Katy Perry joined Selena Gomez on the red carpet for the 2012 MuchMusic Video Awards at MuchMusicHQ in Toronto, Canada, this weekend.
The singer not only performed her latest single ‘Wide Awake’ but she also collected two awards for ‘Favourite International Artist’ and ‘International Video of the Year’.
Going as a futuristic gladiator, the singer wore a VAWK Resort 2012 dress.
The halter dress featured a black mini dress with a gold laser-cut bib with a flowy chiffon skirt draping from the empire-waist.
Black Christian Louboutin heels, a gold bracelet and a purple-and-black wig completed her look.

Clearly this is being worn as a Wonder Woman-inspired costume rather than high fashion, and it is Katy Perry being Katy Perry. I think she has a little more bust than the dress was designed for, but again – that’s her thing. I kind of like the purple hair here. The little girls in heavy make up give the the total creeps, though.
I hate to say it, but she looks gorgeous. Love the hair color on this occasion. That dress also suited her personality.
The name of the label is VAWK, by sunny fong. I know this b/c I went to the sample sale at his studio with a friend who tried this dress on, buy opted for another. It was the first time I’d seen his pieces, he’s very talented, and I think Katy looks great. I’m glad that she’s supporting local Canadian designers.

I think that this is the best Katy Perry has looked in a really long time! She is like a sexy mix of Morticia Adams and Cleopatra! Hair, makeup and styling is great, and for once she doesn’t look like she is wearing a costume.

Looks be a beautifull this dress than Katy choice for use in this awards =) About the hair, i also feel sick of see she with these wigs same be in red carpet. With it, (sorry for say it but is what i think) looks are celebrate in it the carnival and halloween while are in awards/events. I prefer more see she without it and see she more with her black hair because this yes looks perfect in she. =)
