Jennie Wore Elie Saab Haute Couture For Mad Cool Festival Performance
Jennie performed as a headliner at the Mad Cool Festival in Madrid, Spain, as part of her European festival run promoting her solo music, where she performed songs from her Ruby era, including Mantra, Seoul City and her viral remix of Tame Impala’s Dracula.

While BLACKPINK’s styling often favoured a more polished, coordinated image, Jennie’s solo wardrobe has embraced vintage, early-’90s and Y2K influences with a streetwear-meets-rock-and-roll aesthetic. It feels more carefree, more rebellious and less concerned with perfection

That shift was reflected here, even though she was wearing an archival Elie Saab Spring 2003 Haute Couture look.
As seen on the runway, the look featured a heavily embellished floral corset-style top with a dramatic chiffon train layered over metallic gold trousers. Jennie reworked it for the stage by swapping the trousers for metallic hot pants cinched with an oversized Western-inspired belt, transforming an elegant couture look into something with far more attitude.

She completed the performance look with knee-high brown boots, oversized aviator sunglasses and, for one segment, a white shearling jacket from the Elie Saab Pre-Fall 2025 collection.
It’s a great example of how styling can completely redefine an archival runway look.
