Fan Bingbing was out again last night in support of Louis Vuitton as the French fashion house continued their two-day publicity extravaganza in Shanghai, China.
Last night Louis Vuitton reprised the extravagant fall train-themed presentation showcased in Paris back in March for an excited Asian crowd.
It seems that you failed to fall in love with Fan Bingbing’s first Louis Vuitton look, so how does this Fall 2011 all-black ensemble fare?
Opting for a vampy look, the Asian actress wore a black high-waisted skirt over a black sheer blouse and black vest top.
She accessorized with black leather gloves, a black LV Alma bag and platform peep-toes.
Victory rolls and a red lip colour provided the only touch of colour.
Love or loathe?

I don’t know why but I love this look more than her previous LV look. Although very costumey I love the dark aura!
+1
she pulls it off very well
She could have done without the gloves. I think it’s too much. I like her look despite that.
Loathe!
+1 – completely!!!!!
Better than the previous LV look, but too costumey as usual, which is the main reason I can’t get too excited by her and her outfits. She should stick to Elie Saab gowns, other than that she always seems to be trying too hard.
This is my issue with Fan Bing Bing, She sometimes wears dresses like a costume. Just because she’s wearing a dark dress she feels the need to vamp it up.
That is true but I like this look here. At least she keeps it interesting. Never a dull moment with her fashion choices
Agree with both Ade and Christine. She is costumey and she is good at it. So it comes down to whether or not you like the character she is playing. This one is a little overdone for me.
Too much of a good thing. I’ll give her a pass on the bag because it was a Louis Vuitton event so clearly she needed to be carrying something significant in terms of a handbag. The shoes and the hair and make-up, on the other hand, are total overkill. She needed a more sedate shoe to offset the aggression of the dress and a simple cat-eye and less literal hairstyle would have really lifted this look in my estimation. Love, love, love the gloves though. Perfect for the mood of this look and the A/W 2011 collection that it came from.
she looks like she is at a fancy dress party and decided to dress as dita von teese.
too much…
Could this look have been toned down? Perhaps. But overall, I like it. The only thing I strongly dislike about it are the shoes.
You absolutely CANNOT say this woman doesn’t keep things interesting. Love or loathe… always fun to watch.
This is exactly how I see it. You just can’t predict what’s she’s going to do next.
Totally agree with both of you! It’s not a question of trying hard or not but a question of surprising us and I love the fact that she loves fashion and she plays with it contrary to for instance Gaga who, I feel makes a mockery out of it! Fan loves it and you can feel it and see it even if it’s not always a success at least she tries to entertain us.

I don’t loathe it. It’s kind of fun, and she has the beauty and the attitude to get away with it.
As for the gloves — why not?!?
OTOH, I don’t love it either. I don’t find the dress itself especially attractive.
+1.
one word, ugly
Loathe.
Absolutely horrible, much worse than her previous look imo. Way too vamped up, fake and contrived.
Better than the previous look, but too vampy, could have lightened it up a bit.
Definitely loathe. What’s happening to her?
perhaps she’s styling herself.
its overdone. the hair, gloves and bag. she should have carry a clutch instead
