2019 Producers Guild Awards

Fashion Blogger Catherine Kallon features 2019 Producers Guild Awards

Here is a quick roundup from the 2019 Producer Guild Awards attended by Emma Stone, Amy Adams and Yalitza Aparicio.

Kate Beckinsale: After a few questionable looks, Kate wore a Yanina Couture gown which sees her return to familiar territory.

Mindy Kaling: Green is such a great colour for Mindy. I love the dramatic ruffle trim that wraps diagonally around bodice of her this Oscar de la Renta gown. The only thing missing for me was gold clutch.

Alison Brie In Brock Collection – 2019 Producers Guild Awards

Fashion Blogger Catherine Kallon features Alison Brie In Brock Collection - 2019 Producers Guild Awards

Alison Brie was one of the guest presenters for the 2019 Producers Guild of America Awards on Saturday (January 19) in Beverly Hills, California.

Serving up the perfect blend of ’40s romance and California ease, her Brock Collection Spring 2019 dress of course featured the signature tiered ruffled skirt designed with raw edges.

Her look may hail from the Spring 2019 collection, but she made it feel wintery with the deep berry lip and pedicure that was accented with a stunning pair of embellished sandals, which meant that no further bling was needed.

Linda Cardellini In Georges Chakra Couture – 2019 Producers Guild Awards

On a night that could have profound implications for a tight Oscar race, ‘Green Book’ was named the best-produced film of 2018 at the 2019 Producers Guild of America Awards, with actress Linda Cardellini in attendance.

Linda looked radiant wearing a pink strapless tulle embroidered ruffled tiered gown from Georges Chakra’s Spring 2017 Couture collection.

The sugary shade might not to everyone’s liking, but I adore everything about this look, including the complementary pink Edie Parker clutch, as this was the modern way to present a fairytale moment.

Constance Wu dazzled at the 2019 Producers Guild Awards on Saturday (January 19) in Beverly Hills, California, wearing a gold J. Mendel Pre-Fall 2019 gown.

J. Mendel is known for creating old world luxury designs, and this piece perfectly fits Constance love for embellishments and decadence.

While the halter neckline cut-outs provide a touch of sexiness, the overall look including the chic updo rendered this look sophisticated and timeless.

Yalitza Aparicio In Christian Dior – 2019 Producers Guild Awards

Yalitza Aparicio continues her superb run during awards season at the 2019 Producers Guild Awards on Saturday (January 19) in Beverly Hills, California.

The ‘Roma’ actress wore a Christian Dior Spring 2019 dress which instantly became show-stopping thanks to the feathered embroidery.

Delivering on two fronts – being both colourful and modern in style – this was one of my favourite looks at this event.

Metallic silver pumps, jewels and flawless makeup complete her look.

Amy Adams In Dundas Couture – 2019 Producers Guild Awards

Amy Adams joined Emma Stone for the 2019 Producers Guild Awards on Saturday (January 19) in Beverly Hills, California.

So far we’ve been unmoved by Amy’s offerings on the red carpet this awards season, as the majority of her looks we’ve found ageing.

On this occasion she’s the first to select a look from Peter Dundas’ first Couture collection for Spring 2019.

Emma Stone In Louis Vuitton – 2019 Producers Guild Awards

Emma Stone was back on the red carpet for the 2019 Producers Guild Awards on Saturday (January 19) in Beverly Hills, California.

You’ll be forgiven if you thought this was Michelle Monaghan, as Emma was showcasing darker locks for the occasion.

Dressed in a yellow Louis Vuitton custom Pre-Fall 2019 yellow dress, I can’t help but feel like this dress was made with her strawberry blonde hair colour in mind.

2018 Producers Guild Awards Red Carpet Roundup

The 2018 Producers Guild Awards was the event to attend in Los Angeles on Saturday (January 20), with a host of star making appearances.

Holly Hunter: While this look isn’t going to remain in our minds for long, I love the high waist and geometric-print bodice on the Elizabeth Kennedy Spring 2017 gown. A perfect blowout and arms that are giving us all major workout inspo are keeping Holly on the fashion map.

Timothee Chalamet: The ‘Call Me By Your Name’ actor has certainly been stretching his fashion legs his first award season, and continues to experiment. Since we have mostly seen him in more shrunken styles, this slightly oversized double-breasted jacket seems to be a departure. I’m not crazy about it on its own, but I like it as a entry into his overall body of red carpet ‘work’.

Leslie Mann: I consider Leslie to be one of the most underrated stars to regularly grace the red carpet, and this Reem Acra gown, paired with Irene Neuwirth jewels proves my point: The gown has absolutely everything I love in a gown: Bright colors, a gorgeous print, exquisite detailing and and overall joyful vibe. Thanks for never letting me down, Leslie.

Gwyneth Paltrow In Alex Perry – 2018 Producers Guild Awards

If you had seen this Alex Perry Pre-Fall 2018 gown prior to today, you’re opinion of this red gown would’ve been, “only a breathtaking entrance onto the red carpet will do.”

Unfortunately Gwyneth Paltrow skipped the red carpet at the 2018 Producers Guild Awards on Saturday (January 20), opting to shine on stage instead.

The floor-sweeping gown has A lister written all over it.

I’m in awe of the figure-flattering silhouette that nips in at the waist and hugs the hips, plus the sculptural shoulders and draped details which adds a seduction factor to the ravishing red hue.

Yes, a slick bun or a ponytail would’ve been the icing on the cake, but we all know Gwynie is very set in her ways when it comes to her hairstyle.

Jaimie Alexander In Christian Siriano – 2018 Producers Guild Awards

Jaimie Alexander also attended the 2018 Producers Guild Awards in Los Angeles on Saturday (January 20).

The actress wore a dropped-waist black and navy Christian Siriano gown from the designer’s Spring 2018 collection and a few diamond jewels.

Dropped waist gowns automatically bring an extra level of drama, but combining that with the panels of tulle and the contrasting black and navy has truly given Jaimie a moment.

I love that no necklace was worn, as it helps lean the whole look into the ballerina vibe, but by wearing her hair down, Jaimie and her glam squad kept it from reading too trite.
