Katie Holmes attended the 9th Annual Style Awards at the Lincoln Center in New York City last night.
For the event, Katie chose a quintessential Carolina Herrera ensemble, which included an open-necked black shirt and a pleated metallic skirt garnished with black beading.
Although Katie looked lovely, if not a little thin, I can’t help but think that a classic outfit such as this might be more at home on a more mature woman.
I’m glad she’s worn her hair in a messy ponytail and donned a pair of sparkly pumps. It helped to keep her look younger.

Don’t like the shirt and the skirt together, and the skirt makes me think of the tablecloth on the table beside her (maybe Anna Wintour could’ve worn it with a pair of her beloved Manolo Blahnik kitten heels). Do like hair and makeup.
This seems like something Diane Keaton or Meryl Streep would wear. Not an outfit I particularly enjoy on Katie.

I think if she wore a different something more suited for nighttime this woould have looked better. Also I wish her hair was down.
FC, I suspect that you may be working on other projects because it feels like something is missing from your blog. The posts are not as much as they used to be. It used to be that if I missed visiting your website one day, I’d have to go up to page 7 or 8 to catch up. Now, it doesn’t feel like I even skipped day. I miss how things used to be and I hope all is well.

This combo looks too matronly and mature on her. BUT on a sidenote, men from my office saw these pictures of her on yahoo today and they were all ranting and raving about how “stylish” and “hot” she looked. She is beautiful but I was shocked at that response to this unflattering outfit.
Not a fan of this look.
I am sure this outfit looked great when she was standing tall in front of a mirror but she has a tendency to slouch making the tucked in shirt look always messy.
Another top that showed more skin would have look better and younger.

actually – awesome! best she looked in YEARS. I like her ponytail as her dark hair would’ve been overwhelming with this black shirt. but this way it works!
