Nicole Kidman In L’Wren Scott – 2011 Academy Of Country Music Awards

Honorary Country Girl Award
The 2011 Academy Of Country Music Awards took place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada yesterday.

Nicole Kidman arrived on the red carpet with her hubby Keith Urban wearing a L’Wren Scott Fall 2011 uber sexy dress with a side split.

The fitted python black dress reminded me of a green version Sarah Jessica Parker wore two years ago.

Nicole added a black fur bolero, Fred Leighton jewels and Manolo Blahnik kitten heels to complete her look.

Going back to the green version, I would have loved Nicole in that version.

Despite looking slightly uncomfortable on the red carpet, this is a great look for Nicole. I would’ve lost some of those jewels though, as they slightly over power her look.

Louise Gray Fall 2011

British designer Louise Gray showcased her Fall 2011 collection during Mercedes-Benz Russia Fashion Week in Moscow yesterday.

You have to admire Louise’s attitude towards fashion. She basically does what she wants to do and to hell with the “rules.”

When the first look came out, the person next to me said, “wow.” He was in total shock, like most of the audience.

I have never seen so many prints with one look. Clashing plaids, metallic polka dots, houndstooth checks, stripes and checkers were all paired with half metallic-half polka dot wellington boots.

It was a true carnival of colour, which felt well thought out, rather than colours and prints thrown together for the sake of it.

Bloomers, shoulder padded bras, fringed skirts, mohair coats, slouched jackets, and colourful mini dresses were presented.

Key accessories included oversized envelope bags/clutches, whistles as earrings and necklaces plus heart-shaped helium balloon hats.

It was baffling at times, but very entertaining.

Anna Dello Russo would love this collection.

Selena Gomez In Christian Cota – 2011 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards

Best Shoes/Best Dressed Award
Victoria Justice should be taking style tips from Selena Gomez, because this is a young stylish star dressing her age and having fun on the red carpet.

The Disney star was sans Justin Bieber at the 2011 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards, which took place in LA yesterday.

I guess they didn’t want to break even more teenage hearts.

Selena wore a summery Christian Cota Spring 2011 look which consisted of a chiffon sleeveless print top and crisp white shorts.

The best part of her look for me were her baby blue Camilla Skovgaard ankle point strappy sandals.

A Lauren Merkin ‘Lucy’ clutch, gold hooped earrings and glossy lips completed her look.

Head-to-toe she was the Best Dressed at this event by long mile.

Heidi Klum In Gucci – 2011 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards

Best LBD Award
Heidi Klum may have been the oldest to walk the red carpet at the 2011 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards, but she was the most beautiful.

She looked divine wearing a black Gucci Pre-Fall 2011 mini dress.

I love the spikey embellishments around the neckline to give her LBD an edgy feel.

I’m drooling over her Jimmy Choo wedges which provide the perfect finishing touch to her look.

It’s not quite the summery look I would’ve liked from her, but she looks amazing nonetheless.

Best Dressed Of The Week – Dita von Teese In Jenny Packham

For the 7th week in a row, we have agreed on the BDOTW.

Dita von Teese was the clear winner this week, leaving the competition in her wake as she graced the red carpet wearing a breath-taking Jenny Packham blue sequin gown.

She doesn’t wear colour too often, but the Princess of Darkness glowed in electric blue on this occasion.

Guli Fall 2011

Uzbekistan designer Gulnara Karimova had a front row full of well money folk at her Guli Fall 2011 presentation during Mercedes-Benz Russia Fashion Week.

Fawaz Gruosi President, owner and founder of de Grisogono, was in the front row along with many other Birkin carrying, fur coat wearing guests.

The ethnic inspired collection of exciting prints and bright colours appeared to be aimed at a younger crowd.

Gulnara loves texture from feathers, to lace to crinkle chiffon, leather and smooth silks.

A lot of the looks had open backs, which was also used to showcase the jewels.

I loved the models hair which incorporated an off-centre braid which worked its way down to a side bun.

The jewels were a huge focal point of this collection. Models would get down to the end of the runway and ensure the jewels were displayed.
