes all the time. We all have limited and favored pairs of heels in our closets, so why not her? Just because she’s a royal now? It seems we are the ones that are material about these petty things, not Kate.
for real, I really don’t see a big deal in her wearing the same shoes all the time at all, it feels SO petty. I’m so glad someone else feels this way because it’s just absurd. calm down people
There are some of us who are more into shoes than the outfits. I’m one of them, and I have been consistently underwhelmed by the so-called fashion icon’s shoe choices.
I’m with you, girls
she is ADORABLE! And I love that dress.
This shot seems to sum up what this tour was about -connecting with different cultures and traditions. It wasn’t really about anything fashionable as it might more legitimatly be if Kate was appearing in high fashion centers like Paris, New York or London. Overall, I think she played her role beautifully and it puzzles me why people are expecting more from her…..
Looks like she’s having fun. Good for her — getting in the spirit of things. Wish we could see the whole dress.
grrreat choice! like how she gets down and tries to be part of each culture she visits!
Or maybe she’s barefoot which would be a better choice.
She’s wearing some sort of elevated shoe because in other photos she is at about her usual eye level with The Prince.
Great choice of dress, and she seems game for the event.
She looks like she’s having SO much fun and the dress is so pretty! Perfect for the occasion!
She looks like she’s having lots of fun, like she does every time she must pretend to have lots of fun, as she did last year in the U.S. I find all this very anachronistic, honestly, even when Prince Charles and Camilla do it. The dress is cute, anyway. She needed to be on the other side of the world to sport something right for her age.
She looks supercute in the pic, but I really dislike this dress. Much as that white and gold McQueen she wore previously, it looks like something a Game of Thrones extra would wear.
