The 2012 Glamour Women of the Year Awards took place at Berkeley Square in London yesterday evening and nothing says glamour more than Donatella Versace in an Atelier Versace gown.
As we all know, Donatella often opts for custom looks, rarely wearing a look that has hit the runway.
On this occasion the designer and fashion icon wore a gorgeous strapless champagne-toned gown with gold metallic detailing throughout the bodice.
The main difference, apart from the colour, is the detailing on the bodice, as the gold plates are located on the bustline for Donatella.
Signature straight blonde locks completed her look.

The version she wore, definitely suits her better. I like both versions, because both of them look gorgeous.
This colour is great on Donatella, but the dress appears to be too long.
Great dress! but I actually prefer the runway version. PLUS Donatella scares the **** out of me!
fierce! only thing bothering me is the length.
Gorgeous gown but it’s a tad too long on Donatella.
Stunning dress.
It does not matter what she wears, she is still scary…
Yes, I was just about to say that! It doesn’t really matter what she wears, she’s too creepy and weird overall to pull off a good look. I mean, look at that face, those out of proportion lips, that awful neck and her hair looks like a wig.

I agree. the dress looks thousand times better on the model from the runway. Donatella is…creepy!
must agree with Betty and Gabis, and her arms are too musculin, right there with Madonna.dress is beautiful.
The dress is beautiful but her joker face is horrible and scary me.
she would have looked amazing if she put a paper bag over her face. The dress is pretty cool.
I would say, her version is far more commercial and wearable.
I love Donatella Versace’s creations, but why do fashion designers get away with being ridiculous (Marc Jacobs in his boxers as the MET Gala? Jeremy Scott in general etc.) She looks unhealthy and is a famous smoker (she puts cute stickers on her cigarette boxes to cover up the Surgeon’s Warning). I just the fashion industry promoted normal health, beauty and eating habits.
Prefer her version. When you look at a piece like this you can tell how much work went into it…amazing. I would love to touch this dress!
Love the dress, but she really should eat something. I love muscular arms and see nothing wrong with athletic girls (like Serena Williams) wearing girly dresses, but that face…being almost 60 doesn’t have to look that painfully scary!!!
Sorry, no matter how beautiful the dress is, I just can’t get past how downright SCARY she looks. Jeez, woman, get a grip. Aging is inevitable.
Love the colour on her..but y is she posing like this
