Charli XCX Wore Helmut Lang To The Valentino Beauty Masterclass
Valentino Beauty hosted a star-studded masterclass at Gotham Hall in New York, featuring Charli XCX as the newly appointed Valentino Beauty ambassador.
The event, led by Valentino Beauty’s Global Makeup Artist Yadim, was a celebration of the brand’s latest launch— the Spike Valentino Buttery Matte Lip Color— and a display of Yadim’s expertise fresh from Paris Fashion Week.
Charli XCX wore a Helmut Lang Resort 2025 look. The outfit, a fusion of slouchy and chic, showcased her rebellious spirit with a touch of elegance. She paired a sleek silk black shirt with a black and white lace skirt, completing the ensemble with black boots.
The contrast of textures and the blend of rebellion and refinement in Charli’s look perfectly captured her style. It’s an edgy outfit that maintains a sense of high fashion, and I’m completely on board with it.
Allure got to speak to the singer about all things beauty and her ‘Sweat tour. Here are some extracts from her interview.
On becoming the new face of Valentino Beauty:
“I’m kind of really only into working with brands that encourage and amplify individual expression, and that’s obviously something that Valentino Beauty does… I think you can see that from the history of the people that they work with and also their products.”
On whether Charli subscribes to the “morning shed” routine:
“I can’t be doing that… No way. I sleep naked. Nothing on. I can’t be going to bed with a hat on.”
On growing into her natural beauty:
“In the last few years, I’ve kind of just, I don’t know, grown into (my curls.) I began to feel more confident wearing it in this natural way… I honestly just get out of the shower and let it airdry. And sometimes I’ll smooth the kind of top area, but generally I just let it do its thing.”
On sharing the stage with Sweat Tour co-headliner Troye Sivan:
“I think Troye just wakes up glowing! He just kind of has this angel glow around him at all times. So maybe if I bask in his presence more, it will rub off on me.”
