Zendaya Wore Alberta Ferretti Promoting ‘The Odyssey’

After a very successful week in Europe, the cast of The Odyssey has descended on New York ahead of Tuesday night’s premiere.

Zendaya continued her run of white, Grecian-inspired looks, wearing an archival mini dress from the Alberta Ferretti Spring 2008 collection.

The soft silhouette alone evokes ancient Greece, but it is the cascading metallic gold chain detailing that really reinforces the inspiration, giving the dress its distinctive character.

She amplified that mood with archival Sophia Webster gladiator sandals. Some might feel the dress was enough and that the shoes were too literal. But (a) they made perfect sense here, completing a look in keeping with the film’s mythology, and (b) we should be embracing any event that sees Zendaya give us something less predictable than her beloved So Kate pumps.

After an already exceptional press tour, I can’t wait to see what she wears to the New York premiere. I have a feeling she’s saving her strongest look for last.
