2018 Evening Standard Theatre Awards

2018 Evening Standard Theatre Awards

Elegance and drama were common themes at the 2018 Evening Standard Theatre Awards on Sunday (November 18) in London. Celebrities joined Jenna Coleman, Claire Foy and Letitia Wright.

Phoebe Waller-Bridge: The evening’s presenter was perfectly coordinated with the backdrop in custom Richard Quinn, Gina shoes and Cartier jewelry. She still shone in her own right thanks to the alluring draped neckline and rich explosion of colourful blooms.

Sophie Okonedo: The winner of the Natasha Richardson Award for Best Actress projected ladylike refinement in Emilia Wickstead Fall 2018. It might not have been an obvious red carpet choice, but I am caught up with the open neckline and how the shoulders merge into the choker detail.

Suki Waterhouse: In Brock Collection Spring 2019, she presented a more unabashed vintage femininity than her typical style but she radiates in the outfit. The flared hem balances the oversized sleeves for a charming finish.

LOVE Magazine 10th Birthday Party

LOVE Magazine 10th Birthday Party

The LOVE Magazine 10th birthday party took place at Loulou’s on Monday (September 17) in London.

Lady Kitty Spencer: Referencing corsetry, the lace-up detailing on her Dolce & Gabbana Fall 2018 skirt successfully contours Kitty’s body while infusing attitude in her look, which she styled with the runway branded T-shirt.

Dree Hemingway: I almost didn’t recognise the actress without her trademarks tousled tresses. Much like Cara Delevingne, she successfully carries off the buzz cut. Her Prada look, which hails from the Fall 2018 collection, sees Dree pair a sheer tulle dress with an overlay; topped with the house’s signature triangle saffiano-leather patch and logo plaque. Seems simply enough, but I feel not many could pull off this look.

Lady Kitty Spencer In Dolce & Gabbana – Bvlgari Dinner & Party

Lady Kitty Spencer, the breakout start of the royal wedding, joined a host of stars including Bella Hadid and Sylvia Hoeks for the BVLGARI dinner and party on Thursday (June 28) in Rome, Italy.

You’ll not be surprised to see that the socialite is wearing Dolce & Gabbana, but you may be surprised to learn that this dress hails from the Fall 2018 ‘I Love Maiolica’ collection.

I love how this dress makes a strong statement with its full volume, pristine white finish and twirlable tiered skirt.

I adore the look book styling, and I also think this dress would look ever so dreamy with pastel accessories, but BVLGARI jewels completed her look.

V&A Summer Party Red Carpet Roundup

There were many more celebs joining Sylvia Hoeks and Ciara in London for the V&A Summer Party on Wednesday (June 20).

Lady Kitty Spencer: Taking inspiration from Sicilian Majolica ceramic art, this dress from Dolce & Gabbana is printed with a colourful and artistic array of painted florals motifs. Spotlighting a feminine fit and flare silhouette, the look was interestingly complemented by colourful Mary Jane pumps.

Princess Beatrice: I love the white MSGM ruffle dress and her Kurt Geiger ‘Stratton’ pumps, but her Pop & Suki box bag didn’t need to make a reappearance with this look. It just didn’t work for me.

Gwendoline Christie: This wasn’t my favourite from this event, but I did like the girlie flourish which came from the hairband.

Lady Kitty Spencer In Dolce & Gabbana – Serpentine Summer Party 2018

Lady Kitty Spencer is increasingly capturing the attention of royal fans as she emerges as one of the favourite members of Prince William and Harry’s extended family.

When it comes to the Lady Diana’s niece, she took one leap forward at Meghan’s royal wedding, then a huge step back at another royal wedding this weekend according to most.

Well, she had another opportunity to showcase her red carpet style at the 2018 Serpentine Summer Party on Tuesday (June 19) in London, where she wore Dolce & Gabbana for the third time in a row.

The majority will be pleased to see that the sheerness of her frock is tempered with delicate floral appliqués, plus you may also find yourself being distracted from the sheerness by her dazzling jewels.

No fussy fascinators were applied on this occasion, just pretty pink sandals and a silver waistband.

Does this look see Kitty back on track, or are you beginning to believe that she might be a one hit wonder?

Meghan, Duchess of Sussex In Oscar de la Renta, Lady Kitty Spencer In Dolce & Gabbana & Countess Spencer In Roksanda – Celia McCorquodale’s Wedding to George Woodhouse

Newlyweds Meghan Markle and Prince Harry were all smiles as they attended the wedding of his cousin Celia McCorquodale to George Woodhouse at St Andrew and St Mary’s Church in Stoke Rockford, Lincolnshire this weekend.

The new Duchess of Sussex – exactly four weeks after her big day – wore long-sleeved blue-and-white Oscar de la Renta long-sleeve paisley wrap dress from the Resort 2019 collection with a white Marks and Spencer Pillbox Bow fascinator and Carolina Herrera Scala Insigna clutch.

I’m going to be brutally frank by saying this is by far her worst look since stepping into the spotlight.

The dress appears too big, the styling appears clumsy and her hair was surprisingly messy. One has to wonder if she got dressed in the back seat of the car.

If I was to sum up this look in one word it would be sloppy.

I have always refrained from comparing the Duchess’s, but as Olga said in Meghan last post; “Kate’s style can be boring and repetitive, but I always find her impeccable: crisp clothes and tidy, glossy hair.”

In this instance, I wholeheartedly agree.
