On Monday, Elle Fanning attended SiriusXM in New York City, where she spoke about her upcoming film, Margo’s Got Money Troubles.

We all know Elle’s love for pastel and pale hues, so this pink Alberta Ferretti Fall 2026 silk jacquard dress should be a home run, right?

Sadly, no. Even with the draped handkerchief neckline, I found this look a bit ageing. I’m missing that je ne sais quoi that usually makes her style feel fresh, because here, the loose silhouette falls a little flat.

The burgundy Miu Miu heels only add to my disappointment. Rather than lifting the look, they feel disconnected from the colour and delicacy of the dress, creating a contrast that doesn’t quite land.

I wasn’t wowed by Elle on Oscar night, and this outing doesn’t change that. Right now, it feels like her style is missing that spark that usually sets her apart.
